John on not deserving to be called out for playing something other than Patty Cake with Squints: “It made me feel terrible. Because I didn’t deserve it. I’m pretty good at taking accountability now, and I never did anything to deserve that. It was a really lousy thing for her to do.”
John on missing the memo that every song Taylor writes has something to do with an ex boyfriend or the fairytale of a perfect boyfriend: “I never got an e-mail. I never got a phone call,” Mayer tells the magazine, adding. “I was really caught off-guard, and it really humiliated me at a time when I’d already been dressed down.”
John on it being ok to mention sexual napalm, wonderland bodies and Jennifer Aniston’s vagina but not past failed relationships: “I will say as a songwriter that I think it’s kind of cheap songwriting. I know she’s the biggest thing in the world, and I’m not trying to sink anybody’s ship, but I think it’s abusing your talent to rub your hands together and go, ‘Wait till he gets a load of this!’ That’s bullsh*t.”
John Mayer is a dumbass this song was made three years ago, get a life. Stop being a little bitch and crying over a song that was made to express how someone felt.
First off, you are obviously misinformed since “Your body is a wonderland” was written about John’s first girlfriend from when he was 14… Jennifer Love-Hewitt? Don’t think so!
Second, John did not “whine” to Rolling Stone about Swift’s song and he certainly was not crying about it. He was being interviewed and they asked him this particular question during the interview. He just answered honestly and not you or anyone else can judge what one is feeling.
Third, John has said some pretty dumb things in the past and he has admitted to it after having gone through a lot of soul searching and like everyone else in this world he deserves a second chance without having you, the rest of the media and gossip lovers throwing every single wrong thing he has ever said back in his face.
Seriously, give him a break and try to write articles that actually make sense or at least contain verified and truthful information.
