Official Britney Spears Merchandise – PICS

Hot Topic cronies that are tired of wearing tops with a skull wearing a pink bow or Team Sparklepants on them and secretly dance around in red pleather jumpsuits singing “Oops, I Did It Again,” can share their Britney Spears fetish with the world.

Black t-shirts with “It’s Britney Bitch” and Brit’s face imprinted on them can be yours “just in time for Christmas.” Nothing says Happy Holidays like a t-shirt that looks like it was purchase from the back of some guy’s van.

I shouldn’t be so mean, but I am surprised this line didn’t include a Carbib.

Uma Thurman White Powder Malfunction – PHOTOS

I thought celebs had minions to ensure that they are photo ready before stepping onto the carpet at any event. Uma Thurman’s glam squad must be on vacation because she looks like she dove head first into a pile of blow circa Scarface.

Uma was guest speaker at The Feminist Press at the City University of New York’s 40th annual gala last night and walked around with powder caked on her face. This was similar to a Nicole Kidman make up disastuh at the ‘Nine’ premiere.

Word to the wise…. according to my makeup artist (the old queen at the Lancôme counter at Macy’s) anything with a high SPF can light up thanks to bright lights of camera flashes.

Take a Stand Against Domestic Violence: Shoe Shopping

It is a great marriage of two very important factors in life…charity and shoe shopping.

From October 1st – 15th, Marshalls, in partnership with its shoppers, will Take a Stand Against Domestic Violence. For every pair of shoes purchased, $1 will be donated (up to $150,000) to the National Domestic Violence Hotline. Through shopping the latest in-season, on-trend footwear with us you can help raise funding and awareness for the millions of women living in a cycle of abuse.

Marshalls and TJ Maxx are my personal favorite bargain hunting grounds. Off price shopping can be tricky, but with the company’s superior buying power and promise that all goods are genuine; it is safe shopping. So those Steve Madden pumps that were $90 at your favorite department store (and a trend worn by celebs like Rihanna, Heidi Klum and Mila Kunis) are legit and under $50. (Click HERE to see more fantastic finds from my recent shopping adventure at Marshalls.)

It is a true opportunity to buy those boots you have been eyeing or indulge in the rising platform booties trend knowing that you are helping a very worthy cause. It doesn’t get much better!

To help you shop savvy here are some trends for the fall offerings:

Pumps: A new pair of pumps if a fall fashion necessity. To add a modern twist, choose a style that will make a statement such as patent leather or animal prints. Oxford detailing is also a popular update to this classic piece. Pair pumps with menswear-inspired pieces such as tailored coats and belted jackets to add a feminine touch.

Over-the-knee boots: Polish any look with over-the-knee boots in a neutral tone such as mushroom, taupe or grey. Pair boots with skinny-fit bottoms and tailored jackets with structured shoulders and brass buttons to accomplish fall’s popular utilitarian look.

Flats: Every wardrobe needs a great pair of flats, and this season’s favorites include simple, feminine detailing such as ruffles, pleating and cuffs. These shoe styles pair well with fall’s chunky loose knits in slouchy styles, sweaters with textured, fringe or loopy detailing and military-inspired jackets.

Platform booties: Suede and leather motorcycle boots with buckle details are a favorite this fall. Transition smoothly between seasons with other style favorites like peep-toe booties paired with animal-inspired pieces.

Heidi Klum QUITS Victoria Secret

Heidi Klum will no longer be strapping on wings made of pink glitter and chiffon. Klum has quit the lingerie label. After 13 years of strutting, “The Body” has walked her last Victoria Secret runway and the 37 year old has ended things on a good note.

Via Page Six:

“All good things have to come to an end. I will always love Victoria’s Secret. It has been an absolutely amazing time.”

No word on who will be her replacement Head Angel will be. Currently Miranda Kerr is pregnant with Orlando Bloom’s baby as Doutzen Kroes is also knocked up. My guess is that Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrósio will be stepping into Heidi’s shoes soon.

Australia’s ‘Next Top Model’ Wrong Winner Announced – VIDEO

Oops. On Australia’s Next Top Model a live finale went awry after the host, Sarah Murdoch, announced the wrong name as the winner. Kelsey Martinovich was thrilled to be dubbed the Next Top Model but soon a horrified look took over Murdoch’s face.

[Wrong Winner Announced on Australia’s Next Top Model – VIDEO]

“Oh my God, I don’t know what to say right now,” Murdoch said. “I’m feeling a bit sick about this. No. I’m so sorry about this. Oh my God. I don’t know what to say. This was a complete accident. It’s Amanda, I’m so sorry. It was fed to me wrong. Oh God. This is what happens when you have live TV folks. This is insane. Insane, insane, insane….”

In actuality, Amanda Ware had won the competition. Somewhere in transit, the wrong winner name was fed to the host and the audience who was stunned and even one of the judges was in mid-clap as embarrassment overtook the entire show. Kelsey gracefully took the fall and told Amanda “It’s ok! It’s fine. It’s an honest mistake.” She then hugged Amanda and let her try to salvage a moment to be happy.

Rumors are already rolling that the entire thing was staged, but don’t feel too bad for Kelsey. She is getting $25,000 and a trip to NYC to hook up with Elite for being such a good sport.

“Sarah handled what was a difficult situation with utmost professionalism and grace. Amanda and Kelsey were neck and neck in the voting all night.
We apologize to Kelsey for the error, and Foxtel will be sending her to New York as well as awarding her $25,000 as a prize.”

Lux Looks for Less: Marshalls/TJ Maxx Power

It’s no secret I adore Marshalls and TJ Maxx. To me, it’s like hunting or the female equivalent of football. You never know what you are going to find and every trip yields a trove of off price treasures. Aside from walking into the store and smelling the leather from brand new leather sling backs, it’s safe shopping. Every item in the store is legit, real and genuine. You will NOT find a knockoff hiding anywhere. Which you may be facing when you buy goods on say…eBay. In fact, one can often find the original tags on items. That is just one of the reasons I adore Marshalls and TJ Maxx.

*Marshalls/TJ Maxx is the largest off-price retailer. That means a bigger buying power.

*Buyers only look for goods that can be sold at a bare minimum of 60% off.

* Less than 5% of T.J. Maxx’s inventory is imperfect. If it is imperfect or last season it will be on clearance. Also the company guarantees 85% of stocked products are current season. BONUS: Anything that isn’t sold goes to charity!

*Marshalls tends to be aimed at the general consumer while TJ Maxx targets the younger crowd.

*It’s not outlet lines. If something is designed for an outlet it will say so on the tag and I have never found an outlet item in my many shopping experiences.

Because I love a challenge, I gave myself a $100 budget to create an entire look of popular designer name brand look. I needed a new fall look and found plenty of options. Immediately I walked in and found the Steve Madden Caryssa pump I had been eyeing at Nordstrom. It was $90 at the department store. It would have eaten my entire outfit budget if I paid retail. Thanks to Marshalls, I could scoop up the exact same black pump for $49.99. Then a black bootie called to me. Low and behold, an Enzo Angiolini Kaleb bootie that has been sold out everywhere was perched on a stand for just $60.

I further ventured into their huge selection of shoes to envy the line of boots before I stumbled into the kids section where I spotted a pair of adorable blue Stewart Weitzman sandals in my niece’s size for $8 on clearance! I moved to the dress section and found a warm but sexy black Calvin Klein zip collar dress. It was simple, classic and flexible as to where I could wear it. It was a mere $35 of my budget. It left me plenty of cash to accessorize it. I am a bit of hat girl and love to play with bold colors so I wanted something that caught your eye but not make the look gaudy.

A little blue cap caught my eye as the offerings of fall were all around the entire store. It was a Jessica Simpson designed cap, but the $10 price tag along with the fact that I actually found cute sold me. Then, when shopping in the forest of handbag options, a cobalt blue Steve Madden bag practically waved at me and said “Hellllllooo darling!” The original tags were still attached and retailed for $98. Again, that was my entire budget. Thanks to Marshalls, I nabbed it for $39!

Other treasures also tempted me. A red Ellen Tracy bag was boldly luring me. It too still had the original tags on it. It boasted a retail price of $120. Marshalls was selling it for $29.99. Then a black DKNY bag caught my eye. Once again, the original tags demanded $175 while Marshalls only asked for $80. Next I found a Kenneth Cole wallet for just $14.99 with original tags pricing it at $60. Next I opted for some sunglasses. I warred with two pair…a $15 Miu Miu aviator-esque won the battle against some Michael Kors shades that were also under $20.

The stores offering don’t stop there. They carry everything from coffee to cookware. Electronics, furniture, beauty products (they were well stocked on Philosophy products yesterday!), hair styling products, linens, towels, toys and even seasonal items which have swimsuits and beachwear to back to school items and now Halloween costumes and décor are all available off price.

So what did I walk away with for $100? A Calvin Klein dress, a Steve Madden bag, a blue cap by Jessica Simpson and a pair of Miu Miu sunglasses. All are the exact same quality, items and current season as what you’d find at department stores, but had I taken my budget to those department stores I would have only been able to walk away with the cobalt blue bag. It was like getting the dress, sunglasses and cap for free!

Tim Gunn Calls Taylor Momsen a Sad Brat

Yes mommy! Tim Gunn is the fierceness and doesn’t sugar coat anything except his morning grapefruit. He has been big pimpin’ his new book Tim Gunn: Gurl You Betta Recognize! (aka ‘Gunn’s Golden Rules’) and everyone wants a piece of Fashion Jesus.

E! talked to him about his guest appearance on “Gossip Girl” and of course he was painfully truthful about that annoying ball of LOOK AT ME!, Taylor Momsen.

“What a diva! She was pathetic, she couldn’t remember her lines, and she didn’t even have that many. I thought to myself ‘why are we all being held hostage by this brat? I’d say, ‘You know young lady, there are hundreds of thousands of girls who are just as attractive and even smarter than you. Why are you acting like this show is a huge burden on you?’ She was on her phone during every break, I wanted to tell her, ‘If you weren’t on your BlackBerry, you can retain this stuff.’ ”

“I learned from teaching to stick with the topic, I don’t get involved in character appraisals,” Gunn explained. “I’d just ask her ‘do you want to share with me why you’re always on your phone?’ At one point the director leaned in and whispered to me, ‘this is day in, day out, my life.’ She annoyed the entire crew.”

Gunn still managed to have a good time on the Gossip Girls set and sang the praises of Penn Badgley. Tim dubbed him a “delight” and said the rest of the cast was fantastic as well.

Will.i.am Blackface Racial Backlash – PHOTOS

Some people didn’t like this very much…

Will.i.am went black Sharpie crazy and painted his face black at the 2010 MTV VMAs. Twitter went into a small frenzy over the Black Eyed Peas member appearance. The word “racist‘ was tossed around and Us Weekly jumped on the “controversy.”

Will rolled his eyes and took to Twitter to defend his ebony appearance…

“1st. just because I where all black including head mask as expression and emphasize my outfit, it shouldn’t be looked at as racial…
Let go of the past. there are far more important things 2 bark about. (Jobs, health, education) not a black man wearing all black everything
Are you guys serious? my outfit set “black people back 100 yrs” choose your twits wisely. no education sets people back, no jobs, bad health”

Meh, I don’t see any “racial” problems. At first I thought Taylor Momsen had taken her eyeliner encrusted eyes to the next level.

Lady Gaga Meat Dress Explained – PHOTOS, VIDEO

Lady Gaga showed up to the 2010 MTV VMAs in her staple avant-garde on steroids style.

[Lady Gaga Announces New Album Title/2010 Video of the Year Acceptance Speech - VIDEO]

She wore a rather demure (for her anyway) dress on the white carpet entry to the awards. As for the show itself, she wore a dress made of meat. Lady Gaga won the award for Video of the Year and walked on stage in her protein laden dress and even asked presenter Cher to “hold her meat purse.”

Later on Ellen she explained her choice in a meat dress…

“It’s certainly no disrespect to anyone that’s vegan or vegetarian. As you known I’m the most judgment-free human being on the Earth. It has many interpretations, but for me this evening it’s [saying] if we don’t stand up for what we believe in, if we don’t fight for our rights, pretty soon we’re going to have as much rights as the meat on our bones.”

Jessica Simpson is ‘Project Runway’ Finale Judge

What? Jessica Simpson has her own shoe line, cranked out some denim and looks like she is shopping at Dress Barn, but she has been given the honor of being Project Runway’s finale judge.

I had to double check that the headline read Project Runway and not Project Corn Dog Taster. I adore how ditzy Jess is in dumber-than-a-box-of-hair-but-still-rich way, but…was everyone else busy? Simpson even showed up wearing an unfortunate dress from Charo’s pregnant mother of the bride line that didn’t do her figure any favors. (Click HERE to see Jessica Simpson’s latest baby bump rumors and pics.)

All Jessica Simpson barbs aside, she is not a “big girl” nor is she “fat.” I just think she really needs to fire her stylist. I am glad to see the end of this season of Project Runway. I don’t know how much more of Gretchen and Ivy I can take!
