Newly single Kate Winslet may be getting back into the swing of things after breaking it off with her model-boyfriend Louis Dowler.
Star Magazine is reporting that she and notorious ladies man/douchebag John Mayer, recently hooked up following a recent Manhattan party.
According to the rag, Mayer, who was reportedly trying to bed the likes of both Sandra Bullock and Miley Cyrus, worked his magic on Winset all evening until she finally succombed…or passed out from too much wine.
However, a source close to Winset told Gossip Cop a different story:
Apparently, Winslet’s “hookup” with Mayer is so secret, not even the actress knows about it.
A source close to Winslet confirms to Gossip Cop that the Star story is “false,” noting that Winslet and Mayer “have never met.”
I guess Mayer went home to dream about Winset’s “beautiful vagina,” a trait he told Rolling Stone Magazine he requires in order to bed a beauty.

Just five months ago Kate announced that she and her husband, Sam Mendes, were splitting. She is clearly out of the grieving stage as she debuts her new boyfriend.
Kate Winslet has been rumored to be dating model Louis Dowler. He is just over 6 feet tall and has been in campaigns for Burberry, Paul Smith and Paco Rabanne. Winslet and Dowler went on a jog/bike ride together in New York as she pulled her son Joe. They are said to have met through mutual friends and have been “inseparable” the past few months.
Because I am totally shallow I will just say…upgrade.

This is why I like Kate Winslet. She has been separated from her husband for months (unbeknownst to the prying media) and the day it is publicly announced (click HERE for that story)…she is on a boat drinking tea in a bikini. How very European. The smoking is icky-poo, but it is canceled out by the fancy tea cups.
Winslet is off in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico on vacation while everyone else is trying to figure out the cause of her marriage break up. Good for her. This is how classy dames roll.

Kate Winslet and Husband Divorce

Kate Winslet and Sam Mendes have parted ways. According their attorney team they legally separated at the beginning of 2010.
Via BBC:
“Kate and Sam are saddened to announce that they separated earlier this year. The split is entirely amicable and is by mutual agreement. Both parties are fully committed to the future joint parenting of their children. They ask that the media respect the privacy of the family.”
This is Winslet second marriage. “The Reader” Oscar winner was first married to director Jim Threapleton and had her daughter Mia, 9. She then married Sam in 2003 and had a son named Joe who is now 6.
The couple have yet to sign divorce papers, but the official end is near. I am sure most of you tweens are scratching your head and wondering who Winslet played in Twilight. But before there was Eddy and Bella, Jonas Brothers making their way through Disney channel’s evening lineup…there was Jack and Rose.

Kate Winslet ‘Furious” Over Vanity Fair Airbrush Claims

Kate Winslet appear nude on the cover of Vanity Fair. She was covered in a long white coat, which I would love to have, and only wearing a bracelets and platform pumps. Kate looks stunning and is proud of her body.
However, claims that she was airbrushed into her svelte figure have surfaced. After hearing the rumors that she was digitally made over she became furious. The actress is who is notorious proponent for positive self awareness and image. After her breakthrough in “Titanic” she was called chubby and fat. She emerged from the scathing comments with her head held high. Now, she is under fire once again for her body.
“Kate is furious at suggestions that her body has been airbrushed,” her rep tells PEOPLE exclusively. “She is in terrific shape and what you see is how she looks or she would never have agreed to pose for those shots. The only retouching was the usual work on skin tone that happens in every glamour shoot.”
The ordeal started when GQ ran airbrushed photos of the actress in 2003. Not wanting to convey a negative and hypocritical message, she publicly announced the airbrushing.
“I just didn’t want people to think I was a hypocrite and that I’d suddenly lost 30 lbs. or whatever. So I just came out and said, ‘Look, I don’t look like that’. I’m not mad at the magazine, but I have no intention of looking like that.”
Good for her. I could ramble on about the issues with conveying an uber-thin physique, but I rather you and I GO VOTE! Then follow with a martini after the polls close and a chat about how fabou Kate is.
