Mariah Carey Gave Birth to Twins

Bust out the unicorns and glitter! Mariah Carey delivered her first son and first daughter on Saturday April 30th, 2011. It just happens to be the same day as Mariah and husband Nick Cannon’s wedding anniversary.

Mimi and Nick’s daughter was born first and weighed 5 lbs. 3 oz and is 18 inches long. Their son followed and weighed 5 lbs. 6 oz and is 19 inches long. A rep confirmed the birth of the Carey/Cannon twins to People and also stated that Mariah’s song ‘We Belong Together’ was playing as the babies were born. (Not joking.)

‘The X Factor‘ is coming to Fox this Fall and it’s getting tons of press because Simon Cowell is the man behind this show. Plus it has a huge prize for the winner, a $5 million record contract. Can you imagine winning that prize? ‘America Idol‘ who? There has been tons of speculation on who will be joining Simon as a Judge on the new show. Mariah Carey, Jessica Simpson, and Rihanna have all been rumored to be judges, but today we finally know who really made the cut.

Mariah Carey Reveals Twins’ Nursery – PHOTOS

I had always imagined Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon’s twins to float around on clouds carried by butterflies, but it appears the twins will have a normal nursery like every other famous Hollywood baby.

After posing nude for Life and Style (check out the pics HERE but I warned you!), Carey is now letting the mag be the first to photograph the nursery.

Why? That is all I can muster when it comes to women doing nude pics while pregnant. I get the whole, pregnancy is beautiful thing, but why the nakedness? I once attended a friend’s baby shower and she had a 3 foot framed photo of herself naked and in her third trimester above the fireplace. What do you say to that? “Ok, wow. You’re naked on top of the fireplace. I guess that brings an entire new meaning to fire-crotch.”

Regardless of my narrow minded views on framed nudity at brunches, Mariah Carey is naked on Life and Style magazine’s cover. I am not surprised at this one as she is proud of her narcissism and reminds you how great the Mimi is at every given opportunity. The other factor of this pic is that it looks more like an breast cancer PSA pic demonstrating how to check yourself for lumps. Plus…this is Mariah! Where are the sparkles, unicorns, rainbows and Hello Kitty blowing kisses?

“I was feeling very vulnerable about taking pictures at all right now, but then I didn’t want to miss this opportunity to document this once-in-a-lifetime experience. My ultimate goal was to share this incredibly personal moment with my true fans.

The babies were kicking almost the entire time; it was unbelievable. Especially the girl — clearly she’s a diva in training! We didn’t start shooting until 1:30 a.m. because I was in the hospital from the night before until the day of the shoot with contractions five minutes apart!

Now I have so much respect for mothers everywhere, especially those who’ve had difficult pregnancies or given birth to multiples. We need to have Mother’s Day once a week!”

Kicking babies and contractions gave her new respect? She does realize where these twins are going to come out, right? Someone please ensure that she is aware these kids aren’t going to arrive on winged kittens.

Mariah Carey’s Festive Baby Bump – PIC

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are expecting twins any time now, and lately she’s been pretty much confined to her couch. Chances are, she’s getting bored. I mean there are only so many episodes of the Real Housewives you can watch. A few days ago Mariah celebrated her birthday, but it was hardly a celebration. She spent many hours in the hospital because she was having contractions. But no need to worry because doctors got the situation under control and the twins are fine – It’s going to take a little more than a few contractions to rattle this diva!

Clearly Mariah is super excited about the arrival of her babies. She’s normally one to never look bad in a pic and very particular how she’s photographed. Well somethings changed in her because she’s sharing a baby bump picture for all to see. And this isn’t just some bump picture… it’s festive! Mariah tweeted this picture yesterday:

The photo revealed her round belly embellished with a hand-painted butterfly – and in true Mariah fashion, she added some gold sparkly elements to the wings – with the phrase “dem babies” above it. (Note the strategic Band-Aid use.) Woah Baby! It looks as if Mariah is about to pop at any moment! We all can’t wait to see the beautiful babies or dem babies as Mariah calls them in just a few weeks!

Mariah Carey Twins’ Gender Confirmed!

It was a little over a month ago that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon announced they’d be having twins very soon. Now they have actually found out the sex of the babies. Will they be pretty in pink? Or maybe bangin’ in blue? Life & Style magazine had confirmed through a friend of the couple that they will be having a boy and a girl.

“It’s all about pink and blue these days,” a friend of the couple tells Life & Style. “It’s truly going to be a dream come true for them. They get a son and daughter.”

And no one is more thrilled than the mama-to-be!

“Even before we announced it was twins, I was trying to keep everything genderneutral because I didn’t want to impose an identity on them too soon,” Mariah tells Life & Style with a laugh. “There were fan contests on Twitter about what gender they are and rumors about them being two boys or two girls — but nobody guessed this!”

Cannon confirmed in an earlier interview that the couple was expecting the babies late April/early May. A boy AND a girl – How lucky for them!

Mariah Carey’s $400,000 Christmas Present From Nick Cannon – Photo

Daddy-to-be Nick Cannon dropped $400,000 on wife Mariah Carey’s special Christmas present – a brand new Rolls Royce Phantom with a personalized license plate! Seriously?! The diva shared her excitement about her new ride in a tweet to fans, which also included a photo of the luxury vehicle.

Apparently she is used to driving fancy cars, because for her 40th birthday Cannon presented her with a pink Porsche. Can you imagine receiving a Rolls Royce Phantom or a Porsche as a gift? The closest most of us come to that is receiving matchbox cars in our Christmas stockings as kids! Carey and Cannon are said to be expecting twins in the near future, so it sounds like those babies will definitely be riding around in sheer style.

Mariah Carey Confirms TWINS!

Mimi’s piece publicly confirmed it. Mariah Carey is having twins. Looks like we need another name for the sparklebeat’s offspring. Princess Razzmatazz StepOuttaMahSpotlightAndAwayFromMahSnacks Von Glitterhausen is going to have a brother or sister.

Nick Cannon has been enjoying his time off the leash to finally be the one in the spotlight and telling anyone with a microphone or a clip board that Mariah is pregnant with twins. He basically told E! news that Mariah once referred to her baby bump as “they” instead of “he” or “she.”

“It’s a touchy issue, because you never want to speak on too much stuff too early, but my wife, at one time, she referred to her stomach as ‘they’ and that probably wasn’t the wrong thing for her to do,” he said. “That’s all I’m gonna say.”

He then confirmed to 92.3 NOW…

“In order for my wife and I to have our life and live our life I feel like we need to be up front and share things with you and be real and come from the heart. I haven’t even told my wife I was doing this, so I am probably going to get yelled at for not getting permission.

BUT, I have just have a very interesting story. On Friday you will see my wife perform in front of the President and the first family for Christmas in Washington. She started off, her performance she opened the show with a song that she wrote called ‘One Child,’ which is kinda ironic. The song is called ‘One Child’ and it’s a festive holiday song. She even speaks of how she was inspired by writing the song and being pregnant and it being about a child. As we know Christmas is about the birth of Jesus, one child that changed the world.

So after she sings this song she goes back stage and she has you know she has the opportunity to speak with the President and the First Family. She wanted to talk to, they actually, ironically enough questioned my wife, ‘So what are you having? Are you having twins?” At this point she hasn’t told anybody anything. Because doctors advised we keep it to ourselves until we get further along and stuff. Because of the excitement and the emotion she got overwhelmed and she shared with the President and the First Lady that we are having twins.”

Carrie Underwood Denies Pregnancy Rumors

Carrie Underwood is still busy riding the ‘newlywed high wave’ with husband Mike Fisher and doesn’t have plans “any time soon” to expand her family. This “baby bandwagon” stuff just isn’t for her! But that hasn’t stopped the rumors that have shadowed over her since her wedding this past June.

Per Ok!:

“As soon as you get married that happens,” Carrie told Detroit radio station WYCD of everyone asking her whether she’s pregnant.

“We did the CMT Artists of the Year special, and they had all these celebrity chefs come in from the Food Network … The food was great, but after the chefs were done they all sat back and had a few. Afterward I got to meet them, and a guy was bombed. He said, ‘So did you just have a baby?’ I said, ‘You do not ever ask a woman if she just had a baby,’ ” she recalled. “‘Do I look like I just had a baby?’ … He got in trouble, and I took his drink away.”

But it had to be asked, is she pregnant right now? “Oh gosh, no!” Carrie exclaimed.

Underwood then said that she and Fisher do plan to have children in the future – just not right now. I personally just don’t see that happening – at all. The world only has room for one diva-mama, and Mariah Carey has that covered!

Mariah Carey Expecting Twins?

Last month we broke the news that Mariah Carey was pregnant and now we have discovered that the pop diva may be getting more than she expected! Mariah was out promoting her new Christmas CD recently and naturally the subject of her pregnancy came up and when it did, she let this slip out…

Per Hollyscoop:

“I just hope that they don’t turn out hating Christmas,” she said during a radio interview with Radio Disney’s Ernie D.

Twins? Could it be? When asked by Extra if she’s having twins, the mom-to-be remained tight-lipped.

“I’m not telling anyone,” she said. But she did admit that she’s blowing up. Literally. “My fingers obviously swelled a little bit. I can’t even get this ring off if I tried,” she joked.

Saying “they” sounds quite telling though. Who refers to their baby as multiple people? Don’t forget as well, she’s already admitted that she used fertility drugs to have the child with Nick Cannon which also leads to multiples a lot. I’m sure we’ll all find out soon enough!
