Josh Hutcherson Confirms Jena Malone Cast as Johanna in ‘Catching Fire’

Oops. It appears that Josh Hutcherson may have accidentally confirmed that Jena Malone has been cast in ‘Catching Fire.’

After winning his surf board at the Teen Choice Awards, Josh was giving an interview with Extra. He was asked about the casting for the next installment of ‘The Hunger Games’ and may have accidentally let it slip who nabbed the role of Johanna…

“I’m super excited! I think Jena Malone is fantastic. Philip Seymour Hoffman is one of my favorite actors ever!”

Jena has been one of the frontrunners for the role of Johanna Mason and was rumored to have been offered the role.

The trailer doesn’t really tease my inner nerd or make a giddy geek clapping with glee. It’s a whole bunch of ‘Deadliest Catch’ then Henry hitchhiking before we get a shot of a butterfly before Greased Spandex takes flight.

Sam Clafin is Finnick Odair in ‘Catching Fire’

The good people over at Gossip Cop have gotten word that Sam Clafin is has finally struck a deal to play Finnick Odair in ‘Catching Fire.’ The ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ supporting star has signed on to portray one of the new and vital characters in ‘The Hunger Games’ saga.

What the hell is wrong with people? At least 12 people were killed at the midnight screening of ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ in Colorado.

The initial toll earlier this morning was 12 people dead and 38 injured. The count rises and now hovers in the range of 50 moviegoers injured in the melee. Various reports on exactly what happened are mixed. The general consensus is that around 12:30 AM on Friday morning a man in a gas mask, a riot helmet, goggles and bullet-proof vest stood in front of a crowd gathered at a theater in Aurora Colorado. He set off a tear gas and then opened fire. As people ran for the door, he gunned them down.

Sam Claflin Offered Finnick Role in ‘Catching Fire’

Lionsgate announced that Amanda Plummer has been cast as Wiress and the rest of the casting for ‘Catching Fire‘ is finally taking shape. Rumors as to who will be playing the uber-handsome Finnick Odair have been brewing for months. Several names have been attached to the role, but the studio was in limbo between using an established actor or a fresh face. Sources now suggest that Lionsgate has finally made a decision.

According to Variety, Sam Clafin has been offered the role of Finnick. The thespian has two supporting roles in blockbuster films. You might recognize him as William from ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ and Philip in ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.’

Lionsgate has announced one of the cast members for ‘Catching Fire.’ Amanda Plummer will be playing the role of Wiress.

‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Reviews and Premiere Photos

I know you sat at your laptop with your eyes glued to the screen watching Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway and Joseph Gordon Levitt grace the red carpet premiere of ‘The Dark Knight Rises.’

Early reviews are in and they all praise Christopher Nolan’s work once again, but note that the final installment of his Batman saga doesn’t have the same punch as ‘The Dark Knight.’

(I will insert an obligatory possible spoiler warning. If you want to go in completely blind I’d skip some of the reviews.)
