Lil Wayne is getting an unspecified sum to give Grand Central Publishing the diaries he kept while jailed in New York City’s Rikers Island from March to November 2010. The book promises to be a riveting first-hand account of the people he met, his family, and his future.
Lauren Alaina is kicking off 2012 with a video for her latest single, “Georgia Peaches.” The clip – directed by David McClister (The Band Perry, Lady Antebellum) – stars some of Alaina’s best friends, and was filmed at the Sylvan Park Melrose restaurant in Nashville.
In case you missed it, the 2012 People’s Choice Awards – hosted by ‘Big Bang Theory’s’ Kaley Cuoco – aired last night, live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. I can’t even believe the Grammy Awards are coming up in a month! I’m beyond excited to see the fashion, performances, and of course who will win big. I always have a little gathering at my house with friends and we critique and of course snack on some yummy food. It’s like the Super Bowl for women!
Adele had a huge 2011 so it’s no surprise that she’s been nominated for 6 Grammys! Adele will be at the big show and she even has something up her sleeve… Adele hasn’t been talking much since her throat surgery in November. Because of her vocal chord surgery she was forced to cancel all of her public appearances and her North American Tour. Well now we may get to see Adele hit the stage again. Grammy producers are hoping Adele will perform at the February 12th show.
Greyson Chance has released the official music video for his latest single, “Hold On ‘Til the Night,” the title track from his debut album. The black and white video made its television debut on The Ellen Degeneres Show, where Greyson appeared as a special surprise guest to talk about the music video and its special message: encouraging kids to be themselves and speak their minds.
New video from singer/dancer Erika Jayne “Party People (Ignite The World)” premiered on Examiner.com. Erika Jayne made her arrival known in the music industry in 2007 when her electro-hued track “Rollercoaster” went to #1 on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play Chart. Her follow-up single, “Stars”, also reached #1 on the Hot Dance Airplay Chart.
You know you’ve outgrown your boy band status when you’re willing to give up the gaggles of groupies for marital life. Backstreet Man Boy, A.J. McLean is the most recent ex-heartthrob to make the vows. McLean and his long-time partner Rochelle Deanna Karidis, tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at the Beverly Hills Hotel over the weekend.

Lady Gaga’s latest music video debuted recently, and as Gaga had been teasing in the weeks before its arrival, depicts “one of the worst days of her life.” Mother Monster takes a bizarre trip to the hospital, performs ballet, dyes her hair, writhes naked in a bathtub like a scalded mermaid and dance, dance, dances in her new 14 minute video. The actual song doesn’t start until about the 8 minute mark in the video. Before that, Gaga does voice over for what are supposed to be semi-autobiographical scenes.

Anyway, a long long time ago in a land called the 1990s there was a band that used one woman’s voice, and made it seem like a really hot woman was singing. But that hot woman was not, in fact, singing. Shameful, right? Well, one former Pussycat Doll is claiming the same thing is happening right now in 2011!
