Hollywood Dame Exclusive Interview – Brantley Gilbert

Brantley Gilbert knows that tomorrow is no guarantee. Just over five years ago the talented singer/songwriter was ignoring his deepest ambition of becoming a country singer and was just going through the motions of everyday life. It wasn’t until a nearly-fatal car accident that Brantley opened his eyes, realized the importance of living each day to the fullest, and decided to pursue his love for music as a career.

Brantley was born and raised in the small town of Jefferson, Georgia, just outside of Athens city limits. It is that upbringing and small town influence Brantley credits toward allowing him to cultivate his unique sound. With well-known rock bands REM and the B-52’s having roots nearby, Brantley’s taste in music always swayed toward a rock feel, but his true-to-life testimony of heartache, trials, triumph, and success found a home in country music.

After taking the stage night-after-night with just his guitar and opening for other country artists throughout the southeast, Brantley began to notice familiar faces in the crowds. A group of believers who shared Brantley’s passion for life and music had developed, and pretty soon the following had taken-on a life of its own. Brantley quickly realized that his acoustic shows—however intimate—didn’t satisfy his audience’s thirst for his rock-infused country music. In order to meet their demand, Brantley formed a band.

“We went from these acoustic shows to a bona fide country-rock-soul show that is wide-ass open,” says Gilbert. “Even when we play a ballad it’s high energy.”

With the fans demanding new music from Brantley, he came to Nashville, Tennessee where he soon signed with Warner Chappell Publishing and began to develop music for a debut album release. One of his songs, “The Best of Me,” was recorded by Jason Aldean and earned a spot on his latest album, WIDE OPEN. Since, Brantley has signed a record deal with Average Joe’s Entertainment and collaborated with top-charting act and labelmate Colt Ford to write and record, “Dirt Road Anthem,” which is currently featured on Ford’s multiple-week Top 25 Billboard album, RIDE THROUGH THE COUNTRY.

“I’ve realized that life can be very short, and everyone should take advantage of it,” he said. “If you’re gonna live, do something with it. Make it great.”

And great it is. Brantley will celebrate a national album release in 2009 with A MODERN DAY PRODIGAL SON which features hit singles, “G.R.I.T.S.” and “Whenever We’re Alone.”

As tour dates multiply throughout the South, Brantley’s fan base continues to expand, and like most artists these days, fans can stay updated about tour dates and news via MySpace. His page garners more than 25,000 listeners daily— a number that has brought him to the #1 spot on MySpace Music Charts for both country and southern rock.

I had the chance to talk with Brantley about things like his goals, accomplishments he’d like to make, and what some of his favorite things to do are. You can read about that below.

When did you first realize you had an interest in music and what sparked that interest?

I don’t even know. I was extremely young and we had a chest of draws in the middle of my bedroom and my mom walked in as I was putting on a concert on top of them, so I guess sometime around then.

How did you break into the music industry?

I started off playing in middle school and when I was around 14 or 15 I met Corey Smith and he asked me if I wanted to get up and play some, and we did so for about 3 years and I built up a fanbase. After we went our separate ways business wise, it just sort of went from there.

How would you describe the sound of your music and what makes you feel as though you are different from other artists in your genre?

I’m not sure. Its kind of a new southern rock. More rock but good country. I like to write songs that just stand by themselves.

What are some of your short term and long term goals you have lined out for yourself?

Well, short term is I’m going to try and get in the shower (laughs.) I just finished working out so I need to do that. Long term would be to ride this thing until the wheels fall off, even if I have to play while using a walker. Just take what the good Lord gave me.

What are some of your musical pet peeves?

Cheesy songs. That would definitely be one of them. (laughs.) But then I’m sure there are people out there who think some of my songs are cheesy.

Besides music, what are some of your favorite things to do?

I love riding motorcycles. I have a 99 soft seat custom built Harley Davidson. She’s my girlfriend.

What do you miss most, besides family and friends, when you are out on the road touring and traveling?

My dog, Allie. She’s a pitbull. Love her to death.

What is one accomplishments you hope to make above all others in your life and career?

To touch as many lives as I can and to help people in tough situations with my music.

What drives you the most to do what you love? What inspires you?

Every little thing that happens every day inspires me. As for what drives me, I think the guys in my band who rely on me to get paid since they have families to take care of, that’s what drives me.

If you had the chance to tour or record with any singer of band, who would you choose?

Elvis. Or my buddy Colt Ford. I’d love to go out with him again.

New Music Friday – Trampled By Turtles

With four self-released albums to their credit and a word-of-mouth reputation that draws legions of diehard fans to their must-see-to-believe live shows, northern roots music hybrid Trampled by Turtles recently released “Palomino,” their first album through Thirty Tigers/RED, on April 13th, 2010. With a sound that’s a bracing hybrid of classic American songwriting, bluegrass and folk, this is forceful acoustic music from the land of ice and snow – of dark winters, isolation and numbing cold – delivered at breakneck pace with the fervor of religion.

Trampled by Turtles is Dave Simonett (guitar), Tim Saxhaug (bass), Dave Carroll (banjo), Erik Berry (mandolin), and Ryan Young (fiddle). They call Duluth, MN home, but have spent the last five years taking this music across the country, playing in venues ranging from raging basement parties to places like The Great American Music Hall in San Francisco and New York’s Bowery Ballroom. Finding their appeal extended beyond the traditional “bluegrass crowd”, they’ve opened for and toured with the likes of Low, Cracker, Camper Van Beethoven, and Pedro the Lion. They have also found a loyal following at festivals such as 10,000 Lakes, Wakarusa, Rothbury, and Pickathon. With most of the material recorded live in the studio, the album takes on the quality of a live show, with minimal and tasteful production.

The five members of what would become Trampled by Turtles formed in 2003 in Duluth, the Great Lakes port town that had spawned slowcore pioneers Low a decade earlier. Down in the “The Cities” (Minneapolis and St. Paul to the rest of the world), such fabled Minnesota brethren as Dylan through to the Jayhawks had raised the bar pretty damn high, songcraft-wise. Within this contained music scene, the future members of TxT did their time in punk and rock and roll bands, brandishing their electricity proudly, before going “organic” with acoustic instruments. While they never set out to be a “bluegrass” band, the band employs the same time-honored tools of the trade – guitar, acoustic bass, banjo, mandolin and fiddle – as their ‘grass-fed country cousins. But their soul-deep differences in influences, attitude and attack, from their quicksilver, deadly accurate picking to their lonesome, hauntingly spare ballads, make for a very different musical beast indeed.

Crisply produced by TxT lead singer, guitarist and primary songwriter Simonett, Palomino leads off with a pair of plaintive, up-tempo ballads. “Wait So Long” offers gorgeous, high lonesome harmonies by bassist Saxhaug and banjoist Carroll. Check out the video above.

Hollywood Dame Exclusive Interview – Runner Runner

Five distinct personalities joining forces to make one mighty sound — that’s “Runner Runner.” The SoCal band’s self-titled debut album — released through a new partnership with Capitol Records, C.E. Music (a new label formed by David Letterman’s Worldwide Pants Inc.) and Jack Ponti’s MRV label — combines skillful songwriting and musicianship, punk-infused intensity and humungous pop hooks. The entrance that Runner Runner – front man Ryan Ogren, guitarists Nick Bailey and Peter Munters, bassist Jon Berry and drummer James Ulrich – is making on an unsuspecting music scene is in keeping with its name that has its origins in Ogren and Berry’s love of poker: “runner runner” is a poker term that, loosely defined, means “coming out of nowhere and pulling off a winning hand at the last possible moment.”

Veterans to the music industry, bassist Berry was a founding member of the SoCal pop-punk band, Rufio, Ogren was the vocalist/guitarist for New Jersey’s Don’t Look Down, and Munters, Bailey & Ulrich were members of OC’s Over It. They all came together in 2008 to create what is now Runner Runner. The five members are a combination of skillful songwriting and musicianship, punk-infused intensity and songs with humongous hooks with tremendous potential. Having admired each other’s talents and enjoyed each other’s company on numerous occasions as their bands crisscrossed the country on various van tours, the five musicians snapped together like Lego pieces when serendipity presented them with the opportunity to form a band together.

Runner Runner has over eight-million plays on their MySpace, were named a 2009 Band to Watch by Alternative Press, and has performed more than 175 shows on bills with such prominent left-offcenter acts as Fall Out Boy, All Time Low, Gym Class Heroes, Angels & Airwaves, The Higher, The Audition and The White Tie Affair. Theyre also veterans of the festival circuit, appearing in 2009 on the Vans Warped Tour, Bamboozle and Tokyos Punkspring Festival, as well as the Night of Lights Festival and the L.A. Ink Fest during the previous year. The band is currently recording their self-titled debut album in Los Angeles with producer Dave Darling (Stray Cats, Brian Setzer, Soulive), and plan to tour extensively after their album drops later this summer. Their first single, “So Obvious,” will be released to radio on June 15. (Check out “So Obvious” here ) Runner Runner kicked off the first leg of an extensive tour beginning in mid-May, and are currently on tour with Amber Pacific before joining up with Cartel.

I had the chance to speak with Jon about the bands goals, influences, and hobbies. You can read that below.

When did you first realize you had an interest in music and what sparked that interest?

Well for me, my family tells me about that first interest. It was on a family vacation in San Diego when I was 7, watching the bands play on the campground. They say I was intent on watching them. I’ve always been into music. I can remember listening to Michael Jackson, singing to his songs on the radio. I guess in high school is when it really picked up for me, when I started playing music. Its always been a huge passion of mine.

How did you break into the music industry?

Well, we all come from different bands. We used to tour together in Japan and through the states. A few years ago I moved in with Ryan and we started writing and doing songs together.

How would you describe the sound of your music, and what makes you feel like your music is different from other artists in your genre?

I think when you hear it, you’ll know its Runner Runner. The way it sounds it stands out more because our songs are personal. They are lyrically engaging and instrumentally, too. We just like to have fun with our music, but at the same time we draw from personal experiences.

What are some of your plans for promoting your music?

We are all huge internet nerds, so getting our music out that way is one. Another is touring and playing plenty of shows.

Musically speaking,w hat are some of your short term and long term goals?

Short term, to play David Letterman. Long term, just always making and writing music, and promoting it. I also want to have a house in Hawaii. It’d be awesome to make a record there – Go surfing in the morning and writing music in the evening.

Who are some of your musical influences?

Lady Gaga and Tom Petty.

Who are some artist you’d like to work with?

Everybody. It’d be cool to work with some songwriters. Working with Ryan Tedder would be sick. And Coldplay would be sick, too.

How did you come up with the name “Runner Runner?”

‘Runner Runner’ was the surviving name on a dry erase board in the house. We wanted a big name, and we came up with some fun names, like ‘The Boys Team.’ But ‘Runner Runner’ just always stood out.

Where do you get your song inspirations from, lyrically speaking?

The only place you can get them from, through life and personal experiences. We draw from everything around us.

Besides music, what are some of your hobbies and interests?

Nick and I love surfing. We’ve surfed in Japan, Hawaii, California, the East Coast. Just love the beach life, the atmosphere. Other than that, I’d have to say watching movies and coming up with our own comedy skits.

Tell Ryan, Peter, Nick, Jon & James what you think about their music and to find out more about them, head to their MySpace, Facebook, or Twitter pages.

New Music Friday – Paper Tongues

Paper Tongues are an American rock band from Charlotte, North Carolina. The band consists of Aswan North, Devin Forbes, Joey Signa, Daniel Santell, Jordan Hardee, Clayton Simon, and Cody Blackler. Their sound is described as fusing rock n’ roll melodies with hip hop beats, and includes elements of rock, funk, rap, and soul. They formed in 2007 and after playing together for a while, they decided they wanted to go to California to try and get a recording contract. This inspired their hit song “Ride To California“, which portrays the struggle involved to raise the money and find a way out there. They were able to save up enough money through donations from neighbors and a generous donation from a college friend in Georgia who told them not to worry about paying them back, but rather to just go and make good music. While eating lunch at a restaurant in Los Angeles, lead singer Aswan North met Randy Jackson. He went over to talk to him about his band, and even gave him the band’s MySpace site and phone number, and then left. Within hours of leaving the restaurant, the band received a call from Jackson expressing interest in their music. They have since supported other bands such as Everclear, Flyleaf, and Switchfoot, as well as headlining a tour of their own with Crash Kings and playing various other shows with Muse, AFI, 30 Seconds to Mars, Rise Against, and Anberlin. Their debut album was released this past March.

We’ve featured Paper Tongues on Hollywood Dame once before (Check that out here) – And now they’re back with a brand new single, “Trinity,” which you can watch above.

Hollywood Dame Exclusive Interview – Paper Tongues

Paper Tongues plays for the people. Fusing massive rock n’ roll melodies with fiery hip hop beats, the Charlotte band conjures an infectious, incendiary sound on their A&M/Octone debut, due out this summer. Embracing elements of rock, funk, rap and soul, these seven individuals have created something you haven’t before. It’s music for dancing, crying, loving and living. Paper Tongues Aswan North, Devin Forbes, Cody Blackler, Joey Signa, Clayton Simon, Jordan Hardee and Danny Santell are a collective of artists, and this record is their first masterpiece.

Paper Tongues’ eclectic sound ranges from bombastic songs like “For the People” that can light up a packed arena or a dance floor, while the soulful electronica-infused “Trinity” is inspiring and invigorating. Guitarist Devin Forbes comments, “Our music is extremely eclectic because we’re all coming from different places. Aswan grew up with hip hop, Clayton grew up with electronica and I grew up with rock, but it all comes together fluidly in Paper Tongues.”

Paper Tongues was officially born in 2007 on the streets of Charlotte, North Carolina. Lead singer Aswan North, helped found the Inprov Music Experience, a weekly event where musicians played for the homeless at a main intersection in the middle of the city. The current band lineup congregated at uptown Charlotte weekly, slowly developing a bond. Aswan started cultivating his song writing and presence during those shows. He brought those street sounds and ideas to producers in Los Angeles. It didn’t take long for Aswan’s collaborators to feel the power and magnitude behind the ideas of his music. This caught Cody and Devin’s attention. They had been formally playing as Paper Tongues. With Cody, Devin, Jordan and Clayton’s help, Aswan quickly set out to find other members for this entity. As the songs sprung to life, Paper Tongues was reborn with the same vision to impact rock n’ roll with a new sound.

I recently had the opportunity to chat with Aswan, who took a few moments out of his busy schedule to talk about their music, interests, and inspirations. You can check the interview out below.

How would you describe the sound of your music?

Club Rock – the best name we could think of. You can dance to our music without losing that rock edge. People can actually dance and get down to what we play.

How long have you been playing together, and how long did it take for you to break into the music industry?

We started playing in Charlotte as buddies and musicians over five years ago. As a band, 2.5 years. We came together in LA in a studio playing and recording music and went at it for over two months before committing because its what we all dreamed about. We posted our music on Myspace and within 30 days we were getting friend requests and messages and the momentum started to pick up.

You’re from the Charlotte NC area – which is known more so for the banking industry rather than music. Did that make it harder for you to break into the music industry? How does your fan base from Charlotte differ from everywhere else?

It actually made it easier. I’m originally from the Jacksonville NC area and moved up to Charlotte in 1999, the last year of the 1900′s and it was a good thing then. I gained lots of education and knowledge from meeting different people. Charlotte is a big part in getting our music quality to level. Our fan base are like brothers and sisters. They don’t feel like strangers to us. We love the city and playing live in the city. Its a community feel in the family sense, they don’t feel like just fans.

I noticed on your tour date calender that you guys have been traveling all over the US recently. What are some of your favorite cities that you’ve visited and why?

Boston, no doubt. Tuscon is the number one favorite city. Boston because when we played in Cambridge for the Harvard students it was just amazing. An incredible feeling. Tuscon because we’ve never gotten a response like we have in Tuscon. People were actually singing the words to our songs, and we don’t even know how they knew them because some of the songs we haven’t even released yet.

What is the hardest part of traveling and what do you miss the most from back home?

I’m a homebody. I love Charlotte. I’ve been to London, France, Peru, but I love Charlotte. I miss waking up in the morning and heading down to East Blvd. to get some coffee. I miss playing playstation with my buddies and smoking a cigar acting like we’re grownups. When I have a hard night on stage and get nervous I sometimes wish I could go back and smoke a cigar with my buddies. I miss being home but I love being on the road. Hardest part of being on the road is going on stage. That first inital step is hard and I battle anxiety like crazy. But once that first step is taken I get into a mindset and have a great time.

Who are some of your idols and most influential musical influences?

Steve Perry and Al Green by far. They put so much effort and thought vocally into their music. You can tell on their albums and dvds they focus on their voice in their preparation moments. And that is something I really appreciate. I am a lover of their voice. And Bono of U2. Its hard not to love what he does for humity and South Africa. I have a lot of love for him as a vocalist, too. If you listen to his earlier stuff, like say from the 90s, and you listen to him now you can tell he still has the power behind his voice. Aretha Franklin, too. She is amazing and so very soulful.

New Music Friday – Debi Nova

With six Grammy Award nominations and a number one dance single under her belt, singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Debi Nova is ready to make her mark on the rest of the world. In March 2010, Decca Records will release Nova’s genre-defying, debut album “Luna Nueva.” The album is an electrifying combination of irresistible Latin rhythms and potent pop smarts that showcase this vivacious artist’s considerable musical gifts (she plays piano, guitar, bass and more) as well as her rich Latina heritage.

Per MySpace:

“I started taking piano lessons at four and by the time I was twelve I knew I wanted to pursue a career in music” stated Debi.

Produced by multi-Grammy nominated Marius de Vries (Madonna, Josh Groban) and Gustavo Santaolalla (“Brokeback Mountain,” “Babel“), Luna Nueva is a labor of love, long in the making, which not only showcases Nova’s electrifying vocals and musicianship, but her songwriting talents as well. The first single is the playful soca/hip-hop inspired “Drummer Boy.”

Already a massive star in her native Costa Rica, Debi has toured with both Ricky Martin and Sergio Mendes as a featured vocalist and has performed for more than 8 million people globally. As a songwriter, the Costa Rican beauty has written hit songs for Belinda and RBD, two of Latin Americas biggest artists. Since the beginning of the year Debi’s been in the studio aiming to create a sound that blends all the influences and musical experiences she’s had. Combining her passion for Bossa Nova, Hip Hop and lots in between, a sound that Debi affectionately terms “Tropical Soul.” You can learn more about Debi’s process of recording an album in both English and Spanish in her new EPK above, and click here to check out her first single “Drummer Boy.”

Upcoming Artist Matt Dragstrem

Chicago Tour from Matt Dragstrem on Vimeo.

Matt Dragstrem, an up-and-coming songwriter, is rapidly gaining recognition with his melodic songs paired with simplistic, yet compelling lyrics. He has just released a behind the scenes video from his most recent tour throughout the Chicago and Nashville areas, showcasing his love of music. When asked to describe how he feels his music sounds, Matt thinks its if Tom Petty and Rod Stewart had a child and Frank Sinatra was the Godfather.’ Being deemed as an audience favorite and hailed as the new talent in town to write with by respected Nashville songwriters, Matt currently is in the process of recording for his upcoming full-length album, after receiving great reviews on the release of his EP “Heritage.”

Per Myspace:

“With an impending debut EP set for release in the coming weeks, Matt Dragstrem stands at the forefront of something potentially very special. Inspired by folk-rock greats of the past, Dragstrem seems to have inherited the best elements of his heroes work before moulding them into a sound of purity and innocence all his own. Born in Chicago, Dragstrem underwent a musical education whilst developing his talent in Nashville some years later. His subtle, dulcet vocal style favours the playful, finger-picking way he approaches his guitar work – similarities with a young, raw Rod Stewart aren’t too far wide of the mark. At only twenty-one years of age, Matt Dragstrem possesses a future of immeasurable promise.” -JOEL CRANE (NME, Q, Mojo)

The video above proves that Matt is so much more than a pretty face and an unstoppable personality, but a genre-defying voice whose unique quality finds a comfortable spot in any style of music. Keep an eye on this one, kiddos. He’s sure to become a household name in no time.

New Music Friday – Adele

Adele Laurie Blue Adkins, known professionally as just Adele, is an English singer who describes her musical style as “heartbroken soul.” She began singing at the age of 4 when she became obsessed with voices, an obsession that she says is still ongoing. Some of her influences includes Etta James and Ella Fitzgerald, who she says she stumbled upon on accident while a teenager looking through cds in a local record store.

Adele wrote her first record, “Hometown Glory” when she was only 16 years old. During her teenage years she recorded a demo and gave it to her friend who eventually put it on MySpace where it became very successful. Adele then got a record deal through MySpace, but at first didn’t believe it was real because the only record company she knew was Virgin Records. In 2007, Adele was awarded with the first ever Brit Awards Critics’ Choice Award. She then later signed to independent music label XL Recordings, which in January 2008 released her second single “Chasing Pavements.” The singer has said that the song was written after a night on the town with her ex-boyfriend, who she realized wasn’t worth pursuing anymore.

At the Grammy nomination concert last December, the Jonas Brothers told MTV News that they were big fans of her music. Adele, who performed at the Grammys with country act Sugarland, was up for four awards and won the Best Female Pop Vocal Performance award in addition to being named the Best New Artist. Her album was certified as Gold in February 2009 by the Recording Industry Association of America selling over 230,000 copies in the United States during the first quarter of 2009, ranking it fourth among international artists. Her first single, “Hometown Glory” has been re-released as her fourth, and latest, single. It has been widely featured on United Kingdom and United States television shows including “Grey’s Anatomy,” “So You Think You Can Dance,” and “One Tree Hill.” Adele wrote the song in 10 minutes after her mother tried to persuade her to leave her home town of West Norwood in London for college. You can watch the video for the song above.

Twilight Saga: New Moon Soundtrack and New Movie Stills – Photos

new-moon-movie-stills-pic-11

All good things come to those who wait? Naaaahhhhh. The “New Moon” soundtrack was set to be released next Tuesday, but now it’s become one of the rare albums to have its release date pushed up. Summit Entertainment issued a release saying “due to overwhelming and unprecedented demand,” the soundtrack will come out this Friday!

Adding to the great news, Myspace announced earlier this week that starting yesterday the site will premiere songs from the album on its official New Moon profile, allowing fans to listen to all 15 tracks in their entirety legally. Led by Death Cab for Cutie’s with the official song for the movie titled “Meet Me on the Equinox“, the soundtrack album is made up solely of “original and exclusive” songs. Muse, who contributed to the first movies soundtrack, is making a return with another track titled “I Belong to You (New Moon)“. The line-up also include Thom Yorke, The Killers, and OK Go. Regardless of your level of affection for vampires who sparkle, the album has been getting pretty decent reviews and may be worth paying attention to even if you’re not swept into the whole “Twilight” hysteria. “New Moon” will open on November 20th, giving us fan enough time to reread the book with the soundtrack blaring in the background. Twi-hards, you now have 35 days from today to get this done!

In other related news, the official soundtrack for the first movie in the franchise, “Twilight.” is nominated in the category for favorite soundtrack at this years AMA’s, alongside the soundtracks for “Hannah Montana: The Movie” and “Hannah Montana 3.” If you’ve been living under a rock for the past year, some of the Twilight soundtrack artist include Paramore

with the movies official song “Decode“, Robert Pattinson, and Muse - just to name a few. The awards show will take place on ABC on November 22nd, just two days after The “Twilight Saga: New Moon” movie is released, and voting is still ongoing.

This is one franchise that has no signs of slowing down. “Overwhelming and unprecedented demand” is every movie exec’s dream. So be prepared for a few more years of Robert Pattinson and sparkling vampires. You have been warned.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart ‘New Moon’ Set Photos And Casting Update

A mere two days after I leave the city of Vancouver, all the “New Moon” stuff goes down. First, according to her own Myspace page, singer/actress Tinsel Korey has landed the role of Emily in the “Twilight” sequel. Take this for what it is worth. You can see photos and brief bios of the fellow ‘New Moon’ cast by clicking here. According to my personal Myspace page I am 22 and in caught in a love triangle with Robert Pattinson and David Beckham.

Speaking of Sparklepants, though I didn’t have the pleasure of seeing him on the streets of Vancouver (wipes away a tear), Lainey Gossip is once again on top of things and has posted new pictures from the set of “New Moon.” The pics show our favorite English export acting out a scene with co-star Kristen Stewart. The pics also give us our first glimpses of Bella’s high school friends: Mike, Angela, and everyone’s favorite frenemy Jessica (played by Mike Welch, Christian Serratos, and Anna Kendrick respectively).

According to Lainey Gossip:

“About this scene – supposedly in the parking lot of the school and there’s an intimate moment between Bella and Edward. Or something.”

As for my trip to Vancouver, I didn’t go home empty handed. Though I did not get my chance to allow Sparklepants to fall in love with me, I did have the pleasure of running into Edi Gathegi and Jackson Rathbone in the lobby of their hotel (what I was doing there will remain off the record). After exchanging smiles with both gentlemen, I freaked internally and watched them get on the elevator. I was pretty pathetic. And since I know you are curious: Edi is quite handsome and taller than expected, Jackson was nearly unrecognizable with his dark hair, but overall is very, very pretty. That’s the best word to describe him.
