Angelina Jolie’s ‘Style of Jolie’ Jewelry Line – Sneak Peak!

Who knew Angelina Jolie had a thing for fine jewelry? Jolie has collaborated on a oh-so fah-bulous jewelry collection called ‘Style of Jolie‘ with former Asprey CEO Robert Procop, and it’s currently on display at Juliens Gallery and Auction House in Beverly Hills until it gets sold for charity. Many of the designs are modeled after things that the Jolie-Pitts already own, including an emerald ring that Jolie made with Procop a few years back as a gift for Brad – and we have the video for a sneak peek of the collection!

Per E! Online:

“What we’re showing here is a collection that Angelina and I have been working on for the last nine months,” Asprey says in the clip.

“Building not only a part of her style but real artistic forms using gemstones as the centerpiece,” he adds. “But our main mission is helping children in crisis by educating children around the world.”

Now you can finally finish that look off of “husband stealer” before a night on the town! Nine months in the making, Style of Jolie features cushion, emerald, and pear cuts of stones like beryl, set in classic styles, such as riviere necklaces and drop earrings. However, one of the pieces in the display is a vintage diamond choker worn by Jolie in the movie ‘The Tourist.’ Among other pieces in the collection: A green beryl tablet earrings she wore at the film’s New York premiere, a faceted black necklace she sported at the German premiere of ‘Salt,’ a 27-carat Gem Colombian emerald ring she wore while directing her first movie in Bosnia, and Jolie’s favorite piece – a necklace assembled from the finest collection of emeralds. A portion of sale proceeds of the jewels will benefit the ‘Education Partnership for Children of Conflict,’ the charity of Jolie’s choice.

However, you can’t just pop by and gawk at the jewelery before it gets snapped up, since the gallery is invitation-only. And even if you do happen to have a few hundred thousand dollars that you’ve been saving just for a moment like this one, well… chances are you’re still out of luck, because the auction is invite-only too. So enjoy this video of Angelina’s creations, because it’s probably the most you’ll ever see of them.

Oscars Nomination Snubs 2011

The 2011 Academy Award nominees were announced early this morning. 10 films are up for Best Picture, including my pick for the win ‘Inception,’ however Christopher Nolan was notably snub from the Best Director nominees list. He also failed to make the directing list last year after the phenomenal success of ‘The Dark Knight.’

‘The Fighter’ is up for Best Picture. Christian Bale and Amy Adams each received nominations in for the film, but Mark Wahlberg was snubbed for his performance.

Golden Globe contenders ‘The Tourist’ and ‘Burlesque’ were also totally absent from every category. Both films failed to land a single nomination. Looks like Ricky Gervais was right.

Despite his heavy campaign efforts, Justin Timberlake was snubbed along with his co-star, Andrew Garfield. Ryan Gosling was generating huge Oscar buzz for his performance in ‘Blue Valentine,’ but didn’t make the list. Mila Kunis was another actress that we all assumed would make the cut. Unfortunately she too was snubbed. Barbara Hershey was another actress that should be on the list for her supporting performance in “The Black Swan.”

Ricky Gervais Golden Globe Awards 2011 – VIDEO

Ricky Gervais hosted the 2011 Golden Globes Awards and opened with a monologue that left most of Hollywood’s elite angry. Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie were his first targets. He poked fun at the box office bomb that managed to garner several nominations, ‘The Tourist.’ Next he wondered aloud why ‘Sex and the City 2’ was snubbed as the airbrush team for the posters alone deserved a nod as he added, “Girls, we know how old you are. I saw one of you on an episode of ‘Bonanza’!”

What created the most tension in the audience was a punch line that hit a Hollywood vet who did not attend the event. Gervais brought up ‘I Love You Philip Morris.’ The punch line stabbed at Tom Cruise/John Travolta…

“Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor, two heterosexual actors pretending to be gay. So the complete opposite of some Scientologists, then.”

Later Ricky attacked Robert Downey Jr. before introducing him as a presenter after listing his film accomplishments and adding, “But many of you in this room probably know him best from such facilities as the Betty Ford Clinic and Los Angeles County Jail.” Obviously it was in poor taste, and Downey snapped back with, “Aside from the fact that it’s been hugely mean-spirited with mildly sinister undertones, I’d say the vibe of the show has been pretty good so far, wouldn’t you?”

I still love Ricky and the thing about his style is that he doesn’t answer to the pampered celebs who demand decorum and worshipping at all times. He pushed the boundaries of respectability by attacking the easy targets with hard and sometimes low blows, but that is what you get when tap him for hosting duties. You can’t give him a room full of A-list celebs and a microphone with the expectation that he will bite his tongue. It’s like giving me a bottle of vodka while playing ‘Pour Some Sugar on Me’ and not expecting my top to come off.

Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp’s Awkward Red Carpet PHOTOS

Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp look like they are a couple of 8th graders getting photos taken at a Christmas dance. The co-stars walked the red carpet at the photocall for “The Tourist” at the Adlon hotel in Berlin together. Depp kept his hands folded in front of his crotch while Jolie looked as frigid as ever. A photo is worth a thousand words but this just says AWKWARD.

Whatever the case behind the photo that looks like Johnny is directing her to the aisle containing laxatives; their film and roles have nabbed them several Golden Globe nominations. (Click HERE for the full 2011 Golden Globe Nominees list…)

Angelina Jolie Film ‘The Tourist’ BOMBED

Brangeloonies hath failed at handing over their hard earned cash to the box office gods. ‘The Tourist’ came in second this weekend and is getting horrible reviews.

‘The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader’ brought in nearly $25 million while Angelina Jolie’s new film barely chugged in above ‘Tangled’ with $17 million. As far as reviews goes… currently the average rating from top critics is 4/10 and 96 of the 120 reviews are negative. Rotten Tomato users liked it better than the critics with readers (Maddox and the child army) giving it a 78% approval.

Rolling Stone: “In a year of craptaculars, The Tourist deserves burial at the bottom of the 2010 dung heap.”

New York Times – “When she [Angelina Jolie] first appears in a come-hither outfit and a small private smile, she looks ready for liftoff. She never ignites, and neither does the movie.”

Wall Street Journal – “This woefully botched mystery-adventure-thriller-caper-romance-comedy, or whatever it was meant to be, is no fun at all.”

New York Post – “Von Donnersmarck, who brilliantly depicted government surveillance in East Berlin before the fall of the wall in his earlier German film, astonishingly can’t even find a way to make Interpol’s spying interesting here.”

Entertainment Weekly – “You go into a movie like The Tourist hoping for a feast of personality from the stars. What you get, in this case, is a waxworks version of chemistry.”

Sticking Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp on screen together seems like a sure-fire way to make your mark on the box office numbers. Jolie stars in slick European comedy crime capper ‘The Tourist‘ with Depp, due in theaters December 10th.

Per Monsters and Critics:

‘The Tourist’ revolves around Frank (Johnny Depp), an American tourist visiting Italy to mend a broken heart. While on his trip he meets Elise (Angelina Jolie), an mysterious woman who deliberately crosses his path. Frank follows Elise in the quest of love, but finds himself caught up in a whole lot of trouble.

So, sad man + extraordinary woman = intrigue, danger, etc etc. Let’s hope Jolie and Depp spark like roman candles.

Angelina Jolie Seducing Johnny Depp, Bodyguards Step In

Yes! I love these kind of tales. Star magazine has whipped up a story about Angelina Jolie trying to seduce Johnny Depp. In the same issue that claims Sandra Bullock was pregnant with Jesse James’ baby, the mag also insists that Jolie is pulling out every seduction trick in the book.

“Angie is “humiliated” because Johnny Depp refuses to be seduced by her. The caption here reads: “Sexy Angie is making Johnny so uncomfortable, insiders say, that he’s told his entourage not to leave him alone with her. ‘He and his bodyguards have developed signals,’ reveals a source. ‘When Angelina gets too close, Johnny gives the look and someone runs interference.’”

Here are her methods of seduction on the set of The Tourist: She stands too close, invades his personal space, and once even brushed crumbs off of his beard. Once, the script called for them to kiss — just a little peck on the lips — but Angelina used tongue. An insider says: “It totally freaked Johnny out, and he drew away, but Angie just gave him a naughty smile.”

This one I believe. Why? No proof or real tangible evidence, but we all know the powers of Angelina Jolie’s Voodoo Vagina. After indulging in S&M sex with Voldemort (click HERE for that fun) and robbing Jennifer Aniston of her bong licking partner (click HERE for a funny tale on that), nothing would surprise me.

Johnny Depp’s Angelina Jolie Restraining Order

Johnny Depp’s longtime girlfriend Vanessa Paradis has reportedly asked Depp to cut himself out of his latest film because she doesn’t want to be another Angelina Jolie love casualty. As soon as Paradis found out Depp would have a major love scene with Jolie in “The Tourist” she started campaigning to get him the hell out of there.

Per NYPost:

“He’s currently trying to [get out of the movie], but I don’t know if he’s succeeded. But he’s trying and they’re talking about replacing him with [Jolie's partner] Brad Pitt or Leonardo DiCaprio.”

So far it hasn’t worked as we’ve already seen pictures of the co-stars filming, but the NY Post says there is some behind the scenes manipulating going on and that it is possible Johnny could be replaced Pitt DiCaprio. Given Jolie’s track record, I would worry too! Jolie has a history of stealing other people’s men, credited with breaking up Pitt’s marriage to Jennifer Aniston and stealing Billy Bob Thorton away from Laura Dern during their engagement.

Filming started last month, and Depp and Jolie were spied sharing a laugh Tuesday on set at the Palazzo Pisani Moretta in Venice. In the movie, Jolie plays an Interpol agent who seduces a tourist, played by Depp, in order to flush out a criminal she slept with in the past. Oh Johnny boy, lets hope you’re not stupid.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Stage Venice Family Photo Op

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie seem to be taking their show of unity on a world tour! When they didn’t appear together in public for a month, reports surfaced that they were on the verge of a split. In an attempt to squash those reports, Brangelina are staging family photos “like a military operation”, sources say. In fact, the happy family photo ops in Venice were all staged, reports The New York Post.

A spy said, “They are usually very shy about being photo graphed, but now they’re making a point of being seen in public as a happy family unit. They’re making a statement. They want the world to know the reports are wrong and they are strong.”

The couple arrived in Venice with their children Tuesday, where Jolie is filming “The Tourist” with Johnny Depp. Since then they have been photographed out daily as one big happy family. Angelina had planned to travel alone for filming, but Brad insisted on tagging along. While a picture maybe worth a thousand words, I’m not too sure the words Brangelina are trying to convey are coming across that way. Despite the pictures, whispers are suggesting that the split between the couple is only a matter of time.
