Harold Camping and the May 21st Rapture

Obviously we aren’t all catching up on the news thanks to the awesome wifi in the heavens. Harold Camping predicted the end of the world using numbers he “calculated” from the Bible. He managed to convince a following that on May 21st, 2011 that the end of the world would take place. People reportedly quit their jobs and lived it up the past week and waved good-bye to their life savings to live up their remaining time pre-rapture by watching a Frasier marathon and attending box socials or whatever the faithful do these days.
Alas, the end of the world starting with a “big earthquake that will make the one in Japan seem like a Sunday school picnic” failed to get the memo and the most action we have seen is a volcano erupting in Iceland. The Grimsvotn volcano, which is Iceland’s most active volcano, erupted and didn’t even interrupt air traffic.
Camping previously claimed the world would end in September of *1994. After that prediction proved BS he claimed he simply miscalculated. May 21, 2011 was supposed to be the correct calculated rapture date. Most Bible wielding religious folk gave him a Christianly gurl please and pointed to Matthew 24:36 which states that, “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.”

The adorable and talented Greyson Chance is joining forces with Cody Simpson on a tour! The duo will begin their city to city adventure on April 9, 2011.
The title of the tour is a mash-up of Chance’s single “Waiting Outside the Lines” and Simpson’s album “4 U” to create “Waiting 4 U.”
Greyson and Cody have been hitting the Hollywood scene together and giving hints of joining forces. They were recently seen at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood for the premiere of ‘Mars Needs Moms.’ Their red carpet venture followed a performance in February at the Grove in West Hollywood.
The 13 year old Youtube sensation has skyrocketed into the hearts of America much like another popular teenage sensation…Justin Bieber. Chance is being compared to the ‘Baby’ singer which might be an honor, but I hate to compare. Greyson is still grounded and humble with a personality that is genuine and not manufactured. He doesn’t need a perfectly flat ironed hairdo and a programmed persona. This kid is real and has a natural talent that is enviable.

‘X-Men: First Class’ Movie Stills – PICS

‘X-Men: First Class’ hits theaters on June 3, 2011. The entire cast has fresh faces for the prequel to the comic book fueled series. James McAvoy will be Charles Xavier while Michael Fassbender will be Erik Lehnsherr who is better known as Magneto. Filling in for Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen is a tall order, but James explains that the film’s intention is to give the back story.

“This isn’t a reboot, so I’m not replacing anyone, in which case you might want to try to be as different as possible and stay away from what had been done before. This is a prequel, so I’m the same character, just younger, but the challenge for me – and for Michael — is to show the same person in a different place in their life; to show someone before they’re this bad guy, before they’re this saint. Charles wasn’t always a … monk, this selfless, sexless monk that he becomes.”
I love McAvoy but I am lukewarm about this installment. January Jones will be a new character, Emma Frost, and be joined by Kevin Bacon as Sebastian Shaw. The plot details haven’t been divulged but the basic premise will be the rift that creates a good versus bad divide between Xavier and Magneto. Thoughts?

January 3, 2011. Mark your calendar with a pink highlighter. The first single from Britney Spears’ new album will hit during the first week of the New Year. Rumor has it that the single will be called ‘Don’t Hold it Against Me.’ The complete 7th album is due in March according to Britney’s Tweets on December 2nd.
“Teaming up with Dr Luke, Max Martin, Bloodshy & Avant and William Orbit – the album is said to have a dubstep feel to it. There is no official word on the first singles title however some sites are already reporting it as being titled ‘Don’t Hold It Against Me‘.”
Until then…enjoy Britney Spears hitting up Walmart.

Prince William and Kate Middleton Wedding Date Is…

Dust off your ascot and say-something hat with gigantic flower on it. Prince William and Kate Middleton have announced their wedding date. All you bridezillas getting married on Friday, April 29, 2011 better reschedule because you will be competing with Will and Kate.

“Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton will be married on Friday 29th April 2011”
The couple’s engagement announcement also first made it’s debut on Twitter. ClarenceHouse tweeted:
“The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince William to Miss Catherine Middleton”
William and Kate will have the ceremony at Westminster Abbey. It is the church where Princess Diana’s funeral was held, Queen Elizabeth II was married, British kings and queens are crowned and where 17 monarchs are buried.

New Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows PHOTOS

Ah yes, my inner geek is taking a break from playing Dungeons and Dragons to look at these new Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows movie stills. This might look familiar if you grabbed last week’s Entertainment Weekly. Part 1 of HP7 will hit theaters on November 19th and the final film will release on July 15th, 2011.

Transformers 3 – SET PHOTOS

I might be able to stomach one of these films now that Megan Fox has taken her “serious actressing” elsewhere.
Shia LaBeouf is joined by his new love interest Rosie Huntington-Whiteley as they film Transformers 3. The second film in the series sucked according to hardcore fans and critics. Blame was pointed at the writer’s strike and a convoluted movie was cranked out.
Now, director Michael Bay is attempting to redeem his alien robot films. I am guessing doing a pore strip and removing Fox was just the beginning. Rumor is that many characters won’t be coming back. Skids and Mudflap will not return and the boring resurrections will no longer happen. The plot will center around the Transformers involvement in the US and Soviet Union space race with emphasis on history and mystery.
As for the villain? According to rumor, the ‘bad guy’ will be Shockwave. Oooo….yeah, I haven’t got a clue either. Apparently this Shockwave motherfella is a Decepticon whose power is equal to Megatron’s. From what I understand, which isn’t much, Shockwave is a cyclopotic robot who disguises himself as a cannon.
You can catch Transformers 3 on July 1, 2011. As for any future Transformer movies…Bay simply said this:
“As a trilogy, it really ends. It could be rebooted again, but I think it has a really killer ending.”
