Alec Baldwin Kicked Off Plane for Being “Abusive”

Alec Baldwin was kicked off a flight at the LAX and it isn’t the fault of too much sweet nectar. A flight attendant on a power trip went phone Nazi on the ‘30 Rock’ star after he reportedly refused to quit playing “Words with Friends.”

Matt Damon for President, Alec Baldwin New York Mayor

Matt Damon is obviously one actor who’s not afraid of a good political debate, but could he run for president? Director Michael Moore has publicly called on Damon to run for U.S. president next year after praising him for taking a “courageous” stand against key political issues. Damon joined a teachers’ protest in Washington, D.C. last month to rally against standardized testing, and he recently voiced his disgust at the way politicians were stalling on a deal to raise the U.S. national debt ceiling. Moore hasn’t actually spoken to Damon about his idea, but has proposed him as an option for a third party candidate.

Emmy Nominations 2011 – Chris Colfer, Game of Thrones, Modern Family

The 2011 Emmy nominations were announced this morning. I was sleeping off a hangover resting after rescuing a kitten a pack of wolves, but Hollywood rolls on.

Glee, Modern Family, Mad Men dominated the list and the great Peter Dinklage was present! Big Bang Theory, The Office and Saturday Night Live were also peppered throughout the nominations. Property Brothers (mah new obsession largely for impure reasons) was snubbed along with RuPaul’s Drag Race. Life is unfair.

Alec Baldwin: ’30 Rock’ is Over!

“Never go with a hippie to a second location.”

I broke the news a while back that Alec Baldwin announced his plans to leave ’30 Rock’ in 2012, despite all those threats I made to NBC.

Now, according to Vulture, Baldwin’s plans don’t seem so amiss.

While attending a fund raising gala in New York this week, Baldwin announced that ’30 Rock’ will end it’s run altogether in 2012!!! No Jack! No Liz! No TGS!!!! NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

“I will tell you one thing, and that is our show next year is our last year of the show. Our contracts are expired [in 2012], and Tina is gonna have a big career directing films and writing. She’s going to be the next Elaine May. She’ll be great.”

While I have no doubt that Tina Fey, show creator, star, and head writer, will have no problems making me laugh for a long time to come, I can’t stand the thought of having to downgrade my comedy game to show’s with a laugh track (that’s right, I am STILL talking to you ‘How I Met Your Mother’ fans!!). Reps for Tina Fey and the show have yet to comment on Baldwin’s announcement.

Tom Cruise to Star in ‘Rock of Ages’ Musical?

Can Tom Cruise really sing? We may find out soon… According to DigitalSpy, Cruise is close to signing a deal to star as Stacee Jaxx in “Rock of Ages”- a comedy/musical film based on glam rock of the 80′s.

The musical is a comedy based around the glam rock music of the eighties, including the tracks ‘The Final Countdown’ by Europe and ‘Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey.

Other stars reportedly being pursued for the film are Mary J. Blige, Russell Brand… and Alec Baldwin? Yes, that Alec Baldwin. And yes it will be a musical, but with Baldwin and Cruise involved, it may clearly be more comedy than musical… “Hairspray” directer Adam Shankman is to helm the project, so that may give us an idea on how this film project will turn out. “Rock of Ages” is scheduled to be released by the end of this year.

Alec Baldwin Leaving ’30 Rock’-VIDEO

“It’s after six, what am I? A farmer?”

’30 Rock’ is the funniest shizz on television right now. Yes, I said it. And I mean it. And all you ‘How I Met Your Mother’ fans can shut-it.

But unfortunately it seems that 2012 will be a grim year for the HIGH-larious program as NBC executive Jack Donaghy (aka Alec Baldwin) will be leaving the show.

Via Starpulse:

“As much as I like acting, I know that I would love to have a different life, a private life. I think doing this now for a living has become really hard. It’s really hard. I would rather go do other things and have whatever amount of time I have left in my life, have more of a normal life… I want to find out if it’s possible. How close can I get.”

Baldwin has one numerous awards for his portrayal of Doneghy including two Emmys and four Screen Actors Guild Awards.

He announced his intention to leave Thursday after receiving another Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

Though I am freaking out, if anyone can keep that show alive it’s the brilliant Tina Fey. Do your thing lady. I need to laugh.

Alec Baldwin At War With National Enquirer

Alec Baldwin isn’t taking any nasty business from Mike Walker, veteran columnist for the National Enquirer.

alec-baldwin-loves-tina-fey

The day before Baldwin co-hosted the Oscars, Walker released a column stating that Baldwin was screaming at his ’30 Rock’ co-star Tina Fey.

Baldwin quickly lashed back.

Via The New York Post:

“Walker vents in this week’s Enquirer: “Here’s my headline: ‘Alec Baldwin — Raging Closet HOMOPHOBE!’ Grab your pitchforks and torches, Hollywood — the monster lurks among ye!”

Baldwin went on to call Walker a “whore” and a “queen”, all of which Walker denies.

“”Yes, he [Walker] is a goat-footed, wheezy, old queen, and all my male lovers agree with me.” Walker states, “Just for the record: I am not gay, as my wife will attest. Right honey? . . . HONEY?? Hey Alec: Stay tuned.”

Oh snap! Never call a princess a queen!

Alec Baldwin Hospital Scare

alec-baldwin-and-daughter-ireland-pic-1.jpg

Alec Baldwin was rushed to a New York City hospital last night. His daughter, Ireland, became concerned that he had attempted suicide after the two had an argument. While arguing with his 14 year old Ireland, he threatened to “take sleeping pills.” Later she checked on him and he appeared “unresponsive” and she dialed 911 in fear that he had overdosed.

The two have a volcanic past involving arguments. In 2008 a call leaked to the net that was horrifying as Alec called his daughter a “thoughtless little pig.” This time it appeared the fight got out of hand and Baldwin faked an OD. After an ambulance arrived to in answer to Ireland’s 911 call, he agreed to be taken to a hospital.

Via NY Post:

“While the 12:10 a.m. call came in as a “possible alcohol or drug overdose,” sources told The Post that Baldwin never swallowed sleeping pills.

The “30 Rock” actor, who lives on Central Park West, was released from Lenox Hill Hospital shortly after 1 a.m., according to sources.
“This was a misunderstanding on one person’s part. Alec was quickly released from the hospital; he’s completely fine and will be at work today,” said Baldwin’s spokesman Matthew Hiltzik.

Let’s hope he gets some help.

2009 Full Emmy Winners List, Photos and Video

I may or may not have been celebrating the Bears winning last night instead of watching the 2009 Emmys. So being a naughty Dame, I watched it at the crack of dawn just for you.

Neil Patrick Harris hosted the awards and of course opened with a song and dance. He then made me giggle with a jab at America’s “Jackass,” Kanye West. Harris added, “Here’s hoping Kanye West likes 30 Rock!” to his opener and warned every one of gatecrashers.

It was basically a repeat of last year’s Emmy Awards in the perspective that “30 Rock” and “Mad Men” dominated the accolades. Tina Fey’s tv baby won Outstanding Comedy Series for the third year in a row and “Mad Men” reclaimed it’s award for Outstanding Drama Series.

The real story was taking place back stage. PopEater reports that after Kristin Chenoweth accepted her award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy for her role as Olive Snook in “Pushing Daisies,” she reportedly request medical attention. It started with a migraine that she said started to prevent her from opening her eyes. On site paramedics cared for the actress. She rested back stage and then left the awards. Reps have confirmed that she is doing well and was rumored to be considering returning to the ceremony’s after parties.
