Sofia Vergara, Mila Kunis ‘Most Desirable Woman of 2012’

AskMen.com has released the names of the winners of their Most Desirable Women poll. Usually when I hear the words “poll” and “women” my mind automatically goes to strippers. Alas, none of the ladies on the list are currently working the night shift at the Bill’s Boobie Bungalow.

Sofia Vergara should have won first place, but somehow readers where impressed by a ‘Gossip Girl.’ Sure. Why not?

Billy Crystal to Host Oscars

Ah, the Oscars. One hour of sparkly dresses that Joan Rivers will somehow turn into a vagina joke that is followed by nearly 4 hours of nap inducing tv. The Academy Awards has had a tumultuous week as producer Brett Ratner angered the gay community after using the “F” word. This move was Ashton Kutcher level of dumb being that women and fashionably sensitive gay men make up the Oscars target audience.

Brett issued a sorry statement ant then exited stage left on the awards. I am sure it was more like being yanked off stage with a giant hook, but will give Ratner a Yeah, Okay anyway. Eddie Murphy then hit the ESC button on being host in protest.

Catwoman is a Stripper in ‘Dark Knight Rises’ ?!

The plot details for ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ are in the vault of Christopher Nolan. Some tidbits have made their way to the net including pics of Christian Bale and Tom Hardy (as Bane) filming a fight in the streets, Anne Hathaway in her Catwoman gear and photos of Wayne Manor.

We are left to guess whether or not rumors have any validity. Bane was the first Batman nemesis to make an official appearance, but Catwoman remained a big mystery for awhile. Now that we have pics of Anne in her tight leather getup, more details of her character have followed.

Marion Cotillard Joins ‘Batman: The Dark Knight Rises’ Cast

Marion Cotillard has been cast alongside a few of her ‘Inception’ co-stars in the third Batman film. We first learned that Tom Hardy would be portraying Bane, the super intelligent/strong villain. Next Anne Hathaway scored the much sought after Catwoman role. Joseph Gordon Levitt was then revealed to have joined the cast as The Holiday Killer. He was also rumored to be attached to the role of The Riddler, but both notions were wrong.

Joseph Gordon Levitt Cast in ‘The Dark Knight Rises’

The official cast for the third installment of Christopher Nolan’s ‘Batman’ series is finally taking shape. Another name has been added to the list of villains the superhero will take on in the third Batman film, ‘The Dark Knight Rises.’

Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine have been locked down while the rest of the ensemble has seen every rumor from Eddie Murphy being given the role of The Riddler to Angelina Jolie as Catwoman.

As Nolan finalizes the script, casting for ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ has finally gotten serious. Joseph Gordon Levitt has officially joined the lineup after he was rumored to be auditioning and a serious contender. IMBD had him listed as a credited cast several months ago before removing his name from the lineup.

Levitt has returned to the list and is said to have nabbed the role of Alberto Falcone aka The Holiday Killer. Initial rumors attached him to the role of The Riddler, but soon changed direction and rumbled that he would be Robin. I recalled Nolan promising that Robin would not make an appearance in his Batman reboots. So that one was obviously a miss, but according to Variety, Joseph will be portraying mafia boss Carmine Falcone’s outcast son. The character in the comic books targets Gotham City criminals and murders them on holidays.

Anne Hathaway was given the coveted role of Catwoman, but Marion Cotillard’s name is also attached to the project as a rumored new love interest. If Marion does join the film, it would reunite 3 members of Nolan’s other box office hit, ‘Inception.’ Tom Hardy was the first to join Bale, Oldman, Freeman and Caine. The teenage model turned actor was announced to be playing Bane. According to IMBD’s character description, he is one of Batman’s “most deadly and powerful foes” who boasts strength and a high IQ. He is also one of the very few villains who figures out the caped crusader’s real identity. (If you saw the 1997 franchise film…he was Poison Ivy’s henchman.)

With the news of Levitt joining the film, another casting rumor is thrown into the mix. Juno Temple is said to be up for a supporting role as a “street-smart Gotham girl.”

James Franco and Anne Hathaway HATE Each Other

The 2011 Oscars were as boring as ever and despite ABC’s attempt to appeal to a younger generation and repeatedly mention how “hip” the event was…the awards show failed.

Monday morning critics ripped the event and a lot of blame fell upon James Franco’s OVAH THIS attitude and Anne Hathaway’s overcompensating energy. The lack of chemistry was painfully obvious between James and Anne and sources told Us that it was due to the fact that they “hated each other” by the end of the ordeal.

“She had to provide all the energy — he was just phoning it in,” says a second insider. (“James seemed in his own little world,” during the Oscar telecast, says another source. “Producers were pissed.”

Rep’s for James say that the mag’s story is completely untrue, but I actually believe this one. It was like watching Lindsay Lohan attempt rehab…just sad and a big flop. They won’t be returning any time soon as Hugh Jackman and Billy Crystal are both up for the job again.

Aside from the fashion that will be subjected to Joan River’s endless puns, the night belongs who took home the Academy Award. Anne Hathaway and James Franco hosted the evenings events as two of the youngest hosts in the event’s history.

The theme of the night screamed “THE OSCARS ARE NOW HIP AND FUN!!!! YOU ARE HAVING FUN!!!” Too bad it was the typical snoozefest despite Anne’s high on life energy. She was brought down by Franco’s Ovah This Mess/Probably Stoned Right Now demeanor. Even with James briefly dressed as Marilyn Monroe and a skit in which he was in a white skintight leotard couldn’t save things from the sleepy state. Half way through the show most of the celebs were ready to hand over the Best Actor statue to Colin Firth and get to the bar already.
