I really hope Miley Cyrus is getting along with her father these days. It looks like daddy, Billy Ray, is going to be writing a tell-all book. He’s teamed up with Amazon for his book that will be called “Hillbilly Heart.” Ha, I can’t make this stuff up!
Ok, so what’s it going to be about?
While taking a moment to promote her first Australian tour, Miley Cyrus took a stab at Justin Bieber and other artists who launched their music careers by posting clips to YouTube. Among the dissed stars is the latest viral sensation Rebecca Black of ‘Friday’ fame, who Bieber himself has already made fun of. In an interview with The Daily Telegraph about her upcoming tour in June, Miley was asked about the influence YouTube held over the music industry. Her response was less than thought-out.
“It should be harder to be an artist. You shouldn’t just be able to put a song on YouTube and go out on tour,” the daughter of country star Billy Ray Cyrus said.
Really?! Hopefully they’ll set the bar even higher for those that got their start as ‘Hannah Montana’ and Billy Ray Cyrus’ daughter. The fact that Bieber started out with nothing but a YouTube account speaks wonders of his talent level. YouTube stars that are doing their thing without the backing of the Disney Corporation deserve the utmost artistic respect.

She’s right about Black but she forgot to include many others, including herself. If it were any harder to be an artist, Miley would be an unknown herself. Miley went on to discuss how excited she is to tour Australia because, “Australians are a lot like southern people. [They] love BBQ as much as we do.” Um, she does know Australia is not in America, right?!

Courteney Cox and David Arquette have had a rocky past few months. The couple announced they were splitting up last Fall. David didn’t handle the break up well and spewed not so nice things about Court in interviews, spent lots of time partying, and then ended up in rehab. A few weeks ago David was on Oprah, talking about his addiction and his break up with Courteney, and confessed that he’d love to get his family back together. Perhaps David is getting his wish.
It’s good to see David working through his issues and it seems that Courteney is very supportive. This past weekend they were spotted at a flower shop together in Malibu. Was it just a friendly get together as friends or are they working it out? Not sure, but Courteney seemed to leave the option open. Cox told the April issue of Harper’s Bazaar she holds no ill feelings toward her husband of almost 12 years, and seemed to leave he door open for a possible reconciliation.
Per Digital Spy:
In the interview, the Cougar Town star admitted that she would have “huge waves of pain” if their partnership was dissolved entirely. “But right now, I don’t have that, because I don’t know what the future holds, and I guess because I have strong feelings for him,” Cox added.
Miley Cyrus‘ parents decided to give another try last week and Pink and her hubby were on their way to divorce, but reconciled. It could happen! Best of luck to Courteney and David!

The Cyrus family hasn’t had a good couple of months. In a recent interview, Billy Ray spoke out and pretty much blamed Hannah Montana for the families troubles because so much time and energy was focused on Miley’s acting/singing career other parts of the family structure suffered. The part that took the biggest hit, Billy Ray and Tish’s marriage. After Billy Ray did the interview his family lashed out and now he’s taking back what he said. The family and Miley’s biggest issue with Billy’s GQ interview reportedly was that he was sharing family issues with all of the world. A friend close to Miley even refered to Billy Ray as another Michael Lohan. Yikes, no one ever wants to be compared to that guy! So now, Billy’s apologizing for being so public with the issues.
Per People:
“It is very important to me to work on mending my family right now. My family is the most important thing I have, and we are working together to make sure our future is stronger and healthier. It is all a learning process, and we thank everyone for their support and respect of our privacy as we sort through very important family issues.”
At the time of Billy’s GQ interview he had not spoken to Miley since the salvia incident. There’s no word on whether the two have started communicating again.
Hannah Montana paid the bills in the Cyrus household. Once Billy found out that income might be cut off due to his comments, suddenly he recants. I guarantee you either the Disney sharks got a hold of him or Miley threatened to cut him out of parental support and bad hairdressing allowances.

Miley Cyrus is reportedly pretty peeved at her dear ol’ dad after his recent interview with ‘GQ’ magazine in which Billy Ray opens up about how he’s “scared” for his daughter’s well-being, his feelings on how ‘Hannah Montana‘ tore apart his family, and even went as far as to compare her to Anna Nicole Smith and Michael Jackson!
Per PopEater:
“To say Miley is angry is an understatement,” a friend of the Disney star tells me. “She’s furious that her own flesh and blood would make a private matter so public. Who does he think he is, Michael Lohan?”
Reports are circling that Miley and her father have not spoken since December, and has labeled her dad’s comments as “unforgivable.”
“This isn’t what a father does,” my source says. “He never said a bad world about ‘Hannah Montana’ all those years it made millions for the family, and now that Miley has turned 18 and is making her own decisions, he does this. Unforgivable.
Miley allegedly has no plans to get in touch with her father and feels that if he wants to talk to her, he can take the first step and reach out.
I sort of have to agree. To ‘out’ your entire family just to receive some sort of attention is kinda sad. But then again maybe Miley should remember that without her Dad’s fame she would more than likely never have been in a position to be considered for Hanna Montana. It was his millions that got Miley her start!

Things in the Cyrus household are a mess. Miley Cyrus‘ parents Billy Ray and Tish are in the process of getting a divorce. Even though Miley’s 18 years old, she’s still taking their split pretty hard. When Billy and Tish announced they were splitting up there were rumors of infidelity. Also there was speculation of a huge fight where Billy became violent over Tish allowing Miley to do whatever she wanted. Maybe now we can understand more of why Miley’s been acting out the past few months – Apparently her father hasn’t spoken to her since November. Now Billy is speaking out and blaming Hannah Montana for all of the family drama. Billy revealed in an interview that he believes “Hannah Montana” ruined his relationship with his daughter, and that the show has ruined his family.
In this month’s issue of GQ, Billy Ray Cyrus lashes out at the show that made his daughter Miley famous and shockingly compares her to Michael Jackson, Kurt Cobain and yes, Anna Nicole Smith.
“You could see that train wreck coming.”
Wow – I’m not sure I would put Smith and Miley in the same category, but maybe he knows more about what goes on behind the scenes. In the interview Billy Ray talks about Miley’s many slip-ups (salvia bong smoking, underage drinking, dirty lap dancing, etc…) and how he feels completely helpless to prevent them. He says that the problem is that he tried to be Miley’s friend not her parent and now when he wants to be her parent, she won’t listen. He believes that Miley’s handlers made it impossible to parent Miley and that they allowed her to do anything she wanted. He claims they also were the ones behind her racy 2009 Teen Choice Awards performance.
“I’m scared for her. She’s got a lot of people around her that’s putting her in a great deal of danger,” he said. “I know she’s 18, but I still feel like as her daddy I’d like to try to help. Take care of her just a little bit, to at least get her out of danger. I want to get her sheltered from the storm. Stop the insanity just for a minute. When you go through what she’s been through, it takes a beating on you.”
Billy also claims “there’s no doubt” his family is under attack by Satan. When asked about “Hannah Montana,” Billy said “I’ll tell you right now, the damn show destroyed my family,” wishing the show had never happened.
“I’d take it back in a second. For my family to be here and just be everybody okay, safe and sound and happy and normal.”
The way to begin that is to shut his mouth and be Miley’s father. Not speaking to her and airing the families dirty laundry is not going to help, but only make the situation much worse. Sounds more serious than any of us imagined!

People are still talking about the Miley Cyrus bong video… including her father Billy Ray Cyrus… who now, after watching the video, has tweeted his response. In the video Miley inhaled a hallucinogenic, but currently legal, herb called salvia.

The news broke recently that Miley Cyrus‘ parents Billy Ray and Tish were calling it quits and getting a divorce. Infidelity was the alleged reason and then more details broke saying that Tish cheated on Billy Ray with Bret Michaels. Bret has since come out and denied that he ever had an affair with Tish. So what caused these two to head to divorce court? The National Enquirer is reporting that a fight between Billy Ray and Tish over daughter Miley escalated into violence. Yikes!!! I can imagine being the parents of a young pop star takes its toll, but there’s no excuse for violence. According to so-called sources, Billy Ray attempted to ground Miley for talking back to him, and when Tish undermined her husband and let her go out, he lost control and flipped out.
“Billy screamed terrible things at Tish,” divulged an insider. “Then he started kicking in the door.” The confrontation erupted after Billy Ray tried to ground his superstar daughter Miley for talking back to him, and Tish intervened, the insider continued.
After learning that Tish had undermined him and given Miley permission to go out, Billy Ray went berserk with anger. “Tish locked herself in her bedroom to escape Billy Ray’s wrath. And he pounded on the door screaming: ‘Come out here and talk to me, b****! You let everyone run wild when I’m not here! It’s going to STOP!’”
So could this really be true? I mean Miley does run her own life it seems. She allegedly lives on her own and was living with her ex-boyfriend Liam Hemsworth for a while. So why all of a sudden is Billy Ray trying to control? The National Enquirer has hit the nail on the head quite a bit recently, but violence is one heck of an accusation. For now we’ll chalk this up to another rumor unless we hear more.

Rumors have been flying since the Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus divorce that an affair with Bret Michaels is what caused the split. Bret was on ‘Fox & Friends’ to tell his side of the story.
Per MTV:
“The answer is no,” the singer said when he appeared on “Fox & Friends.” “I’ve been friends with her family forever. It started out with me and Miley simply working on a song together. Her mom, Tish, likes ‘Every Rose Has Its Thorn,’ the first concert Miley ever saw was Poison, and so they wanted to remake it for the new record. … When I was in the studio, Miley came in and sang on my song … and that was it.”
The Cyrus’s have 5 kids together and announced their split late last month. They are citing the typical irreconcilable differences. Both Tish and Bret have now very much denied any affair or relationship. Well that’s no fun!

Following in the footsteps of Christina Aguilera and Courteny Cox, Billy Ray Cyrus (also known as Miley’s Dad) has filed for divorce from wife Tish.
The couple, who have been married for 17 years, filed for divorce Wednesday in their native Tennessee, citing ‘irreconcilable differences.’
Via People:
“As you can imagine, this is a very difficult time for our family,” they say in a statement. “We are trying to work through some personal matters. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers.”
The split comes as quite a shock as the couple’s pop-princess daughter, Miley, often gushes about what a loving marriage her parents share.
No word yet on who will receive Billy Ray’s mullet.
