Real Housewife, LuAnn de Lesseps, Getting A Divorce

The “Real Housewives of New York” are down for the count…or countess I should say. It seems that Countess LuAnn de Lesseps and her husband the Count have parted ways. Oh no! Who will boss the poor housekeeper, Rosie around? Who will forget to feed the dog? Who will wave to Victoria as she is shipped off to boarding school?

It seems the Count has a wandering eye. It probably didn’t help that he spends most of his time in Europe while LuAnn spends her days wandering around New York spending his cash.

Via The New York Post:

“She got wind he was seeing somebody and he didn’t answer her when she called. He finally sent her an e-mail saying he was with an Ethiopian woman in Geneva and he was serious with her.”

According to her rep, LuAnn and the Count will remain “friends” for the sake of their children. I, however, am inclined to believe this friendship has more to do with alimony payments than children. A source also adds that LuAnn has no intention of making this into a bitter divorce.

Although I am completely addicted to this show, which airs tonight at 10:00 PM/EST on Bravo, I must admit the Countess is a piece of work. This divorce announcement comes only a short month before her book, “Class with the Countess” is due to be released. That’s classy!

Miley Cyrus Has Heart Condition and Fuzzy Feelings For Nick Jonas

Miley Cyrus wants everyone to know she has a heart condition. The condition, called tachycardia, causes her heart to beat irregularly but isn’t life-threatening.

Miley reveals this information to her fans in her autobiography “Miles to Go,” which I am certain she penned on her own with no outside help from anyone.

In the book, she also talks about her messy break-up with Nick Jonas.

Per US Weekly:

“Wow! I was so in love. Do you know what I’m talking about? The kind of love where the sun could shine or not shine all day long and you wouldn’t care.”

OK. Maybe she did write the book on her own.

Never fret Miley and Jo-Bro fans, she gets into more detail about her tumultuous relationship with the tween heartbreaker by revealing her motivation behind her song, “7 Things I Hate About You”:

“I was angry when I wrote ‘7 Things’. I wanted to punish him, to get back at him for hurting me. It starts with a list of what I ‘hate.’ But I’m not a hater. My heart knew from the start that it was going to turn into a love song. Why does he get a love song? Because I don’t hate him.”

If she didn’t write this book on her own, someone at the publishing company needs to retake high school English.

“Celebrity Rehab Presents: Sober House” Season Finale

Dear friends, the time has come: “Celebrity Rehab Presents: Sober House” is coming to an end…for this season anyway. You know there are enough train wrecks out there to fully compliment at least another five seasons.

What will happen to former “American Idol” runner-up to the runner-up Nikki McKibbin? Will Mary Carey forget everything my beloved silver fox Dr. Drew has taught her and return to a life of porn movies and pills? And what about former Guns and Roses drummer Steven Adler? Since moving into the “Sober House” he has had two relapses and was even arrested for possession of heroine. Will he be able to make it in the real world without the help of the Pasadena Recovery Center staff? He couldn’t even pee in a cup without someone’s help, so I am going to guess probably not.

I had the privilege of speaking with Dr. Drew recently while he was promoting his many shows and his upcoming book: “The Mirror Effect: How Celebrity Narcissism is Seducing America” (which is due in stores March 17).

I asked the doc if he ever worries about what motivates some celebrities to sign-up to have their battles with addiction filmed. He responded:

“We are always concerned with what motivates a patient to seek treatment. I have found that if you pay them to show-up and pay them to stay-in, they stay longer and increase their chance of getting better.”

I guess Andy Dick was harder-up for work than I thought.

You can read more of my interview with Dr. Drew here at Hollywood Dame.

Catch the season finale of “Celebrity Rehab Presents: Sober House” Thursday March 12 at 10 PM ET/PT.

Britney Spears Book Deal – Plus ‘Circus’ Rehearsal Photos

That’s right y’all! The Princess of Hot Mess is writing a book. K-Mart can’t wait.

Britney Spears has signed a deal to write a book about her life. For over $14 million dollars Spears will sit down and share the info on her entire life.

Per Mirror UK:

Our source reveals: “There have been numerous unofficial biographies printed about Britney, but she’s never agreed to pen her own tome – until now. “And some of the stories she’s got are absolute dynamite. She’s kept diaries so there’s nothing she’ll leave out unless she wants to.

“If the deal goes ahead she will write between three and five books throughout the next decade – it’s one of the most lucrative book deals in showbiz history. Britney will talk frankly about growing up and how she went off the rails. It’ll be a gripping read.”

For once I am agreeing with OK! Magazine as well. The rag finds the book deal a little too far fetched. If an autobiography is in the works for her $14 million seems far too high. Spears would have to out sell “Harry Potter-sized numbers” in order to turn a profit.

“That seems ridiculously high for a book deal,” the source tells OK!. “Even though she’s a huge star, that doesn’t mean anyone wants to read an autobiography by her. To make back that much of an advance, the publisher would have to sell Harry Potter-size numbers.”

Good Lord. This is a terrible idea for her. Great for us, because I am sure burning questions like “Does Kevin Federline smile like a combination of wet dogs and Captain Crunch?” or “What is her favorite episode of Hannah Montana?” will all finally be answered.

Oprahs Crack Smokes Crack Says Ex

One of Oprah Winfrey’s ex-boyfriends, Randolph Cook, is writing a tell all book in which in it he talks very specifically and graphically about his alleged crack smoking days with Ms. Oprah. Cook and Winfrey dated back in 1985 and Cook claims it was Winfrey who got him hooked on cocaine. The book, titled “The Wizard of O”, describes how Oprah reportedly made a “rock” of cocaine and baking soda in the tube and heated it, a method known as freebasing.

Randolph Cook Claims Via Celebslap:

“Oprah then put the lit torch on the rock, inhaled and held the smoke in her lungs for a long time. When she finally exhaled, she began to shake violently as she put the pipe down, and had trouble catching her breath and her eyes got as big as saucers. We smoked at least a couple times a week. Sometimes we would smoke up until her limo was waiting to take her to the studio to perform her show. A few times, she was still under the influence while doing her show.”

On a 1995 episode of her talk show, Oprah herself publicly acknowledged smoking crack. While interviewing four mothers who had experienced problems with drugs, Oprah made the reveal, calling it “one of the hardest things I’ve ever said.” alongside Patrice Gaines, a Washington Post reporter, who has written a book chronicling her own experience with drug abuse.

Oprah Stated (Per Find Articles):

“In my 20′s, I’d done this drug and I know exactly what you are talking about.” claiming the drug abuse happened while as an anchorwoman on a television news show. “It’s my life’s great big secret. It was such a secret because–I realize (with) the public person I have become–if the story ever were revealed, the tabloids would exploit it and what a big issue it would be.

But I was involved with a man in my 20s who introduced me to the same drug that you’ve been talking about and, like Patrice, I always felt that the drug itself is not the problem but that I was addicted to the man.” She admitted: “I can’t think of anything I wouldn’t have done for that man. I had a perfect round little Afro, I went to church every Sunday and I went to Wednesday prayer meeting when I could… and I did drugs.”

This isn’t the first time Cook has tried to sell a book about Oprah – after a failed attempt the first time around Cook sued Oprah for $20 Million in 1997 blaming the failure on the publishing industry not wanting to cross the namesake of Oprah’s Book Club. Maybe this time around the book will have better success – Apparently in this day and age its not a big deal… Just look at Amy Winehouse. Hey, bad press is better than no press, right? Of course getting high and barking at hotel guests is never a good idea.
