Britney Spears Tweets A Peek At New Music Video – PIC

Britney Spears is still unconfirmed at the Grammy Awards yet the speculation and excitement about her new album and video continues to stand strong. She recently talked about what direction she went with the new music and tweeted a little peak at the new music video she is working on for her #1 debut “Hold It Against Me.”

The new Spears album is slated for a March release. Britney said of the project that she’s is going back to her “edgy” side.

Per People:

“It’s way more edgy than the last album,” songwriter Claude Kelly, who composed several tracks for the as-yet-untitled album, tells PEOPLE at a New York NARAS reception. He adds that Spears, 29, is returning to the grittier sounds of 2007′s Blackout. “[It's] more in the vein of the album before,” he says.

More 2011 Grammy Performers Announced

I cannot wait for this years Grammy Awards. The red carpet, the performances, and the winners!!! Bring it on baby. We already told you that Lady Gaga will be gracing the stage at this years award show – We always know that Gaga will bring it on stage and this performance should be even bigger because it’s also the day she releases her first single from her new album. CBS has officially announced some other performers for the February 13th show. Any guesses on who else is set to perform?

Per LA Times:

Announced Thursday morning, the musicians range from the sturdy country sounds of Miranda Lambert to the grand rock ‘n’ roll of the Quebecois band Arcade Fire (both of whom will make their Grammy performance debuts), from the king of the two-word profanity, Cee Lo Green, to the reigning Queen of Pomp and Pop, Lady Gaga. Rounding out the list of heavy-hitters will be Detroit rapper Eminem, whose 10 nominations lead the pack, and Katy Perry, who will no doubt be competing with Gaga in the unofficial “most buzzworthy costume” category.

It’s not surprise that Eminem is performing. He leads the pack of nominations this year with 10 nods. I’m also hoping that Bruno Mars, who has 7 nominations, will also perform. It’s rumored that Britney Spears will also be performing, but CBS has yet to officially confirm it.

Lady Gaga Prepping A Blow Out Performance For GRAMMY Award Show

After yesterdays reports of Britney Spears opening the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards, new reports confirm that Brit Brit will not be opening the ceremony. However, in a simple twist of fate, Lady Gaga’s choreographer, Laurieann Gibson, has confirmed that she’ll not only be taking the stage, but opening the show with an outrageous Gagalicious performance!

Do you think that Gaga can top the duet she did of “Speechless” with Elton John last year? What tricks is the might Mother Monster going to employ to get a rise out of the audience?

Lady Gaga is nominated for six Grammy awards, including ‘Album Of The Year’ for Fame Monster. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with for the show!

Britney Spears To Perform At The Grammys

While riding high after dropping her first song in ages, (listen to it HERE), it seems Britney Spears has now been asked to perform at the Grammy Awards.

Via Perez Hilton:

“Right now there are no plans for her to open the show but we’re told that ‘she’s been rehearsing for weeks and it’s gonna be a truly great performance!’”

A rep for Spears did not confirm that the singer is scheduled to perform.

Should Spears perform at the awards bash scheduled to take place February 13, it would mark the first time in FOREVER that Spears performed, or lipsync’d, in ages.

I really hope she performs. I can’t stand anymore Ke$ha. I need Britney to remind us all of the true meaning of body glitter and snake usage while performing.
