Burt Reynolds is hitting up rehab after forming a love affair/addiction to pain meds. I am guessing this means he is also BFF with Paual Abdul now.

“After a recent back surgery, Mr. Reynolds felt like he was going through hell and after a while, realized he was a prisoner of prescription pain pills,” his manager said in a statement Wednesday. “He checked himself into rehab in order to regain control of his life. Mr. Reynolds hopes his story will help others in a similar situation. He hopes they will not try to solve the problem by themselves, but realize that sometimes it is too tough to do on their own and they should seek help, as he did.”

Another side of the story is that The Rhinestone Cowboy went ham sandwich crazy and stayed in a mental hospital before he entered rehab.

“The 73-year-old Hollywood legend was treated in a hospital emergency room after the incident in late August, but he behaved so bizarrely that he was taken to a county mental health facility, say sources. The facility refused to release him unless he agreed to immediately go into drug and alcohol rehab.”

I am not 100% convinced that this isn’t a cover for plastic surgery.
