Ashton Kutcher Replacing Charlie Sheen on ‘Two and a Half Men’

Charlie Sheen thought that his hit show on CBS “Two And a Half Men” would not survive without him. Once he was fired he began ranting and raving about how CBS would have to cancel the show because it would be nothing without his character.

Well Happy Friday the 13th Charlie, you’ve been officially replaced. I guess today Sheen’s not winning! Who’s set to replace Charlie on the hit show? Ashton Kutcher!

Charlie Sheen NOT Returning to CBS

Earlier this week it was rumored that CBS was desperate to get Charlie Sheen back to work on ‘Two and a Half Men.’ Sources were saying that CBS executives were in talk with Warner Brothers to re-hire Charlie. After all of the BS and smack he talked about CBS and Warner Brothers I was shocked. Clearly Charlie was WINNING! But he’s dug himself so far into a hole that WB wants nothing to do with him anymore.

Per TMZ:

Charlie was hired by Warner Bros. and, as TMZ first reported, fired by Warner Bros. Only Warner Bros. can bring him back, and sources directly connected to the production tell us there is “no chance” of that happening.

I mean can we blame Warner Brothers? Charlie treated Chuck Lorre, who created the show, worse than any mother-in-law wrath. Plus he’s clearly unstable and probably pretty risky to insure. All actors are insured by production companies during their time on a show or while filming a movie. It’s to protect the production company or studio if that actor were to die or have some other situation that would prevent them from working.

Will ‘Two and a Half Men’ come back without Charlie? Sources are saying Lorre is in the process of looking for a replacement for Charlie’s character on the show. Well Charlie there’s always Fox. Rumor has it they are interested in doing some sort of late night talk show with him.

T-H-E-R-A-P-Y — That should be his next endeavor.

CBS Desperate to Have Charlie Sheen Back on ‘Two and a Half Men’

I think it’s safe to say that Charlie Sheen is winning! Last week he sold out a bunch of cities for his Live Tour and now there’s talk of Charlie’s return to TV maybe sooner rather than later. Charlie was let go from his CBS hit TV showTwo and a Half Men‘ after he threatened the creator and was acting a little out there. But apparently crazy sells! After the live shows come and go what will be next on Charlie’s agenda? TMZ is reporting that he met with Fox executives late last week to brainstorm about ideas for Charlie including a late night talk show.

Our sources say nothing was decided at the meeting, but everyone liked Charlie.

But Fox may need to pony up the big money because CBS reportedly wants Charlie back. Radar Online is saying that top CBS executives are ready to forgive and forget all of Charlie’s craziness to have him back on their network. Les Moonves, CBS CEO, is trying to make it happen, reportedly chatting with executives from Warner Bros. who produce the show – But the issue is really between Charlie and Chuck Lorre, who was the target of many threats and rants.

“Moonves wants to get the show back on the air. He’s all for it,” the insider adds. “He says certain people need to forget anything and everything Charlie’s done recently and just move on with the business at hand. The core issue is, as he put it, the volatile relationship between Charlie Sheen and Chuck Lorre. He believes that if CBS and Warner Bros. TV honchos can find a way to get Chuck and Charlie to speak again, cooler heads will prevail.”

I think CBS will need to really show Charlie the money and up his pay big time if they ever want him back. Is there about to be a lot of Sheen butt kissing by CBS? It looks that way! Winning!

Charlie Sheen’s Live Tour Sells Out

If Charlie Sheen is suffering a mental breakdown, it might be the most profitable breakdown in history. The recently-firedTwo and a Half Men” star is taking his “they fired me” schtick on the road, with a series of live comedy performances. Last week two dates were announced for a ‘Charlie Sheen Live: My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is Not an Option‘ tour and tickets went on sale this past Saturday. Both shows, one in Chicago and the other in Detroit, sold out in 10 minutes, in what Ticketmaster calls ‘record-breaking!’ I guess this just proved that people aren’t sick of Sheen’s craziness because they are willing to spend their hard-earned money to see him live. Since ticket sales did so well, it looks like his tour is expanding to more cities. Rumor has it his tour will grow to 20-30 more cities including some European and Australian dates. So if you were disappointed that he wasn’t coming to your city, perhaps good news will be on the way later this week. A source says that Madison Square Garden is trying to book a date even though “that’s not the ideal venue size for Charlie,” but he’s open to it. As for what we can expect to see on his live tour:

Per 411 Mania:

A source says, “Charlie is first and foremost an actor. There will be a lot of scripted material, plus videos, interactive audience material, the whole range of things that play off Charlie’s strengths. There will be light and dark moments. People will not be disappointed.”

After hearing the news of his sold out show Sheen tweeted “Fastball; Detroit/Chicago sold out in minutes… Thanks to Sheen’s Cadre..! #WINNING”. Since he was fired by CBS, Sheen has filed a $100 million lawsuit against Warner Bros. and Chuck Lorre, co-creator of the show. Trouble began after Sheen sought treatment for substance abuse, and the show was put on hiatus in late January. But after he started zinging Lorre in the media, CBS suspended him.

Judging from his behavior in recent weeks, I’m sure we can expect rambling monologues that trash his former co-stars, along with plenty of cigarette-smoking. I am seriously wondering what he is possibly going to do with his “WINNING” comedy tour. Whatever else, it will undoubtedly be a break from reality. Still I am curious, and I may actually have to buy tickets and go just for the pure entertainment factor of it.

Charlie Sheen Suing Warner Bros.; Shares ‘Winning’ Recipes in New Video

Charlie Sheen is suing Warner Inc.’s WB Studio Enterprises unit and the producer of the ‘Two and a Half Men‘ for $100 million plus punitive damages over his firing from the show. Sheen accused Warner Bros. and Chuck Lorre, the show’s creator, of breach of contract and retaliation, among other claims, in a complaint filed today. He also sued on behalf of the entire cast and the crew of the show that was halted last month before all the episodes for the current television season had been finished.

Per TMZ:

In a scathing preamble, legal pit bull Marty Singer writes in the lawsuit, “Chuck Lorre, one of the richest men in television who is worth hundreds of millions of dollars, believes himself to be so wealthy and powerful that he can unilaterally decide to take money away from the dedicated cast and crew of the popular television series, ‘Two and a Half Men,’ in order to serve his own ego and self-interest, and make the star of the Series the scapegoat for Lorre’s own conduct.”

“Torpedo away… You corporate Trolls were warned. And now you’ve been served! ” Sheen tweeted earlier today. Much of the basis of the suit seems to be that Sheen hasn’t been fired throughout all his past transgressions, so why fire him now? The lawsuit also lists several shots Lorre has taken at Sheen’s lifestyle, including the infamous vanity card that read, “If Charlie Sheen outlives me, I’m going to be pissed.” But interestingly, the suit states that Warner Bros. fired Charlie during a period of sickness, and that’s in violation of California State Law. If drinking ‘Tiger’s blood, sitting on my couch in my mansion and Twittering, and playing around with a webcam means you’re sick, then where do I sign up?

Sheen has been known for his highly publicized marital, legal and substance abuse problems as much as his acting. The show was put on hiatus after he entered a rehabilitation program in January, and production was halted after Sheen blasted Lorre and Alcoholics Anonymous in a radio interview. He has followed that up with a series of interviews in which he threatened to sue CBS for shutting down the show, demanded a raise from $2 million to $3 million per episode and insisted he was “clean, focused and ready to get back to work.”

Sheen sure is eating up all the media attention and being as crazy as possible nowadays. He did a cooking show for FunnyorDie.com – you know, since he’s been fired from ‘Two and a Half Men,’ he’s got all this extra time on his hands. This new video below is actually the first that I really enjoyed! Sheen filmed a mock cooking show called “Charlie Sheen’s Winning Recipes.” The sketch shows Sheen in his kitchen, sporting a tiger print chef’s hat and wearing an apron.

Per E! Online:

“Yes, I’m doing a cooking show,” he says. “Why? Because if you haven’t noticed I’m winning television right now. My plan is to be the first person to have made an appearance on every television network. Just like I was the first person to get one million Twitter followers in 24 hours. Like I was the first person to build my own rocketship to Cassiopeia using only my mind tools. Here I come, Food Network.”

My favorite line from it: “Face It, I am living the life of a rock star Vatican Assassin, and if you eat like me, you can be like me.” Gotta see this video. He definitely still has a sense of humor even after being fired and throwing out slurs and lawsuits… or maybe he just really is THAT CRAZY?!

Rob Lowe to Replace Charlie Sheen on ‘Two and a Half Men’ ?!?

The first candidate to replace Charlie Sheen on “Two And A Half Men” is apparently lined up and is also an old friend of the Sheen family. Rob Lowe’s agent has reportedly been talking with producer Chuck Lorre just hours after Warner Brothers fired Sheen from the hit show. But Lowe’s fans shouldn’t get too excited just yet.

Per TMZ:

There are two stumbling blocks for Rob — he currently stars in “Parks and Recreation,” and he grew up with the Sheen family.

Warners and CBS haven’t said if the show will come back without Sheen, but potential legal actions by Sheen’s team could make that hard. Yesterday, Sheen’s lawyers immediately said they would take legal action against ‘Two and a Half Men.’ Sheen allegedly has a “Michael J. Fox” clause in his contract, which allows him to get paid for men for every future episode, even if he is not on the show.

Per TMZ:

When Fox was doing “Spin City,” his contract provided that he would keep getting paid as long as the show was in production, even if he left the show. Ironically, when Charlie took over for Michael, Michael kept drawing his salary. Sources say when Charlie signed on for “Two and a Half Men” … the original contract provided an identical clause, so Charlie’s people believe Warner Bros. is on the hook if they keep producing the show.

Lowe isn’t the only name to be bouncing around as a possible replacement. John Stamos was rumored last week to be in talks to take over, but quickly denied those reports. Sheen didn’t take those rumors too well, saying that Stamos replacing him would be a “tragic joke” and that the creators of the show would “deserve their failures and follies.” Sheen later apologized for those remarks, calling Stamos a “talented man.”

Even if they don’t nab Lowe or Stamos, it looks like Lorre and company are still hard at work trying to find a friendly face to keep the show on the boob tube. Personally, I think they should just let it die. No one can bring Charlie’s brand of crazy to this role. No offense, John Cryer.

Charlie Sheen Officially FIRED From ‘Two and a Half Men’

It’s official: Charlie Sheen’s winning is over. The actor is now FIRED from his role as Charlie Harper on ‘Two and a Half Men‘ due to his dangerously self-destructive conduct, derailing production when entering rehab, firing his sobriety coach, and committing “a felony offense involving moral turpitude” in addition to his recent hijinks, including trashing the Plaza Hotel in NYC, numerous coke binges, on-set failures because of drug fatigue, and diatribes against show creator Chuck Lorre.

Per TMZ:

Warner Bros. issued the following statement: “After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen’s services on ‘Two and a Half Men,’ effective immediately.”

Sheen, who has been in the news of late due to his erratic behavior and drug use, was reportedly sent a letter from Warner Bros. on earlier today informing him of his dismissal (Click HERE to read that letter). His firing comes as no surprise following a series of bizarre rambling interviews and attacks on the show and creators. Sheen’s recent antics caused Warner Bros. to suspend production on the show for the remainder of the season, sending Sheen into an angry media campaign against the show’s producers. The show’s spokesman says no decision has been made about the show’s production future, other than the fact that Sheen will not be a part of the series any longer.

Sheen’s laywer, Marty Singer, is demanding that Warner Bros. pay Sheen for the eight cancelled episodes this season, or else. Sheen, however, is seeing the silver-lining and has released his own statement to TMZ:

“This is very good news. They continue to be in breach, like so many whales. It is a big day of gladness at the Sober Valley Lodge because now I can take all of their bazillions, never have to look at whatshiscock again and I never have to put on those silly shirts for as long as this warlock exists in the terrestrial dimension.”

I must admit I found his antics mildly amusing for a while. Until, that is, his children were involved and eventually removed from his custody. Here is someone who had the world at his feet and he is throwing it all away. Now it’s time for him to get some help. It could be the biggest production of his life – America loves a good comeback story.

Charlie Sheen Rant Leads to Cancellation Of ‘Two and a Half Men’?!?

Although a weekend bender full of hookers, blow, and porn stars would be enough for some of us, apparently, it’s just another typical weekend for actor Charlie Sheen.

Despite reports that Sheen was completing a stint in rehab “at home,” the ‘Two and a Half Men’ star went on the radio airwaves twice over the last two weeks spouting gibberish concerning his lack of need for such a rehabilitation program.

We told you back in January that Sheen’s partying ways had shut down production of the hit TV show (read about that BY CLICKING HERE). However, the show continued production while Sheen completed in-house treatment.

Not so much anymore…

Sheen first started throwing around hurtful words about the show’s creator, Chuck Lorre. Even going so far as challenging Lorre to a fight.

According to TMZ, Sheen’s actions forced CBS to shut down production of the show for the remainder of the season.

This then led Sheen to release the following letter to TMZ regarding the stoppage of production:

“What does this say about Haim Levine [Chuck Lorre] after he tried to use his words to judge and attempt to degrade me. I gracefully ignored this folly for 177 shows … I fire back once and this contaminated little maggot can’t handle my power and can’t handle the truth. I wish him nothing but pain in his silly travels especially if they wind up in my octagon. Clearly I have defeated this earthworm with my words — imagine what I would have done with my fire breathing fists. I urge all my beautiful and loyal fans who embraced this show for almost a decade to walk with me side-by-side as we march up the steps of justice to right this unconscionable wrong.

Remember these are my people … not yours…we will continue on together…”

Until Chuck is caught snorting coke laced with fairy dust from Lindsay Lohan’s naval, I don’t think he has much to worry about.

Charlie Sheen’s Partying Shutting Down ‘Two and Half Men’

Charlie Sheen finally realized he has a problem with drugs and alcohol and checked himself into rehab on Friday. This was of course after he had a huge 36 hour house party that involved multiple porn stars, a briefcase full of coke, and a trip to the hospital. CBS and his hit show ‘Two and a Half Men‘ are completely supporting Charlie’s effort to get better. They have shut down production of the show until Charlie is out of rehab. This isn’t the first time production has been shut down because of Charlie entering rehab. Last February Charlie spent some time in rehab and the cast and crew ended up getting partial compensation. So how long will Charlie be in rehab this time?

Per NY Daily News:

The 45-year-old actor is set to be in treatment for the next three months — though his rep has not confirmed that timeframe — jeopardizing eight remaining episodes of the hit CBS show that have yet to be shot his season, TMZ.com reports.

If “Two and a Half Men” shuts down permanently, it could mean a loss of $250 million in revenue for the show’s production company, Warner Bros. Television, as well as millions in lost ad revenue for the network, according to The Hollywood Reporter. CBS made it clear in a statement released Sunday, however, that Sheen’s health was the network’s priority.

“Looking forward, the financial impact of the shutdown is not material to CBS,” the network said. “Any ratings declines will be more than offset by the reduced programming costs for episodes lost this season. We will begin to address the scheduling issues this week. The network is strong and deep with hit series; we’re not reliant on one show. In addition, ‘Two and a Half Men’ has always performed well in repeats, and we have the option of ordering additional episodes of other popular comedies on the network.”

The crew is reportedly not very happy with the hold up, worried that because of Charlie’s 3 month hiatus that they will not get paid. No word on what the studio plans to do this time with crew compensation, but official word is expected to be out soon. Clearly Charlie needs to be in rehab, but I understand the crew’s reasoning for being upset. Hopefully the studio takes care of them.
