Charlie Sheen Booed in Detroit, Revamps Chicago Show

The Detroit “Violent Torpedo of Truth” tour opening night probably wasn’t what Charlie Sheen would call “winning”… Now remember this show sold out in 18 minutes. Did show goers get their monies worth or were they left severely disappointed?

According to several media sources, the show began with an audience Q&A with Charlie answering questions like his favorite porn star and about crack cocaine. The he played an interview clip he did for the network and ripped it apart. The beginning got loud cheers, but later when he related crack use to the city of Detroit in a joke the crowd started to turn on him. At this point the audience started to boo Charlie. Charlie called in backup from Simon Rex (Um, seriously? He’s still around?) who came on stage to rap. Again the crowd was not pleased and people were seen leaving…

Per Huffinton Post:

“I was hoping for something. I didn’t think it would be this bad,” said Fugate, a 47-year-old from Lincoln Park, Mich.

“Brutal. I expected him to at least entertain a little bit,” said Rodney Gagnon, 34, of Windsor, Ontario.

So what was Charlie’s next plan to save himself? He started to play the track he recorded with Snoop Dog called “Winning.” The crowd began to cheer, but when neither Charlie nor Snoop came on stage they began to boo again! Then most of the crowd began walking out of the show. Charlie invited those that stayed to move closer. He complained about the quality of the audio and then walked off stage. Yikes!!! Seriously, what a train wreck. Total time of the show — Less than one hour!

What did these people expect? Seriously. I feel bad for them loosing out on their hard earned cash, but buying a ticket to his show is like buying a ticket to a Freak Show taking place in a back alley with features like the “Amazing One Headed Goat” or “The World’s Tallest Midget” and being pissed when it turns out to be a goat and some random guy chain smoking.

But while Sheen’s “Violent Torpedo of Truth” tour did miserable in Detroit, sources say that he might have redeemed himself in Chicago. Apparently Sheen decide to “get back to basics” for his second show, staying up until 4am Sunday morning to rework the live act. Taking the stage with a standing ovation as the crowd chanted, “Detroit sucks, Detroit sucks,” Sheen urged the crowd to listen when he talked and not be like Detroit.

Per TMZ:

Show definitely has a different feel than last night. Instead of Charlie on stage by himself, he has an interviewer of sorts asking him questions.

He made it to the intermission with no booing and told more stories of his drug use and partying. Just like the interviews that started all this – Sheen figured it would help put him in the “zone” for some crazier nutbar rants. The show ended with another standing ovation from the crowd.

CBS Desperate to Have Charlie Sheen Back on ‘Two and a Half Men’

I think it’s safe to say that Charlie Sheen is winning! Last week he sold out a bunch of cities for his Live Tour and now there’s talk of Charlie’s return to TV maybe sooner rather than later. Charlie was let go from his CBS hit TV showTwo and a Half Men‘ after he threatened the creator and was acting a little out there. But apparently crazy sells! After the live shows come and go what will be next on Charlie’s agenda? TMZ is reporting that he met with Fox executives late last week to brainstorm about ideas for Charlie including a late night talk show.

Our sources say nothing was decided at the meeting, but everyone liked Charlie.

But Fox may need to pony up the big money because CBS reportedly wants Charlie back. Radar Online is saying that top CBS executives are ready to forgive and forget all of Charlie’s craziness to have him back on their network. Les Moonves, CBS CEO, is trying to make it happen, reportedly chatting with executives from Warner Bros. who produce the show – But the issue is really between Charlie and Chuck Lorre, who was the target of many threats and rants.

“Moonves wants to get the show back on the air. He’s all for it,” the insider adds. “He says certain people need to forget anything and everything Charlie’s done recently and just move on with the business at hand. The core issue is, as he put it, the volatile relationship between Charlie Sheen and Chuck Lorre. He believes that if CBS and Warner Bros. TV honchos can find a way to get Chuck and Charlie to speak again, cooler heads will prevail.”

I think CBS will need to really show Charlie the money and up his pay big time if they ever want him back. Is there about to be a lot of Sheen butt kissing by CBS? It looks that way! Winning!

Charlie Sheen’s Live Tour Sells Out

If Charlie Sheen is suffering a mental breakdown, it might be the most profitable breakdown in history. The recently-firedTwo and a Half Men” star is taking his “they fired me” schtick on the road, with a series of live comedy performances. Last week two dates were announced for a ‘Charlie Sheen Live: My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is Not an Option‘ tour and tickets went on sale this past Saturday. Both shows, one in Chicago and the other in Detroit, sold out in 10 minutes, in what Ticketmaster calls ‘record-breaking!’ I guess this just proved that people aren’t sick of Sheen’s craziness because they are willing to spend their hard-earned money to see him live. Since ticket sales did so well, it looks like his tour is expanding to more cities. Rumor has it his tour will grow to 20-30 more cities including some European and Australian dates. So if you were disappointed that he wasn’t coming to your city, perhaps good news will be on the way later this week. A source says that Madison Square Garden is trying to book a date even though “that’s not the ideal venue size for Charlie,” but he’s open to it. As for what we can expect to see on his live tour:

Per 411 Mania:

A source says, “Charlie is first and foremost an actor. There will be a lot of scripted material, plus videos, interactive audience material, the whole range of things that play off Charlie’s strengths. There will be light and dark moments. People will not be disappointed.”

After hearing the news of his sold out show Sheen tweeted “Fastball; Detroit/Chicago sold out in minutes… Thanks to Sheen’s Cadre..! #WINNING”. Since he was fired by CBS, Sheen has filed a $100 million lawsuit against Warner Bros. and Chuck Lorre, co-creator of the show. Trouble began after Sheen sought treatment for substance abuse, and the show was put on hiatus in late January. But after he started zinging Lorre in the media, CBS suspended him.

Judging from his behavior in recent weeks, I’m sure we can expect rambling monologues that trash his former co-stars, along with plenty of cigarette-smoking. I am seriously wondering what he is possibly going to do with his “WINNING” comedy tour. Whatever else, it will undoubtedly be a break from reality. Still I am curious, and I may actually have to buy tickets and go just for the pure entertainment factor of it.

Charlie Sheen Suing Warner Bros.; Shares ‘Winning’ Recipes in New Video

Charlie Sheen is suing Warner Inc.’s WB Studio Enterprises unit and the producer of the ‘Two and a Half Men‘ for $100 million plus punitive damages over his firing from the show. Sheen accused Warner Bros. and Chuck Lorre, the show’s creator, of breach of contract and retaliation, among other claims, in a complaint filed today. He also sued on behalf of the entire cast and the crew of the show that was halted last month before all the episodes for the current television season had been finished.

Per TMZ:

In a scathing preamble, legal pit bull Marty Singer writes in the lawsuit, “Chuck Lorre, one of the richest men in television who is worth hundreds of millions of dollars, believes himself to be so wealthy and powerful that he can unilaterally decide to take money away from the dedicated cast and crew of the popular television series, ‘Two and a Half Men,’ in order to serve his own ego and self-interest, and make the star of the Series the scapegoat for Lorre’s own conduct.”

“Torpedo away… You corporate Trolls were warned. And now you’ve been served! ” Sheen tweeted earlier today. Much of the basis of the suit seems to be that Sheen hasn’t been fired throughout all his past transgressions, so why fire him now? The lawsuit also lists several shots Lorre has taken at Sheen’s lifestyle, including the infamous vanity card that read, “If Charlie Sheen outlives me, I’m going to be pissed.” But interestingly, the suit states that Warner Bros. fired Charlie during a period of sickness, and that’s in violation of California State Law. If drinking ‘Tiger’s blood, sitting on my couch in my mansion and Twittering, and playing around with a webcam means you’re sick, then where do I sign up?

Sheen has been known for his highly publicized marital, legal and substance abuse problems as much as his acting. The show was put on hiatus after he entered a rehabilitation program in January, and production was halted after Sheen blasted Lorre and Alcoholics Anonymous in a radio interview. He has followed that up with a series of interviews in which he threatened to sue CBS for shutting down the show, demanded a raise from $2 million to $3 million per episode and insisted he was “clean, focused and ready to get back to work.”

Sheen sure is eating up all the media attention and being as crazy as possible nowadays. He did a cooking show for FunnyorDie.com – you know, since he’s been fired from ‘Two and a Half Men,’ he’s got all this extra time on his hands. This new video below is actually the first that I really enjoyed! Sheen filmed a mock cooking show called “Charlie Sheen’s Winning Recipes.” The sketch shows Sheen in his kitchen, sporting a tiger print chef’s hat and wearing an apron.

Per E! Online:

“Yes, I’m doing a cooking show,” he says. “Why? Because if you haven’t noticed I’m winning television right now. My plan is to be the first person to have made an appearance on every television network. Just like I was the first person to get one million Twitter followers in 24 hours. Like I was the first person to build my own rocketship to Cassiopeia using only my mind tools. Here I come, Food Network.”

My favorite line from it: “Face It, I am living the life of a rock star Vatican Assassin, and if you eat like me, you can be like me.” Gotta see this video. He definitely still has a sense of humor even after being fired and throwing out slurs and lawsuits… or maybe he just really is THAT CRAZY?!
