File this one under appreciation for a firm grip of the obvious. Kim Cattrall has confirmed to PopEater that a third installment of S&TC is probably not going to happen.

Celebrities Defend Ricky Gervais, Won’t Host Globes Again – VIDEO

I know the entire Ricky Gervais is a Big Ol’ Meanie at the Golden Globes thing has died and is old news, but I couldn’t help but post this. (Click HERE for his monologue some deeded “too far…”) I think he is wickedly funny without totally relying on fart jokes. I may or may not have him on my Celebrity To Do List. You know….if Jake Gyllenhaal, Bear Grylls, David Beckham (he’s not allowed to speak), Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Ryan Reynolds (also not allowed to speak), Colin Farrel, Anderson Cooper, Ryan Gosling, James McAvoy, Johnny Depp (must be in pirate outfit) and my favorite Joseph Gordon Levitt were all kicked off Earth/busy/etc.

Some celebrities are standing up for Gervais and defending his quips during the awards. All Pacino, Paul Giamatti, Chris Noth (Sex and the City was even one of his targets), Steve Buscemi and even Christian I-Will-Lose-My-Shiz-If-Someone-Talks-During-My-Scene Bale spoke highly of Gervais.

While Scientologist may have a Wanted poster hanging in every spa in L.A., Tom Hanks isn’t going to shank him on sight. In fact, Ricky posted his thoughts about the issue being blown up on his site:

“All the same conspiracy theories as last year too… “So and so was offended”… “hasn’t been invited back yet”… exactly the same as last time. “Paul McCartney was furious”… no he wasn’t. And nor was Tim Allen and Tom Hanks. I was drinking with them after.”

As far as being the Golden Globes host anytime soon…Ricky stated that it “didn’t matter” if he was asked to return to the hosting duties as he wouldn’t do it again regardless.

Mr. Big Makes it Official

According to Entertainment Tonight Canada, actor Chris Noth, best known for his recurring stint as ‘Mr. Big’ on ‘Sex and the City’ is making an honest woman out of his baby mama, Tara Wilson.

Via People:

“Noth, 54, broke the news to the show Sunday during an interview at the London, Ontario, outpost of Once Upon A Tea Cup, a teahouse of which he and Canadian-born Wilson, 27, are partners.”

The couple met at a bar owned by Noth where “actress” Wilson worked as a server.

The two have a son, Orion, who will be two in early 2010.

One would think that, with all the time I spend in bars, I too would have met a Mr. Big.

‘Sex and the City’ Release Date Confirmed

Time for me to break out my Manolo Blahnik’s again–I am going to be getting more sex! “Sex and the City” that is!! Carrie, Samantha, Charolette and Miranda are going to be at a theatre near you on May 28, 2010, according to Variety.

Its biggest competition will the “Prince of Persia” game to movie film starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Ben Kingsley, and apparently some untitled romantic comedy starring our favorite Drama Queen Katherine Heigl and Ashton Kutcher (really?? REALLY??). So, obviously NO competition for this movie.

The bigger question in my mind is that the series as centered on Carrie’s romantic misfires, with Big, Aiden and Petrovski. With Carrie being married and happily settled, will this sequel have the same feel as the TV show and first movie? I am skeptical but willing to be open minded. Maybe the producers could send me some designer handbags and shoes. My skepticism seems to disappear with free swag. Just sayin’.
