New Music Friday – Chipmunk Feat. Chris Brown

We’ve never heard of British grime hip-hop artist Chipmunk, but we like his decidedly grunge-y English flow complete with his streetwise London swagger. Combine that with Chris Brown‘s boyish, soaring vocals and a video that looks like it was filmed on the same set as Diddy-Dirty Money‘s “Coming Home” video and you’ve got a recipe that will make all the girlies nuts.

We’re not sure what part of “Champion” means that you rap angsty flow in an underground steel pipe; in the middle of a desert evocative of Area 51; with a creepy light shining behind you. But if that’s all it takes to be “born a champion,” we are pretty sure snakes and creepy crawlies in the High Desert were all born champions as well.One thing we are certain of–despite the childish name, Chipmunk, little Chippy is not only born a champion; he is born a star. We look forward to hearing more of his unique songwriting in 2011.

Diddy – Dirty Money ‘Last Train To Paris’ CD GIVEAWAY!!

Diddy – Dirty Money, comprised of Sean Combs, Dawn Richard, and Kalenna Harper, premiered the music video for their latest hit, “Coming Home,” exclusively on E! last week. The video, now available online, features the trio crossing the desert to get home, only to find the charred remains of what used to be.

The track, along with past hit singles “Hello, Good Morning” featuring T.I. and “Loving You No More” featuring Drake, will appear on Diddy – Dirty Money’s debut album, ‘Last Train to Paris,’ available everywhere December 14th.
