Daniel Radcliffe and Anderson Cooper Together At Last – VIDEO

Nerdgasm Ahoy!!! Anderson Cooper and Daniel Radcliffe together! These two could have talked about baking soda for an hour and I’d still watch intently.

Anderson Cooper is hitting Broadway in “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” as the narrator. It’s all prerecorded, but Anderson Cooper’s voice is like soothing elevator music mixed with Spanish Fly and dipped in rainbows, so I will enjoy it. The best part is that Daniel Radcliffe stars in the show so you get two for the price of one.

Harry Potter Cast Attempts American Twang – VIDEO

This is simply gratuitous Harry Potter-ness.

Some of the cast of the Harry Potter saga sat down and tried some American phrases in an American accent. Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint and Tom Felton all attempt to ditch their English accents for a American twang…LOL’s ensue.

J.K. Rowling ‘No More Harry Potter’ – VIDEO

Harry Potter fans have been treated to years of looking forward to books, films and any nugget of inside knowledge or detail when it comes to the Wizarding World Rowling created. The Deathly Hallows was one of the most anticipated books ever penned and gave answers to long asked questions like…Snape- Friend or Foe? Would the boy who lived…die? Now that we have those answers, all that is left to anticipate is the films.

As part one of the final installment has been premiering across the world, fans are eager to hear if J.K. Rowling will ever return us to the beloved world of Harry Potter. She has alluded to more in the distant future and even told Oprah “you never know” when it comes to the revisiting the story.

However, that looks to be a tease. Rowling texted Daniel Radcliffe and promised him that this is the end of Harry Potter.

Via MTV:

“Basically, it amounted to the fact that she felt I had been very good in this ‘Harry Potter’ film, and as a reward for that, she wasn’t going to [write] any more ‘Harry Potter’ [books]. I’m sure she will be writing other books,” he continued. “But I can pretty much guarantee that Harry will not be a feature.”

Do you think it really is the end? Will I have to hang up my ‘Harry is Mah Homeboy’ t-shirt after the Deathly Hallows?

[Daniel Radcliffe as Robert Pattinson/Edward on ‘The Simpsons’ – VIDEO]

The Harry Potter versus Twilight war took a back seat to good humored spoofing on The Simpson’s Treehouse of Horror XXI. Daniel Radcliffe gave voice to a knockoff Edward Cullen on the Halloween special for the cartoon. (Fast-forward to the last segment about 14:34 to see the Twilight spoof.)

Anne Hathaway, Ian Somerhalder, and More Film PSA For The Trevor Project – VIDEO

On September 22, 18-year-old Rutgers student Tyler Clementi committed suicide after his roommate broadcast an online video of him having sex with another guy. The story devastated Ellen DeGeneres so much that she made a tearful statement about the incident, as well as bullying in general. Since then, there have been a slew of high-profile efforts to bring awareness to the issue.

Asher Brown, Seth Walsh, Billy Lucas, Raymond Chase … These young men also committed suicide over the past few weeks because they were bullied for being gay. These teenagers were the targets of constant harassment and verbal and physical abuse leaving them to feel alone in the world, and like they had nowhere to turn. Since then, numerous celebrities, such as Daniel Radcliffe, have spoken out against the bullying of gay youth, while others like Perez Hilton, have filmed their own “It Gets Better” videos.

Per Fashion.ie:

Celebrities from all over have been lending their voices of support to the “It Gets Better” project this week. From DeGeneres to the stars of The Vampire Diaries to Anne Hathaway and Tim Gunn, famous faces want to tell all victims of bullying that there is support out there and as dire as the situation may seem in high school, middle school, or wherever they are at the moment, the future is bright.

Celebs are urging troubled teens to seek professional support if they are being targeted. The video starts out with all the celebs saying the tag line: “It gets better.” They go one to urge that even in the darkest times, there’s always hope through The Trevor Project, an organization that is focused on providing crisis and suicide prevention efforts for gay teens with a confidential, toll-free 24-hour suicide hotline (866-4-U-TREVOR) with trained counselors for gay and questioning youth. In addition to the hotline, they offer a variety of online resources, including a chat option if you want to talk to someone over the computer.

Check out The Trevor Project for more information. And remember IT GETS BETTER!

Daniel Radcliffe New Girlfriend – PHOTOS

Daniel Radcliffe has a new girlfriend. The Harry Potter star is usually keeps a low profile and hasn’t had much time for ladies. His previous dated in Laura O’Toole shortly after meeting in November of 2007. The romance passed and he had put his love life on hold to focus on work. Of course, he dabbled in dating some older women off and on and even admitted to losing his virginity to an older lady.

He has since been spotted with a new “mystery woman.” (By mystery woman they mean non-celeb. And by non-celeb they mean someone who isn’t walking red carpets, making sex tapes or getting arrested while on a reality show.) She has been at his side through his 21st birthday bash in Russia and then they were spotted again as two took attended a game of cricket at The Oval in London. Dan has played coy and just stated to press that he had a wonderful birthday and dub her as a “friend.”

“Radcliffe later described Russia as ‘probably the most beautiful, the most incredible, wonderful place I’ve ever been in my life’, adding that he ‘went with two friends and it was brilliant’.”

Daniel Radcliffe Talks About Robert Pattinson Rivalry – Video

Now kittens, before you get all slanty-eyed and stabby…it was all in good fun. The plan fact is that there is no rivalry. In fact, they barely know each other. I know it was cruel of me to lure you in like a creepy ice cream man promising kittens and candy in the back of his van. No after dinner drinkety as punishment.

Daniel Radcliffe, Harry Potter, talked with MTV about Robert Pattinson, the end of the Potter filming and the seeing his older self in the last film’s epilogue.

His lack of Robert Pattinson knowledge:

“I haven’t spoken to him in three years. I’ve seen him once since we filmed the full film (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire). People always assume that being I am a celebrity, I know all the celebrities. I know very few famous people, my phone book is a very dull thing to read through. I wish Rob all the best. I hope he is doing ok and is well and everything.”

Regarding the completing the last Harry Potter film:

“I won’t miss Quidditch, if you see a hot girl on set and you are trying to chat her up in a school boys uniform. It’s a funny thing. Women don’t have the same reaction to men dresses as school boys as men do for women dressed as school girls. I don’t understand. It just didn’t do it for lots of women. I put on the tie and jumper and stuff and it made them feel weird.”

On the film’s epilogue: *SPOILER ALERT*

“This is the last image that people are going to have of the film. I’d rather they did it with other actors than with us and it looked bad. Having seen “Benjamin Button,” the technology clearly exists to do that.”

This man-child is amusing beyond words. I hope, in a non-pedophile way, he does well.

Daniel Radcliffe Will Be Naked and Make Out with Emma Watson in Final Harry Potter Films

harry-potter-and-the-deathly-hallows-movie-still

Much hubbub has surrounded the final Harry Potter film. The final installment, ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,’ of the series will be split into two movies (wise move) and released in 2010 and 2011. A rumor that Harry Potter, played by Daniel Radcliffe, will be naked in one scene has gone back and forth on the true and false scale.

Currently the rumor is true. During an interview with the director, David Yates, he confirmed Radcliffe will be nude.

“In one scene, a horcrux [carrying a piece of Voldemort’s soul] defends itself by producing nightmarish visions, and one shows Hermione and Harry embracing and kissing,” explained Yates. “It’s something intriguing and sensual for Rupert to react to, and Dan will be bare for that.”

It was first reported that he would be nude by a Brazilian fansite (Click HERE to read the original rumor of his nudity). Yates supposedly stated then that:

“Daniel Radcliffe appears naked in one scene where Harry and Ron are fighting a magical creature, who fled to confuse and create a vision. In the view we see Harry and a woman embracing and kissing. It’s an intriguing scene and very sensual.”

The Harry Potter star is no stranger to nudity. Radcliffe was nude for several scenes in the play Equus that ran on Broadway and in London. While on Alexa Chung he discussed the topic being naked and stated it didn’t bother him and referred to his man bit as looking like a “rabbi.” (Click HERE for that video.)

Daniel Radcliffe Talks About His Man Bits, Gay Face and Robert Pattinson

daniel-radcliffe-photoshoot-1

I know all you Harry Potter fans are either exhausted from camping in line to see the midnight show of “Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince” or you are still waiting in line in your best home-sewn robes. So here is a little Daniel Radcliffe for your efforts.

Via Moviefone:

*How do you feel about Dumbledore becoming somewhat of an icon for the gay rights movement?

It’s wonderful. I grew up around gay people my entire life, basically, that’s possibly why I’m quite camp, and some people think I’m gay when I meet them, which I think is awesome. It’s always good to keep them guessing [laughs]. I don’t go on any blogs or chats or anything, but my friends are demons for them, and apparently someone said “Daniel Radcliffe is gay. He’s got a gay face!” [Laughs] I really don’t know what a gay face is. But I think it’s wonderful that Dumbledore was outed as gay … Half of me thinks Jo Rowling just did that to see if she could piss off the right wing, but I’m not sure how true that is. I think she had it planned, I think she always knew he was gay.

*What do you make of the ‘Harry Potter Versus Twilight‘ rivalry that’s been brewing?

It’s very funny. It’s very much like the ‘Lord of the Rings’ rivalry, in that it was a rivalry mainly built up by the media, for the media. I met Elijah Wood once, I met Peter Jackson, I met Orlando Bloom, and they’re all really cool. Did we talk about the rivalry? Did we [ever]. Having Rob Pattinson be in both films is quite funny. I’ve never even seen ‘Twilight,’ to be perfectly honest with you, and it’s actually really interesting to me. Being such a central part of the ‘Potter’ thing, being so in the middle of it all, I have no idea how the rest of the world sees the ‘Potter’ franchise, which is why it’s quite interesting for me to watch the ‘Twilight’ franchise explode globally and have some sense of how people must view us.
