Charles ‘Bubba’ Smith has gone to the great big field in the sky. The NFL great turned ‘Police Academy’ star was found dead in his L.A. home on Wednesday.
More loss is being reported this morning. ‘Jackass’ alumnus, Ryan Dunn, was killed in car crash.
Bam Margera confirmed the unfortunate news this morning. Dunn and a friend, currently being identified as Zac Hartwell, wrecked in Pennsylvania around 3 A.M. The 34 year old’s Porsche busted across a guardrail in West Goshen and hit a tree. TMZ mentions that the car became engulfed in flames and was towed hours later.

Justin Bieber is having a breakdown and going to go Britney Spears crazy according to the rag. His demanding schedule is proving too much for the 16 year old to handle. Between work, promotion and fame the Enquirer claims he has lost 10 pounds due to the stress and collapsed before a show last month. A doctor blamed exhaustion for his bouts of passing out. To add fuel to the fire, The Bieb canceled a show at the New York State Fair in August because he had run his body down to the point of being seriously sick.
A source told the publication (Via MTV UK): “Justin couldn’t go on. He hit the bed and virtually passed out. I think he was wiped out physically and mentally. He crashed. The vicious work treadmill finally caught up with Justin the night he canceled. He gives every show his all, but he suddenly got light-headed and very woozy. He had to go to bed because he felt dizzy. The kid is seriously fatigued.”
Why is does he look perfectly fine when cameras are around? “He puts on a brave face” says NE’s source.
“He’s still weak, and doctors insist that he rest more or else he risks another collapse. But he can’t – or won’t – because he doesn’t want to disappoint his mom, his manager or his fans.”
Bieber is due to make his VMA debut at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. Despite being so sick that he must be feed with a eye dropper like a premature kitten (just a guess as to what the rag was going to say next), he has been Twitttering his excitement and attending rehearsals without any problems.

Oh kittens! Let us light a thousand candles in a vigil for Rue McClanahan. The fiercest ho on the “Golden Girls” suffered a stroke shortly after undergoing a heart bypass surgery.
Via America’s Globe Magazine Per Contact Music:
“The 75 year old collapsed in a New York hospital a week after undergoing surgery.
Doctors worked around the clock to remove a blood clot, but feared they’d failed to save MCClanahan’s life.Wilson says, “Then, her right leg began to move and, not long afterward, she was able to walk a bit.
“They kept her in ICU (intensive care) for two weeks and then put her into the rehab centre. She’s come out of that and is now in a nursing facility.”
While we are all very thankful she has survived the stroke, it has taken a toll on the actress.
“Wilson, who has been married to MCClanahan for 12 years, adds, “She can understand what you are saying in conversation, but still has some trouble speaking. Her speech is slower than it once was and she hasn’t completely recovered on the right side of her body.”

Let us hope that this is just dribble at the hands of the National Enquirer. The rag has claimed that Dennis Hopper has given up in his fight against cancer and is telling friends that he is “ready to die.”
“Dennis has come to grips with the fact that the end is likely near. He knew going into the last weeks of filming Crash that he was on borrowed time. His doctors had told him they were no longer able to contain the disease, and his condition had severely worsened.”
Hopper has been battling prostate cancer. He was reportedly diagnosed in September of 2009. The word is that it has spread to his bones and the experimental treatment he tried is not working.
I have my fingers crossed that all of this is entirely false. Best wishes for Dennis and his family.
One of Miley Cyrus’ tour buses was part of a deadly crash that took place this morning in Virginia on I-85 just outside of Richmond, leaving the driver dead and nine others with minor injuries. Cyrus and her tour were in a 4-vehicle caravan when one of the buses overturned. Police are not yet sure if the driver died prior to the crash, prompting the bus to flip, or died as a result of the crash. Miley was reportedly not on board the bus during the crash.
Per TMZ:
Miley’s manager tell us, “It was one of our tour buses, but not Miley’s. It was one of our buses that transported our lighting crew.”
The bus carrying Miley’s 14 member concert production crew is the bus believed to be the one she usually travels in. Officials say the road was still wet from overnight rain, and a man at the scene claims the bus appears to have drifted off the road for a long distance before finally flipping over, sliding into a ditch. According to Cyrus’s website, she is scheduled to perform in Greensboro, NC on Sunday. No word if that will still be happening. More details on the crash are still pending.
This sounds just awful. Our condolences to the family of the deceased as well as everyone else affected.

Despite the dinnertime shrieks of “OMG Zach Braff killed himself! I read it on Twitter!” that you might have heard, the actor is very much alive and well! Reports that the “Scrubs” actor had died of an apparent suicide have been spreading like wild fires yesterday, with the news even being reported on a fake CNN site and becoming a top trending topic on Twitter. The headline of the article said “Beloved Scrubs Actor Found Dead In His Home” and claimed he was found with an empty pill bottle by his side. The news of Braff’s so-called death was first reported on the hoax CNN page, which actually looked quite genuine, while another article appeared claiming that Braff had died while shooting a film in New Zealand. Thankfully, these turned out to be not true. However, if you did a little browsing on the fake CNN page it clearly gave away the hoax – all of the “top stories” on the right hand side were from 2007. Braff posted a video on Monday to his personal Facebook page, disputing the claim and calling out the person behind it.

“There was a big Internet rumor today that I was dead … that I OD’d on some pills. It’s not the case, I’m here at ‘Scrubs’ shooting the new ‘Scrubs’ title sequence, which is a little bit like dying, so I guess that was semi-accurate. A couple of inaccuracies you should have noticed when you saw the thing, if you believed it — the dude said I was found in my 32,000 square foot estate in Beverly Hills – but I’m not Oprah! That’s a big house! I just want to say to the douchebag who started this: You win my first ever douche of the day award for making my mom upset!”
Chris Laganella of New Jersey seems to be the lucky winner of that award. He has since removed the fake CNN page post and replaced it with an apology and explanation that I don’t quite understand. Laganella writes that he made the spoof page in 2007 for friends and fellow fans of “Scrubs,” but somehow it was made public without his knowledge.

Thanks for (apparently) taking it lightly, since I haven’t gotten a letter about a lawsuit yet. Just so you know, I’m a huge fan; that’s the only reason I made this page, believe it or not. Also, sorry for upsetting your mother.”
There’s a new one of these fake troll-inspired death rumors every week. I think only school kids are fooled by it any more. Sometimes it’s the oddest celebs, which the pranksters do on purpose to make it more believable. While we’ve debunked this one, its only a matter of time before the next one pops up.

Poor Jessica Simpson, she has definitely had a hard yearL… not only has she gotten backlash about her weight gain and her country music career, but to make matters worse, her ex-boyfriend Tony Romo kicked her to the curb for a look-a-like, Chace Crawford’s sister…for you “Gossip Girl” fans. She has also allegedly crawled back to the arms of John Mayer after Nick Lachey got back cozy with his ex Vanessa Minnillo (that sure was fast). Now her dog has been reported to have been “kidnapped” by a coyote.
Jessica’s 5-year-old caramel-colored Malti-poo, Daisy (if you watched the show “Newlyweds,” Daisy was a gift given to Jessica by Nick) was reported to have been snatched right in front of Jessica by a coyote near her Los Angeles home.
Since the incident Jessica has taken to her twitter account twittering:
“My heart is broken because a coyote took my precious Daisy right in front of our eyes. HORROR! We are searching. Hoping. Please help!”
Fans, upon hearing the news, sent an out pour of sympathy and well wishes to the distraught singer. Even her brother-in-law Pete Wentz had words of encouragement for her twittering:
“Keep your head up. Were thinking of you.”
In addition, she is also offering an award for anyone who can reunite her with her pooch; not really sure she understood what the coyote would be doing with the dog when it took her… I mean, what does she think Wiley Coyote has her little doggy hostage???
You have to feel for the girl… I think this might be the hardest hit she took this year and I am guessing she can’t wait until her show “The Price of Beauty” takes her somewhere where they do harm to coyotes for beauty. Or at least add some fur to her Fall shoe line.
