Celebrity Reactions to the Death of DJ AM, Adam Goldstein

Its with heavy hearts that we must announce the passing of another musical artist. Adam Goldstein, more famously known as DJ AM, was found dead in his New York City apartment on Friday afternoon. The cause of death is still unknown at this time but a source claims drug paraphernalia, such as a pipe commonly used to smoke drugs, and prescription drug bottles were found in the apartment next to his body.

Celebrities are taking to their personal Twitter pages to send out their condolences and thoughts about Goldstein.

Per TMZ:

John Mayer: In complete shock.

Lindsay Lohan: i can’t believe this.. i’m in shock. why? why? r.i.p. adam.

Alyssa Milano: May you rest in peace, Adam. You touched many with your light and will be missed like crazy.

Ryan Seacrest: So sad the hear about adam. a very kind and generous guy.

Dr. Drew: I lack the words to describe my feelings.

Ashton Kutcher: much love to my boy AM.

Soliel Moon Frye: Thank you for bringing so much music and inspiration to peoples lives. Rip Dj Am.

Heidi Montag: my thoughts and prayers are with DJ AM’s family and friends.

Shanna Moakler: My deepest condolences for DJ AM, you were a great artist and will be severely missed. My thoughts and Prayers to his family and friends.

A friend reportedly arrived at Adam’s apartment to check on him after not hearing from him for a few days, but got no response after knocking on his door. The friend then called the police, who entered and found his body. He was only 36 years old. His last public appearance was this past Sunday at Citi Field in NYC where he threw out the first pitch at a Mets game. He last updated his personal Twitter on Tuesday with a chilling lyric from the opening line to the famous Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five song “New York, New York.”

Per DJ AM’s Twitter:

“New york, new york. Big city of dreams, but everything in new york aint always what it seems.”

Goldstein had previously been battling drug addiction and even had a show on the MTV network to help out those who were struggling with drugs. He was very popular on the celebrity circuit as he was frequently booked for high profile parties and celebrations. Goldstein was once engaged to Nicole Richie and also dated Mandy Moore on and off for several years. A year ago, he suffered severe burns when the Learjet carrying him and Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker crashed near a runway in South Carolina, killing 4 people, heading to California.

Tonight Goldstein was supposed to be deejaying at Rain in Las Vegas, Nevada. No additional details regarding Adam Goldstein’s death have been revealed, as the story is still developing. Our deepest sympathies and condolences go out to his family and friends during this tragic time.

OK Magazine’s Michael Jackson Death Cover Not OK

Looking for the final picture of Michael Jackson? Then by all means, run out and purchase OK Magazine. You won’t find the picture here. We at Hollywood Dame are well aware of the fact that we lack all morals, but still, we manage to have enough class to draw the line. And we’ve found the line.

OK Magazine shelled out a reported $500,000 for a picture of Jackson lying on a stretcher and possibly dead, much to the chagrin of those who work for the magazine and even more to the dismay of the mag’s advertisers who are now pulling out faster than the guy who chose to go condomless with Paris Hilton.

Celebrities are also expressing anger towards the magazine’s poor cover decision.

“In addition, Sean Combs and Jay-Z are said to be so furious they’re organizing a boycott, according to our source.”

Unfortunately however, reps for both OK Magazine and Combs are denying the boycott is taking place. However, the Dames are launching our own boycott of the magazine. Never again will OK grace the back of the toilet in our ladie’s loo.

Farrah Fawcett Funeral – Photos

Dear Jackson Family: Please take note on how to handle a public figure’s funeral.

“Charlie’s Angels” star Farrah Fawcett was laid to rest yesterday in Los Angeles. The star was only 62 when she lost her battle with cancer.

Among those in attendance at her funeral were actors Ernie Hudson and Gary Shandling, along with her “Charlie’s Angels” co-stars Jaclyn Smith , Kate Jackson, and Cheyl Ladd. Her long-time love and former husband, Ryan O’Neal delivered the 23rd Pslam while the LA Department of Corrections allowed the couple’s son, Redmond, out of jail long enough to attend his mother’s service. Redmond O’Neal is currently serving time for a drug offense.

“Although this is an extremely difficult time for her family and friends, we take comfort in the beautiful times that we shared with Farrah over the years and the knowledge that her life brought joy to so many people around the world,” Ryan O’Neal told Us after Fawcett’s death.

Farrah passed last Thursday hours before Michael Jackson’s death was announced. The Jackson family is currently planning a public memorial service for Michael. This service is set for Tuesday.

And now, the liars have taken it a step too far by reporting that my first boo, Rick Astley, is dead.

“There’s a purported Associated Press release doing the rounds on the internet stating that Rick Astley is dead. The release is very well done, it’s in the house style, it looks real. However, it didn’t actually appear on the Associated Press wire itself. It’s only circulating second hand.”

Don’t worry-he’s alive and well. The original story, which stated the “Never Gonna Give You Up” singer was found dead in a Berlin hotel room, has since been taken off the internet. A sure sign it was a fake.

Michael Jackson’s Autopsy Results – Rumor

Reports of supposed autopsy results for singer Michael Jackson are making their way around the World Wide Web. According to the documents, Jackson’s body was emaciated and bald at the time of his death.

Via The New York Post:

“He was skin and bone, his hair had fallen out, and he had been eating nothing but pills when he died. Injection marks all over his body and the disfigurement caused by years of plastic surgery show he’d been in terminal decline for some years. There were four fresh injections around his heart, presumably from attempts to pump adrenaline into it to jumpstart it.”

Though the report seems plausible given the condition the pop icon was last seen in, other sources are reporting that the autopsy results are a fake.

“We’ve learned the story making the rounds detailing the terrible condition of Michael Jackson’s body is a fake. A report in The Sun gave harrowing details of the body, but we’ve learned the ‘autopsy report’ was fabricated and completely false.”

I don’t who to believe Kittens. Though I hate to admit it, TMZ was the first to accurately report Jackson’s passing.

These new rumors come only a day after Joe Jackson and daughter Janet made an appearance at the BET Awards. Though choked-up, Janet managed to state the following:

Farrah Fawcett in Intensive Care-Last Rites Given – UPDATED

It appears that Charlie’s hottest angel, Farrah Fawcett has taken a turn for the worst. Fawcett has made her battle with cancer public, especially in the last few weeks. And now, it appears the star’s days are few.

“Extra has learned that Fawcett is now in the intensive care unit at the hospital, joined by longtime love Ryan O’Neal. Mela Murphy, Fawcett’s friend and hairdresser of 18 years who has described her as ‘fearless,’ is at Farrah’s bedside, along with Alana Stewart. Extra has also learned that a priest has been called in — Farrah has always been a devout Catholic.”

Rumor has it the priest has been asked to deliver Fawcett with her last rites. Fawcett’s long-time love, Ryan O’Neal, announced a few days ago that he and Fawcett planned to remarry.

Our hearts are with Farrah and her loved ones at this difficult time. We all continue to hope for a miracle.

UPDATE: Farrah Fawcett has died at the young age of 62. The “Charlie’s Angel” starlet passed away at 12:28 this afternoon. She was surrounded by her loved ones, longtime partner Ryan O’Neal, friend Alana Stewart, friend and hairdresser Mela Murphy.

“She’s gone. She now belongs to the ages,” O’Neal tells PEOPLE, also confirming that she received last rites. “She’s now with he mother and sister and her God. I loved her with all my heart. I will miss her so very, very much. She was in and out of consciousness. I talked to her all through the night. I told her how very much I loved her. She’s in a better place now. “She was with her team when she passed … Her eyes were open, but she didn’t say anything. But you could see in her eyes that she recognized us.”

Ed McMahon Dead at 86

It’s a sad day kittens. Johnny Carson’s faithful sidekick has passed away. Ed McMahon has gone to the great big publishers clearing house in the sky.

McMahon died just after midnight this morning (Tuesday). He was at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center after suffering from what his rep says were “multitude of health problems the last few months.” MSNBC reports the beloved 86 year old was surrounded by his family in his last moments.

Our deepest condolences go out to the loved ones of McMahon.

Ninjas Accused In Death Of David Carradine

No, this title is not a joke. Mark Gregaros, lawyer for late actor David Carradine are asking FBI officials to look into the actor’s recent death.

As we reported here last week, Carradine was found dead in his Thai hotel room. He was discovered by a hotel maid with rope around his neck and man bits. Carradine’s lawyers and family refuse to believe that Carradine simply forgot his “safe word” during a sex game and insist that foul play is afoot. Furthermore, they believe ninjas may be responsible for his death.

“Mark and David’s family has begged the FBI to travel to Thailand to take over the investigation, because they believe that NINJAS might have made his death look like an accident. Mark said, ‘David was very interested in investigating and disclosing secret societies.’”

This comes on the heels of a Thai paper releasing photos of what is believed to be Carradine’s body at the crime scene. The person’s face in the pictures is blacked-out. Gregaros has threatened to sue if the photo is released anywhere else.

All calls Hollywood Dame made to Michaelangelo, Donatello, Leonardo, and Raphael for comment were not returned.

David Carradine Found Dead

In a terrible twist of shocking news, David Carradine was found dead in his hotel room this morning.

The 72 year old “Kill Bill” star was in Bangkok filming his latest movie. Filming began on June 2nd and when he didn’t show up for dinner on June 3rd the crew and friends assumed he was just resting in his room at Park Nai Lert Hotel.

A hotel maid stumbled upon Carradine around 10 a.m. this morning half nude and bound in rope. One report by BBC states that rope was around his neck and “other parts of his body.” (Everyone experiments so don’t judge.) Most are reporting that he committed suicide. However, questions are being presented and an official cause of death has not been established.

He had been found in a closet which leads me to believe that this wasn’t suicide. Police are leaning towards suicide and say that he had been dead for more than 12 hours and could find no sign of fighting or assault. They also stated that he had been hung by a cord from the room’s curtains. Meanwhile his agent insists that he “was full of life, always wanting to work… a great person.”

What a terrible tragedy and a great loss. Our thoughts and condolences go out to his loved ones.

T.R. Knight Killed Off Grey’s Anatomy, Katherine Heigl Remains

This is complete crap. Annoyingly snobby Katherine Heigl will continue to lurk in dark corners and chain smoke on “Grey’s Anatomy.” Meanwhile, T.R. Knight’s character of loveable George O’Malley is said to be dead. The season finale (SPOLIER ALERT) left Heigl and Knight’s characters hanging by a thread. It was since rumored that at least one of the two would indeed die. Both actors have wanted out of the show for lack of screen time and playing second fiddle to their costars.

Katherine put her name in for the Emmy race this year after snubbing the awards last year citing poor writing by the staff of the show. However, this year was apparently up to her par and she is hopeful to get another Emmy nod. This leads common sense to believe that she will be staying. It would be a stupid move to chase an award from a show you are leaving.

E! Online reports that T.R. is finally out of his contract and sources are squealing that he will not return.

“Multiple sources tell me that T.R. Knight will not be returning to Grey’s Anatomy next season. I’m told that tension between Knight and show creator Shonda Rhimes has become unbearable for both.”

However, the character’s fate might still be up in the air. Theories contrasting the report by E! claim that George will live, but not be played by Knight. After being crushed and dragged by a bus, the rumors of a plastic surgery makeover could give way to a new actor taking the role of George. Doubtful, but possible.

Regardless, I kinda wish Izzy would have gotten hit by a bus.
