Elton John is in the works for a larger than life biopic and already has designs on who should play the Piano Man himself: Justin Timberlake. Timberlake played John in the David LaChapelle video of ‘Rocket Man’ and also in the video for ‘This Train Don’t Stop Here Anymore’.

I love me some Elton John. I also love me some Gaga despite the fact she watches baseball games practically nude and throws temper tantrums if her seat isn’t pleasing. (I may or may not be guilty of the same instance, but my mishap may or may not have involved a stealing a mascot.)
Elton hit Saturday Night Live last weekend and revealed that Lady Gaga was his son’s Godmother during his dialogue.
“For those of you concerned that we are unusual parents, don’t worry. It’s not like we are the only two people involved in the child’s life. His godmother is Lady Gaga. That is true. It’s not a joke. Lady Gaga is his actual godmother, which is ironic, because I’ve always said that Mars ain’t the kind of place to raise your kids. And Gaga loves Mars. She says Mars has good schools and great discos.”
Most thought it was just a joke, but he meant what he said. “It’s not a joke.” Gaga also sidestepped the question just before her ‘Born This Way’ radio premiere.
“I don’t really want to reveal anything. They’re going to make many lovely announcements about their beautiful son Zachary. I’m too much of a lady to talk about that on the air.”

‘Glee’s’ Matthew Morrison’s First Single Debuts

‘Glee’s’ Matthew Morrison released his first single “Summer Rain” on Ryan Seacrest’s morning radio show off of his upcoming album and it’s all about having sex in the rain on a rooftop! I dare you to make it through the entire song without convulsing in laughter.
Per People:
When Seacrest noted the song wasn’t as “poppy” as some of the Glee cast’s offerings, Morrison agreed. “I want to stay a little bit away from Glee,” he said, adding that he believed to “be taken seriously, I had to write my own songs” – which he did.
Morrison will perform the song live on ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno‘ on April 6th, and on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show‘ on April 11th. The song was co-written by Morrison along with Claude Kelly and the production duo Espionage, who brought you Train’s “Hey, Soul Sister,” among many other singles. This ode to a very R-rated public display of affection has sort of a feel good Jack Johnson style vibe. His new CD will be released in May, featuring a duet with Elton John and “old school soul”. Elton John: Lady Gaga Will Obliterate ‘I Will Survive’ Anthem

In the issue of Rolling Stone hitting stands on Friday, Elton John makes several grand statements about his inner circle. Lady Gaga shared her new album with the new father and John thinks she has history making music on her hands. John is adamant her single will topple one of the most iconic songs belted out by Gloria Gaynor.
“I’ve heard her new album,” John says. “It’s amazing. The first single, ‘Born This Way,’ is the anthem that’s going to obliterate ‘I Will Survive.’ I can’t think of how huge it’s going to be.”
He also calls out his friend Billy Joel for his problems with alcohol and drugs.
“He’s going to hate me for this, but every time he goes to rehab they’ve been light,” John says. “When I went to rehab, I had to clean the floors. He goes to rehab where they have TVs. I love you, Billy, and this is tough love. Billy, you have your demons and you’re not going to get rid of them at rehab light. You’ve got to be serious. People adore you, they love you and respect you. You should be able to do something better than what you’re doing now.”
Joel has received treatment for his alcohol and substance abuse problems several times. In 2002 he checked into a treatment center in Connecticut. In March of 2005 he spent 30 days in the Betty Ford Clinic.
In the issue Elton also mentions his unlikely, but lasting friendship with Eminem. The two still speak on the phone and has remained an unmovable force in Em’s recovery.
“We call each other c*nts,” John says. “He’s worked really hard at sobriety and it’s changed him so much. He’s also got a great sense of humor. When David and I had our civil partnership, he sent us a present. In a case, on velvet cushions, were to diamond cock rings. So there’s a homophobe for you [laughs].”
Another friend made the cut for Elton’s praise in the interview.
‘Glee’ Star Matthew Morrison Duets With Elton John

Back in October, it was announced that Elton John would join forces with ‘Glee‘s‘ Matthew Morrison on Morrison’s debut album. But with a tour, a new CD with Leon Russell, executive producing and providing music for ‘Gnomeo & Juliet,’ AND a new baby, Elton’s schedule was a little busy. On Monday he finally made it into the studio with Morrison to record a mash-up (something which Morrison’s Mr. Schuester character would have been proud) of two classic Elton John/Bernie Taupin tunes, ‘Mona Lisas & Madhatters‘ and ‘Rocket Man.’
Per Parade:
“I just did it! It’s a duet. It’s great, really fantastic. He sings great on it,” says John.

Sir Elton John and David Furnish Have a Baby

This shiz needs to be a reality show. It’s like the best version of ‘My Two Dads’ EVER.
Sir Elton John and David Furnish have welcomed their baby to the world on Christmas Day. They used a surrogate to pop out their new baby friend and named him Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John. (I was really hoping for something like Fiericio Von ManiPedi.)
“We are overwhelmed with happiness and joy at this very special moment. Zachary is healthy and doing really well, and we are very proud and happy parents.”
Most people are clutching their pearls and gasping because Elton is one of village elders and they seem to think that he is too old to raise a child. I give them mah bitch please look. How many of those teenage tricks crapping out kids are better fit to be parents? Plus…if the Kardashians are allowed to breed then monkeys should be allowed to raise children.
I say congrats to Elton and David.

Eminem Likes To Write Music WHERE?!

Eminem is spilling a lot in the new ‘Rolling Stone‘ Magazine issue where he graces the cover. He talks about losing a ton of weight for a movie, Elton John helping him with his sobriety, and his favorite place to write music.
Per E! Online:
“I think we do most of our best thinking on the sh-tter. What else do you have to do in there besides think?”
Hmm. Good point. Eminem also reveals he was once so obsessed with his weight that his ideal body was that of Christian Bale in “The Machinist,” a role for which the actor lost a lot of weight, becoming virtually a shadow of his former self. He also dishes some details about his unofficial “sponsor” Sir Elton John and how he was the first person he called when he realized the drugs were killing him and he needed to break the addiction circle.
“He usually calls me once a week to check on me, just to make sure I’m on the up-and-up. He was actually one of the first people I called when I wanted to get clean.”

Lady Gaga Debuts New Song “You And I” at Elton John Benefit – VIDEO

After much talk about Lady Gaga’s nearly completed follow-up album, the world got it’s first taste of some new material from the pop superstar at her performance at Elton John’s White Tie and Tiara Ball last Thursday. While seated at one of her signature deconstructed pianos, Gaga told the crowd: “This is a brand-new record that no one’s ever heard before. And I’ve never, ever played it live, ever.” Gaga goes on to describe the new song, titled “You and I,” as “a bit of a rock n roll tune.” Check out “You and I” in the video below.
Lady Gaga begins the summer North American leg of the nearly sold out “Monster Ball Tour” today in Montreal, with support act Semi Precious Weapons who release their own debut album “You Love You” tomorrow (read about that here.)
