Emmy Nominations 2010

It will be a ‘Glee‘ and Betty White filled Emmy night. Fox’s vocally gifted golden child earned 19 nods while my second favorite Golden Girl also earned a nomination. Betty will compete (who am I kidding? *will win*) for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series as host of ‘Saturday Night Live.’ This is her 20th Emmy nomination. ‘Glee’ has some competition in three major categories as ’30 Rock’ and ‘The Office’ are contending for Outstanding Comedy, Lead Actor in a Comedy and Lead Actress in a Comedy. Conan O’Brien was also recognized and given a nomination while Jay Leno walked away empty handed.

You can catch the Emmy Awards on Sunday August 29th at 8PM EST/5 PM PT on NBC.

Emmy Nominations 2009, Katherine Heigl Snubbed

61st-emmy-nominations-2009

Oh, sweet justice is served. Katherine Why-Is-She-Still-Around Heigl was snubbed from the 2009 Emmy run. If you recall, last year she refused to submit her name for an Emmy citing poor writing and character development by the show’s minions. This year the Emmy’s are returning the favor and citing the chain smoking snobbery. (Well, it is just assumed.)

This year, “Mad Men” is feeling the love with nominations in Best Drama Series, Best Actor in a Drama Series (Jon Hamm) and Best Actress in a Drama Series (Elisabeth Moss). Other members of “Grey’s Anatomy” received nods and the resurrected “Family Guy” even was deemed worthy of a chance of an Emmy.

Ouch. How much does it suck that cartoon overflowing with sex jokes is more worthy of an award than you?

Katherine Heigl Goes FULL Diva

Katherine Heigl is apparently a diva extraordinaire! According to Perez Hilton, Heigl has moved from “difficult” to “diva” with her demands on her new project “Five Killers”.

“She’s had a appointments with us – from camera tests to fittings – that she just hasn’t shown up to and has been making herself unavailable. She and her mother [her manager] even had the audacity to request that wardrobe people go to her. We accommodated that request and she flaked on the meeting.”

All Heigl needs to do now is start doing drugs and get a girlfriend and she could be the next Lindsay Lohan! But seriously, what is she thinking. This is absurd behavior and she is burning bridges everywhere she goes. First she badmouths “Grey’s Anatomy” writer Shonda Rhimes‘ by not accepting an Emmy nomination, then she badmouths Knocked Up“, which made her a star.

My prediction? She is going to be unemployable within the next year. No one wants to work with a diva who turns on you after the project is finished and bites you. Heigl–get your act together!
