Nicki Minaj Joins Britney Spears’ Tour

Since Enrique Iglesias hit ESC key on Britney Spears because he was rumored to have a gigantic ego/wanted more cash, Brit’s camp has been in negotiations to replace her opening act. Technically they will be “co-headlining,” but Nicki Minaj is officially touring with Spears on her Femme Fatale tour.
Most TMZ suggests that fans seem to think Minaj is a far better choice than Enrique and are happy to hear of the replacement. Nicki is currently on tour with Lil Wayne until the end of April, but will be ready for the launch of Spears’ tour on June 17th. (Click HERE for more tour dates and city stops…)
They could have replaced him with a can of soup and this will still be a sold out tour. Brit stans will pay top dollar to watch her sit on a box and flap her jaws to a pre-recorded song about a bass swelling. Alas, I could be wrong. While the reviews are decent, projections for the album are low. Pair that with body doubles doing most of the dancing for Britney’s videos and you get my what’s the point? shrug.
Britney Spears’ Tour is in Trouble!

Tickets for Britney Spears ‘Femme Fatale’ tour were supposed to start going on sale this weekend, but those plans have been scrapped for now. Every since she went on Good Morning America to announce her tour things have been going wrong.
First of all she was supposed to tour with Enrique Iglesias, but he pulled out and decided to do his own tour. Then there were talks of Nicki Minaj touring with Britney, but nothing has come of that so far. With no opening act, Britney isn’t feeling her tour and it could end up being postponed or even cancelled. Her tour was supposed to kick off June 17th, but that’s all up in the air right now after Britney talked to her managers and expressed a concern.
Per The Sun:
A source said: “Britney has told her management that she wants to push back her concert dates because she’s not feeling ready. She doesn’t feel she has enough time to prepare and has asked management to pull all her dates and postpone everything until later on in the year. She’s a perfectionist and wants everything to be better than ever before.”
What’s there to get ready for – Put on a glittery outfit, strap on a microphone to make it look like you’re actually singing, and hire some dancers to distract from your lifeless flailing around on stage! So will she or won’t she head out on tour? And I wonder if her sudden hesitation has anything to do with the news she’s planning on getting married this year? Hhmmm…

‘Jersey Shore’ Star DJ Pauly D to Open for Britney Spears on Tour ?!

We’re all super excited for Britney Spears’ upcoming North American tour, but we’re also losing our minds while we wait to find out who will be joining her. It’s been a busy week for Britney and the question still remains – Now that Enrique Iglesias has officially backed out, just who will join her on tour?! A new name has been thrown into the mix along with Nicki Minaj’s and he will definitely bring the beats – You’re favorite fist pumping DJ of course, DJ Pauly D!

Although there is no official confirmation just yet, it is believed the deal will/has been sealed since the “Jersey Shore” star and the “Hold It Against Me” hitmaker share the same manager Larry Rudolph. Also, he previously served as a DJ for her Las Vegas concert.
Today the web has lit up with the rumor that DJ Pauly D has been booked as an opening act. The two recently performed in a surprise performance at Las Vegas’ Club Rain – but could you picture the Pauly D and Brit Brit hitting the road together? DJ Pauly D will be in Italy next month taping Season 4, so he won’t be able to commit to the full tour.
Pauly D is no Enrique, but he definitely can bring the beats and the party!

Nicki Minaj to Tour with ‘Zombie’ Britney Spears ?!

Brit’s team has been trying to lock down a replacement opening act for Spears’ ‘Here’s a Hip Pop With a Hair Flip Now Can I Has a Grande Frapp With Extra Whip?’ tour. TMZ reports that Nicki Minaj is currently the front runner to co-headline.
However, The Sun (via M&C) is afraid that Britney will go head shavin’ crazy again before she can start her tour. A “source” told the paper that Brit is as delicate as a ceramic kitten and running on medications and cheese grits.
“She’s very fragile. Up until a few months ago she was still heavily medicated and popping up to ten pills a day. It’s like she has to be wheeled from one place to another. She can’t be trusted to do anything on her own. Whether she is performing or recording it’s the same. Sometimes she’s like a zombie. Her mood swings are unreal too. It is four years since she famously cut off all her hair and hit rock bottom. But as recently as last year she was still pulling the same stunt – hacking her hair off with scissors when she wanted attention from her staff and loved ones at home.’
Remember that little diddy came from The Sun and I am guessing that their “source” was paid in pork pies.

Enrique Iglesias Apologizes for Ditching Britney Spears Tour

So it’s a done deal. Enrique Iglesias will not be touring with Britney Spears like she announced on Tuesday. He was pitched to be a co-headliner meaning both Brit and Enrique would be equals on the bill. But once Britney made the announcement on ‘Good Morning America‘ Enrique began having second thoughts. There was speculation he was pulling out of the tour because of ticket prices being so high. (Tickets for this tour start at a whopping $96!!!) But sources close to Enrique say it had something to do with his ego.
Basically after the tour was announced he realized he was playing second fiddle to Britney. He agreed to co-headline and not be the opening act. I can’t say I blame him. Britney puts on a great show, but we all know she doesn’t sing at her concerts, so I can see why Enrique would be against being the opening act for someone who doesn’t even sing live.
He took to his twitter account to apologize for the confusion with the tour.
Hey guys, sorry for the confusion regarding a possible tour in the summer with Britney Spears. We are on the Euphoria tour and will continue to do so including some soon-to-be-announced dates in US. So hope to see all of you soon.
As he said he does plan on touring a bit here in the US. So if you were hoping to see Enrique’s hotness there’s still the chance! But where’s the apology to Britney herself for leaving her with egg on her face?

WHY Enrique Iglesias Bailed on Britney Spears

Just hours after Britney Spears announced that she would be touring with Enrique Iglesias on ‘Good Morning America,’ he bailed on her. While her concert series was airing on tv, Enrique was in full bitch panic mode and backing out of the tour. (Click HERE to see Britney’s GMA Performance…)
Despite weeks of attorneys and agents ironing out details and making sure both Spears and Iglesias were happy with the arrangements, the ‘I Like It’ singer decided he didn’t want to be Brit’s opening act. Sources told TMZ that it is all his ego and he doesn’t want to be second fiddle.
“Enrique was burning up the phone lines and the Internet, engaging various people connected with the tour in lengthy conversations in which he made it clear — he was, in reality, Britney’s opening act and he wanted out. One source says the deal was actually very favorable to Enrique … “great terms and great placement.” But we’re told it all came down to taking the stage before Brit — too much to handle.”
Other “sources” say it’s a money issue. Billboard is told that it’s a problem of whether Iglesias would receive a percentage of the “back end” profit or box office receipts in addition to a per-show payment. Either way, Britney would earn several times more than whatever Enrique made.

Britney Spears’ Spring Concert Series aired this morning on ‘Good Morning America.’ Her performance lacked the pre-meltdown pizzazz of The Brit-Brit, but it goes without saying that she flapped her jaws in a bodysuit while her music played.

Anna Kournikova showed up to a tennis match this weekend, sporting what looks like a baby bump. At times, she hid the bump well. At other times, not so much. And she appeared to not even bother hiding her alleged baby bump this weekend as she was leaving the gym.

Anna Kournikova was looking pretty damn pregnant Sunday as she left a gym in Miami. My god, can you imagine if Enrique Iglesias actually knocked her up? They’re both so damn good looking, when Anna opened her legs for the obstetrician, a pair of white doves would probably fly out.
So is there a baby, or is the rounder belly the after effects from a large cheeseburger at lunch? If it’s true – Congratulations — Although the pregnancy may never be confirmed, just like Kournikova and Iglesias’ marriage. Tennis Star Jennifer Capriati Overdose

Former teen tennis sensation, Jennifer Capriati was rushed to a Florida hospital yesterday with signs of an apparent overdose.
Though no information has been released regarding Capritati’s condition, TMZ spoke with her father who stated she is expected to recover.
“TMZ spoke with Jennifer’s father who tells us she’s recovering well.”
Capriati won 14 titles in her career, three of which were grand slams. She also won the gold medal in the 1992 Olympic Games.
