Taylor Swift Covers Eminem – VIDEO

I love Taylor Swift – I cannot wait for her to come to my city in November with her ‘Speak Now‘ tour. She recently stopped in Michigan and played a cover of Eminem! (To be honest, she actually made Eminem’s song sound pretty cute…)

Ashlee Simpson Dating Pete Wentz Friend ?!

It’s the new Mr. Simpson! Ok, well not exactly, but it’s another musician Ashlee Simpson seems to be fond of. The short of it is: His name is Craig Owens and he was working with Ashlee’s soon-to-be ex husband Pete Wentz. He has been in a number of bands you may or may not have heard of and has had some troubles in the past but apparently is pretty talented or at least that is what Pete said prior to seeing him shopping with Ashlee where he reportedly was tucking his arm around her shoulders and leaning over to give her a smooch on the lips. What ever happened to people taking some time after a break-up before hooking up with someone new?

In January of last year, Pete told MTV News that Owens, who is signed to Wentz’s Decaydence label, was his favorite new artist. Then Wentz even tweeted to that in February they “will be partners in crime soon.” But in June last year he denied rumors that Owens was joining his post-Fall Out Boy band Black Cards. Pete did say, however, that Owens had some “amazing new songs”. But this was all BEFORE Owens was seen doing a little ‘canoodling’ at the mall with Ashlee recently.

Per Us:

“Pete did a lot for this guy,” a Wentz source tells UsMagazine.com. “Craig was in another band and got kicked out. Pete found Craig, built a band around him and signed him. He’s shocked at how this guy is repaying him.”

They’ve only been separated a month and nothing is even legal yet -As if Pete’s life isn’t difficult enough, not he has to see his protege get some serious face time with his wife. Definitely a bitch move on her part! But a source close to Ashlee says reports of a romance with Owens are just not true, claiming the whole over-used ‘just a friend who is comforting her through this difficult time’ excuse. The divorce is on and that is all we have for now but this guy very well may have been the culprit. Hasn’t he ever heard of ‘The Bro-Code?’

Hollywood Dame Exclusive Interview – Runner Runner

Five distinct personalities joining forces to make one mighty sound — that’s “Runner Runner.” The SoCal band’s self-titled debut album — released through a new partnership with Capitol Records, C.E. Music (a new label formed by David Letterman’s Worldwide Pants Inc.) and Jack Ponti’s MRV label — combines skillful songwriting and musicianship, punk-infused intensity and humungous pop hooks. The entrance that Runner Runner – front man Ryan Ogren, guitarists Nick Bailey and Peter Munters, bassist Jon Berry and drummer James Ulrich – is making on an unsuspecting music scene is in keeping with its name that has its origins in Ogren and Berry’s love of poker: “runner runner” is a poker term that, loosely defined, means “coming out of nowhere and pulling off a winning hand at the last possible moment.”

Veterans to the music industry, bassist Berry was a founding member of the SoCal pop-punk band, Rufio, Ogren was the vocalist/guitarist for New Jersey’s Don’t Look Down, and Munters, Bailey & Ulrich were members of OC’s Over It. They all came together in 2008 to create what is now Runner Runner. The five members are a combination of skillful songwriting and musicianship, punk-infused intensity and songs with humongous hooks with tremendous potential. Having admired each other’s talents and enjoyed each other’s company on numerous occasions as their bands crisscrossed the country on various van tours, the five musicians snapped together like Lego pieces when serendipity presented them with the opportunity to form a band together.

Runner Runner has over eight-million plays on their MySpace, were named a 2009 Band to Watch by Alternative Press, and has performed more than 175 shows on bills with such prominent left-offcenter acts as Fall Out Boy, All Time Low, Gym Class Heroes, Angels & Airwaves, The Higher, The Audition and The White Tie Affair. Theyre also veterans of the festival circuit, appearing in 2009 on the Vans Warped Tour, Bamboozle and Tokyos Punkspring Festival, as well as the Night of Lights Festival and the L.A. Ink Fest during the previous year. The band is currently recording their self-titled debut album in Los Angeles with producer Dave Darling (Stray Cats, Brian Setzer, Soulive), and plan to tour extensively after their album drops later this summer. Their first single, “So Obvious,” will be released to radio on June 15. (Check out “So Obvious” here ) Runner Runner kicked off the first leg of an extensive tour beginning in mid-May, and are currently on tour with Amber Pacific before joining up with Cartel.

I had the chance to speak with Jon about the bands goals, influences, and hobbies. You can read that below.

When did you first realize you had an interest in music and what sparked that interest?

Well for me, my family tells me about that first interest. It was on a family vacation in San Diego when I was 7, watching the bands play on the campground. They say I was intent on watching them. I’ve always been into music. I can remember listening to Michael Jackson, singing to his songs on the radio. I guess in high school is when it really picked up for me, when I started playing music. Its always been a huge passion of mine.

How did you break into the music industry?

Well, we all come from different bands. We used to tour together in Japan and through the states. A few years ago I moved in with Ryan and we started writing and doing songs together.

How would you describe the sound of your music, and what makes you feel like your music is different from other artists in your genre?

I think when you hear it, you’ll know its Runner Runner. The way it sounds it stands out more because our songs are personal. They are lyrically engaging and instrumentally, too. We just like to have fun with our music, but at the same time we draw from personal experiences.

What are some of your plans for promoting your music?

We are all huge internet nerds, so getting our music out that way is one. Another is touring and playing plenty of shows.

Musically speaking,w hat are some of your short term and long term goals?

Short term, to play David Letterman. Long term, just always making and writing music, and promoting it. I also want to have a house in Hawaii. It’d be awesome to make a record there – Go surfing in the morning and writing music in the evening.

Who are some of your musical influences?

Lady Gaga and Tom Petty.

Who are some artist you’d like to work with?

Everybody. It’d be cool to work with some songwriters. Working with Ryan Tedder would be sick. And Coldplay would be sick, too.

How did you come up with the name “Runner Runner?”

‘Runner Runner’ was the surviving name on a dry erase board in the house. We wanted a big name, and we came up with some fun names, like ‘The Boys Team.’ But ‘Runner Runner’ just always stood out.

Where do you get your song inspirations from, lyrically speaking?

The only place you can get them from, through life and personal experiences. We draw from everything around us.

Besides music, what are some of your hobbies and interests?

Nick and I love surfing. We’ve surfed in Japan, Hawaii, California, the East Coast. Just love the beach life, the atmosphere. Other than that, I’d have to say watching movies and coming up with our own comedy skits.

Tell Ryan, Peter, Nick, Jon & James what you think about their music and to find out more about them, head to their MySpace, Facebook, or Twitter pages.

Pete Wentz Shaved Head – Photos and Video

Mark Hoppus, of Blink 182, shaved the head of Pete Wentz on stage during Saturday’s concert. The Fall Out Boy stunned fans by letting Hoppus mow down his emo flat ironed locks during the band’s gig at Madison Square Garden. As Petey cried sad mascara filled tears, the band played on.

I’m sure stocks in Revlon just plummeted.

Fall Out Boy Singer Jailed

Ah, kids these days.

patrick-stump-mug-shot

It seems that Patrick Stump, the lead singer from the band Fall Out Boy, got himself into a bit of trouble last night.

Via TMZ:

“The Fall Out Boy lead singer was busted around midnight on a traffic warrant for driving without a license out of Beverly Hills court.”

Don’t worry emo children, he posted bail and left the clink around 4:30 AM. Hopefully, he has enough funds left to get some Rogain. Really Stump, let the combover go.

Pete Wentz Parties with Strippers – Photos

Let the wrath of Creepy Papa Joe Simpson unleash. Pete Wentz was photographed partying with some strippers.

While in Las Vegas, Pete Wentz was partying with his band, a friends and some hoes. Over 50 people were in attended for the night of debauchery. Pete was reportedly grinding on some strippers and dancing with them on the table. Holly Madison was also said to be in attendance. Meanwhile Ashlee Simpson was at home posting pictures of their baby boy, Bronx Mowgli, on her blog.

Via Star:

“Everybody was going absolutely crazy,” an eyewitness blabs. “People were even drunkenly playing makeshift Slip ‘n’ Slide with a mat and lubricant. And Pete was in great spirits. He was dancing and singing along to his band’s own songs, grinding up against the dancers. At one point he was dancing on a pool table with the girls.”

Apparently Ashlee was there earlier in the day and attended the Fall Out Boy concert. Once she as on her way home she Twittered: “I am beyond sad to leave my love… My heart is breaking as we drive home. I need my hubs.”

Ah, this is all just a matter of missing his wife. I am sure he was just seeking solace in the bosom of his lady friends who were just scantily clad and there in moral support…in their thongs….on the pool table…and drunk. Oh who am I kidding. Dude spanked some strange.

Ashlee Simpson Post Baby Photos

Ashlee Simpson has resurfaced after giving birth to her “Jungle Book” baby, Bronx Mowgli.

Ashlee attended her husband’s concert. She appeared with Pete Wentz at a private Fall Out Boy show at the Troubador club in west Hollywood. Creepy Papa Joe and her mother also tagged along to the concert.

So…wait…does that mean Bronx was left alone with Jessica Simpson? Dear God! Someone get a Mowgli update stat. She has probably put him in the washing machine by now after an attempting at feeding him Hot Pockets got messy.
