Robert Pattinson Shows Up Reese Witherspoon

Robert Pattinson out-shined Reese Witherspoon at the premiere of ‘Water for Elephants.’ He may moan about the angst of legions of fans refusing to give him a moment of peace, but he still remembers them fondly.

An hour before the premiere red carpet event, Page Six reports that Pattinson showed up to spend some time with the masses. His effort to make fans happy made him look like an appreciative celeb while his co-star was MIA. This didn’t sit well with Reese’s people and they refused to let her be out-shined…

Artist Interview – The Script

A little while ago we featured “The Script” on New Music Friday with their video “Breakeven.” (Click HERE to see it!)Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, and consisting of members Danny O’Donoghue, Mark Sheehan, and Glen Power, they are steadily climbing up the popularity charts with their new brand of Celtic soul, blending ‘hip hop lyrical flow with pop melodiousness, state-of-the-art R’n’B production with anthem rock dynamics, classic song construction with gritty contemporary narratives.’ Currently on tour with American Idol’s Season 7 Winner David Cook, they took a few minutes out of their busy schedules to answer a couple questions that many fans have been wanting to know the answers to. Those answers are below – Enjoy!

• What are some of your favorite places you have played?
Croke Park, Dublin, Ireland – Supporting U2. The New Shay Stadium – Cityfield New York. The Warehouse-Houston, Minneapolis-The Fine Line, New York – St. Patricks Day – The Highline Ballroon

• What is one of your most bizarre fan encounters?
We were using the bathroom in a truckstop when a guy came in and said ‘ I dont mean to ask you this now but can I have your autograph? ‘

• Who are some of your inspirations?
Coldplay-U2-Stevie Wonder-Timbaland-Tribe called Quest

• Where do you get your song inspirations from, lyrically speaking?
It can come from anything, anyone or anywhere. It can come from a conversation or a line thats said in a movie we are watching. Our formula is to have no formula, that way we never get stuck.

• How did you come up with the name for your band?
When we call each other up in the morning we would always say ‘ whats the Script? Whats the story, whats happening today? ‘ Also our songs our very storylike in nature and we started the band in LA so we felt that everything was pointing to that name.

• What are some of your passions outside of music?
Golf – Playstation 3 – Reading

• How has your music evolved since you first began playing music together?
In a live sense, we have become a better band, more confident onstage and more aware of what makes a show great. The music has evolved with our audience in ways we couldnt have imagined, people have taken their own meanings from the songs and made them a soundtrack to their own lives.

• What has been your biggest challenge as a band?
Adapting to the touring life, being away from home and the people you love.

John Mayer Tweets About Britney Spears Australian Debacle – Video

Britney Spears has managed to piss off Australia with her aforementioned fakery. (Click here to read about the announcement she …gasp…lip synchs.)

After she continued her ‘Circus’ tour fans that were at her first stop in Perth were fuming and demanding their monies back. They were stomping around in their ripped fishnets and tube tops angry because she lip synched her way through most of the show. Earlier in the week the Minister for Fair Trading for New South Wales in Australia made a announcement warning fans that Spears can and will lip synch. Apparently some didn’t get the memo and walked out of the show with their angry faces in full force as they complained that she didn’t interact with the audience.

I am guessing they expected her to shill out handys and make it rain candy. Even the Prince of Lady Wash and Narciism himself Tweeted from Mount So-In-The-Closet-He’s-Finding-Old-Christmas-Presents the obvious.

“If you’re shocked that Britney was lip-syncing at her concert and want your money back, life may continue to be hard for you.”

I am going to have to buy ice skates to get home because Hell just froze over. A complete thought that didn’t end with crying and self congratulatory pats on the back.

Dlisted – “There’s already an obvious disclaimer on Brit Brit’s tickets that states she doesn’t sing live. It reads: “BRITNEY SPEARS IN CONCERT.”

OneRepublic Release Secrets On iTunes + Twitter Background Contest

Alrighty, Dames! Here is some fun that you can get your hands into! OneRepublic is currently holding a contest for fans to create a new Twitter background for their official account (Twitter.com/1republic). The band will be choosing the 1st place winner, while the public will be choosing the 2nd and 3rd place winners. First place winner will receive a signed poster, a copy of OneRepublics new album “Waking Up”, a T-Shirt, and their design will used on the official OneRepublic twitter for 1 week. Second and Third place winners will each receive a signed poster, a copy of OneRepublic’s new album “Waking Up”, and a T-Shirt. Participants from all countries are welcome to enter with the deadline being November 19th. You can check out the rules of the contest here.

Bruce Willis Flips Out On Female Fan

Rumor has it Bruce Willis exploded on a female fan at a Fashion Week event in New York when they got too close for comfort to him and wife Emma Heming. The actor was said to be having some cocktails with his wife in the VIP Lounge, while some female fans were taking pictures of him with their camera phones. He seemed to be okay with that at first, taking time to smile for the photos. One woman apparently stepped over his personal boundaries line, poking him in the shoulder to get his attention.

Per Radar:

He was visibly angry, leaned in very close to her and put his finger right in her face. He then said, “Don’t you EVER touch me, understand?”

Yikes! The woman, now a former fan I presume, appeared to be shocked and frightened by his sudden outburst. Bruce then told his entourage that he needed to leave and slipped out of the lounge, trying to hide his drink up his sleeve to avoid the paps getting a picture. Apparently Bruce doesn’t like to be touched by strangers, which is understandable, but was it really necessary to flip the eff out on the fan like that?? Shameful! But of course, like any other true fashion of celebrities, his rep spins a different version of the story.

Per Gossip Cop:

“Willis and Heming were at the event, and that he did sign autographs and take photos with fans but was so startled by this one particular fan and the way in which this fan was behaving that he quickly became concerned for his wife’s safety.”

…And this is exactly why Bruce isn’t cast in romantic comedies anymore, folks! But wait, what was he doing at a fashion event anyways? A little out of place for him, dontcha think?

Robert Pattinson Preaches It: ‘I’m NOT Edward Cullen!’

This is probably one of those more sane celebrity quotes. Robert Pattinson opened up to OK! (their exclamation point, not mine) about the throngs of women throwing themselves at him and begging him to autograph their underwear or impregnate them.

His fresh status as a transatlantic heartthrob is both a blessing and a curse. Sets have taken to ridiculous security measures to keep fans at bay. What concerns Pattinson is the average Twihard’s projection issue.

“I had no idea people could get so obsessed. But it’s not scary – it’s amazing. People just project their idea of my character on to me and they just seem to assume that I’m the same, when in reality I’m not.”

I have heard it is indeed hard out there for a pimp.

Britney Spears the New Miracle Worker

According to many of her superfans, the troubled pop princess is the Jesus. A larger group of fans that have claimed that Britney Spears has saved their lives has formed to create a movement of Spears therapy. The BBC did a documentary of the fans’ dedication and stories of Brit’s life saving powers called “Britney Spears Saved My Life.”

An examination of the Spears obsession took place during the documentary and a doctor took a stab at why people (with a focus on teens) have such a following for her.

Via Newsweek:

“The Beatles, Elvis, Madonna, Zac Efron—each has had the power to make grown women (and men) faint or cry. Teens are particularly susceptible to the power of music, says neurologist Daniel Levitin, because of the way their bodies and brains are changing: a combination of raging hormones.”

He suggests this is why many have claimed that she has saved their life. One girl in particular stated that Britney was her only reason to live and prevented her from suicide. Others thank Spears for getting them through eating disorders, depression and helped them accept their sexuality. Another fan claimed her version of “My Prerogative” helped free him from the clutches of Jahova’s Witnesses.

I should join this movement. Because it was Britney who inspired me to be a celebrity blogger due to the fact that a trip to Starbucks will knock a story about the war in Iraq off the front page. Ho plays my bills. I should send a nice gift basket filled with Red Bull, Easy Mac and fuzzy handcuffs.

David Beckham Booed, Calls Out a Drunk Fan – Video and Photos

David Beckham was booed in his first game back in California in the LA Galaxy versus AC Milan match. The walking Armani ad didn’t please the crowd as he took to the field on Sunday. Fans yelled their disapproval and booed loudly. As his name was announced over the field the crowd sneered and voiced their distaste. After he first got his feet on the ball the audience again showed no mercy and continued their boos.

People held up signs with the words “Go Home Fraud” and “Hey Becks, Here Before You, Here After You, Here Despite You” in bold print emblazoned on them. People wearing his jersey with a line crossing through his number were also present. At one point David tried to confront a Galaxy fan from the playing field. He walked up and asked the heckler to come down to the field. Security had to pull the two apart.

He is lacking a positive fan base in U.S. soccer partly in thanks to his desire to return to the European football circuit because the level of play in the U.S. isn’t up to his standards. Meanwhile, he has failed to make a huge impression in the American team. He brings people to the stands, but isn’t winning games.

One soccer fan put it best when telling me:

“David is great for getting people’s attention. But that is just it. He is a celebrity first and a soccer player second. Which is said because there might be talent there beneath his polished and buffed spoiled ass.”

Awww… How cute! No matter what craziness is in store next for Britney Spears, at least she’ll always have two fans! Sons Sean Preston and Jayden James had a good ole’ time dancing to their mothers songs “Toxic” and “Baby One More Time.” And Mama Spears couldn’t be more proud!
