David Beckham’s Armani Bulge – Photo

I needed something to cleanse my minds eye after seeing Phil Spector’s mugshot this morning. David Beckham and his bulge will have to do. Jonathon Rhys Meyers must be busy.

Armani is still using David Beckham to shill man panties. After his first round of ads increased sales over 50% at Selfridges, the brand is sticking with the footballer. David is once again the crotch for the fall/winter campaign shown above in the final stages of his 3 year deal with the designer.

Giorgio Armani Recovering from Hepatitis

Giorgio Armani has been battling hepatitis behind closed doors. The secretive recovery sent whispers that he Italian designer was falling from fashion grace. To clear the air Giorgio himself has released a statement.

Per Reuters:

“I have in fact suffered from hepatitis by poisoning, which, certainly is not a rare illness. Nevertheless it is one which requires some time for a complete recovery. My commitment both on the creative and management side has never relented,” he said.

“Consequently there has been no shift in delegation of my authorities to any one of the executives and everything in the company is proceeding with the usual energy.”

Thank the fashion gods. I am glad it wasn’t the dirty kind of hepatitis. On a side note I had my 12 year old cousin convinced she’d get hepatitis if she didn’t wear panties and this turned into a small outbreak of fear of public toilets and penchant for granny panties and simultaneously proved I should never be in charge of small children.

Victoria Beckham Giorgio Armani Ads – Photos

The same day that Katie Holmes busts out her ads for Miu Miu, Victoria Beckham undresses for Giorgio Armani.

The Beckhams are BFF with Armani and Vicky follows in the steps of her husband, David Beckham. The ball player did an underwear ad for the men’s campaign. Rumors followed his freakishly well groomed no-no area, stating he was “digitally enhanced” for the ads. Posh Spice denied the enhancement and then checked her makeup in his shining crotch.

Tim Gunn VS. Armani and Donna Karan

Tim Gunn is my boo and hero. He is pretty much the Jesus of Fashion. After working his way through Parsons as a teacher, he moved on to be Heidi Klum’s sidekick on “Project Runway.” From here he became more mainstream and captured my heart.

Gunn is bravely taking on fashion power houses Giorgio Armani and Donna Karan. He joined the celebrity movement to end the use of real fur. My boo narrated a video that featured footage of rabbits being skinned alive for their fur and foxes being electrocuted. He delicately attacks designers who still use genuine fur with his stunning vocabulary. Page Six reports his moving words:

“Any designer in the fashion industry who does not want to watch the PETA video and see exactly what happens to animals and how they’re treated and how the product that they use comes to the marketplace, I believe, is egregiously irresponsible.”

Armani and Karan were singled out due to their reneged promise of never using real fur again. Reps for Giorgio’s label have released as statement damning the video.

“Despite the fact that we have previously sold products made from animal fur, the Armani Group has now decided to renounce making such items with the exception of those in rabbit fur, the by-product of an animal that is a staple source of food . . . We must stress that PETA is exploiting our name to stir up public opinion without acknowledging that we actually include very few fur items in our collections, while certain competitors of ours base much of their business on furs.”

Meanwhile, Donna Karan, who was a guest on the last season of “Project Runway” simply stated:

“There is no fur in any of our lines for Fall 2009, and we currently have no plans to use fur.”

Her is a more horrifying image…Pamela Anderson and Tim Gunn fighting crime Peta style. It’s like two opposing forces of classiness mingling together for the sake of bunnies. Now that is a tale to tell the kiddies this holiday. Silicone Sally and Tiny Tim save the fluffies of the world in time to save Christmas.
