Did you watch the Golden Globe Awards last night? Sandra Bullock was rocking some new bangs and she looked amazing! Last night while Sandra was on the red carpet, Al Roker stopped her to do the normal interview and then began to ask about her love life. It’s been rumored the last few weeks that she and recently separated Ryan Reynolds were dating. But what did Sandra have to say about the rumor?

I love how she talks about the dress and why she picked it. And no Ryan’s not her lov-ah! They’re just good friends. Well good friends make the best lovers, Sandra!!!

Ricky Gervais Fired From ‘Golden Globe’ Duties ?!

It’s a strong possibility this one is true. However, it is far too early to give a solid yes or no to the return of the comedian. Ricky Gervais Fired! rumors followed starting on Twitter after her took an hour long break during the Golden Globes. He returned to finish the awards and continued in the face of a slew pissed off Hollywood elite. (Click HERE for a video of Ricky Gervais’ opening monologue…)

The real question as to whether or not Ricky will return as host for the Golden Globes, or any award shows for that matter, is probably all in the numbers. The show enjoyed one of its highest audience numbers with nearly 17 million tuning it. The critics are also largely on his side…

New York Magazine – “Debates are breaking out all over Twitter right now about whether Gervais’s delightfully caustic, Armond White–esque return to the Globes will be panned tomorrow. Well, certainly not by us! The Scientologists and stars of The Tourist in the room might not have enjoyed Gervais’s bruising one-liners tonight, but screw ‘em. They’re rich and they can take it.”

Hollywood Reporter – “And yet, it made for compelling – if sometimes wince-inducing – television. Given the staid lameness of most awards shows – hello Emmys – at least he kept those who are not in the industry laughing uproariously.”

EW – “First of all, thanks once again to Ricky Gervais for bringing the sort of funny rudeness and effrontery — or as Robert Downey, Jr., phrased it, “mean-spirited [with] a sinister undertone” — that make an awards show such as the Golden Globes engaging to watch.”

As far as an answer from the HFPA President, Philip Berk….he responded to the return of Ricky with a simple “No comment.”

Ricky Gervais Golden Globe Awards 2011 – VIDEO

Ricky Gervais hosted the 2011 Golden Globes Awards and opened with a monologue that left most of Hollywood’s elite angry. Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie were his first targets. He poked fun at the box office bomb that managed to garner several nominations, ‘The Tourist.’ Next he wondered aloud why ‘Sex and the City 2’ was snubbed as the airbrush team for the posters alone deserved a nod as he added, “Girls, we know how old you are. I saw one of you on an episode of ‘Bonanza’!”

What created the most tension in the audience was a punch line that hit a Hollywood vet who did not attend the event. Gervais brought up ‘I Love You Philip Morris.’ The punch line stabbed at Tom Cruise/John Travolta

“Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor, two heterosexual actors pretending to be gay. So the complete opposite of some Scientologists, then.”

Later Ricky attacked Robert Downey Jr. before introducing him as a presenter after listing his film accomplishments and adding, “But many of you in this room probably know him best from such facilities as the Betty Ford Clinic and Los Angeles County Jail.” Obviously it was in poor taste, and Downey snapped back with, “Aside from the fact that it’s been hugely mean-spirited with mildly sinister undertones, I’d say the vibe of the show has been pretty good so far, wouldn’t you?”

I still love Ricky and the thing about his style is that he doesn’t answer to the pampered celebs who demand decorum and worshipping at all times. He pushed the boundaries of respectability by attacking the easy targets with hard and sometimes low blows, but that is what you get when tap him for hosting duties. You can’t give him a room full of A-list celebs and a microphone with the expectation that he will bite his tongue. It’s like giving me a bottle of vodka while playing ‘Pour Some Sugar on Me’ and not expecting my top to come off.

Christina Hendricks Thanks Cappuccinos for Her Curves

Mad Men” star Christina Hendricks is making headlines lately after in a recent interview she reveals just how much she loves her full figure and has always been proud of her curves. However, she still has a hard time shutting out all the negative comments. In February, Christina was hurt by the negative reactions to her voluptuous figure, insisting the comments left a “bad taste in her mouth” after she showed off her curves in a lavish ball gown at the Golden Globes ceremony. A New York Times style critic was forced to apologize after writing, “big girls shouldn’t wear big dresses.”

Per Health:

On people Googling her cup size:
“It’s weird, but it doesn’t surprise me. I made the grave mistake after one awards show of reading comments online about what I wore, and I was like, ‘Oh my God, people are so mean!’ I still remember all those negative comments, despite all the wonderful positivity. That’s why we’re all in therapy! [We remember] the 10 bad things that happen to us instead of the 100 nice ones.”

And now Christina and her cleavage are front and center on the cover of ‘Health‘ magazine where she also talks about how she loves being “bigger,” at least by Hollywood standards, adores her body, and feels gorgeous with an extra 15 pounds.

Q: What is your best advice for reaching total body confidence? Do you have it?
A: I guess my mom raised me right. She was very celebratory of her body. I never heard her once say, “I feel fat.” Back when I was modeling, the first time I went to Italy I was having cappuccinos every day, and I gained 15 pounds. And I felt gorgeous! I would take my clothes off in front of the mirror and be like, Oh, I look like a woman. And I felt beautiful, and I never tried to lose it, ’cause I loved it. [Laughs.]

In the interview where she talks at lengths about her body, Christina also went on to talk about maintaining a positive body image while also revealing details about how she manages to stay fit and even her much googled breast size. What is her cup size, by the way? She’s too classy to reveal that but since everyone else in the world is googling it, let the guessing begin!

Kate Hudson and Gerard Butler Hook Up

kate-hudson-pic.jpg

Friday joke: Why did Gerard Butler cross the Golden Globes road? Because he heard Kate Hudson is a slut!

Yes folks, while Jennifer Aniston’s PR people tried to persuade us into thinking she and the ’300′ star were slopping spit, Butler was really trying to stick it to the ‘Nine’ actress.

Via Starpulse:

“Gerard told Kate she was the most beautiful girl in the room and that he adores her work. He was really locked in on her.”

Hopefully, Hudson didn’t buy this. Since Gerard has been linked to the likes of Lindsay Lohan, his taste is automatically suspect.

CNN Sees the Style Light

Yesterday I was contacted by the good people of CNN. I was lucky enough to discuss the touchy topic of celebrity body image. The subject became reheated after the New York Times posted two stories that caused a backlash.

christina-hendrickson-ny-times-photo-controversy-1

Christina Hendricks was under fire for an ill fitting gown. The media outlet’s fashion critic, Cathy Horyn, dubbed her a “big girl” and it became a storm of disagreement. It should also be mentioned that the article was accompanied by an obviously digitally altered photo that appeared to stretch her width. Since then, the image was replaced and the error chalked up to a “routine processing” error. Regardless, he issue was no longer the dress, but a question of Christina’s body image.

Breeanna Hare of CNN tackled the controversy by talking to people on both sides of the issue. Click HERE to read ‘Mad Men’ actress ‘big’? Them’s fightin’ words on the Web featuring comments from yours truly!

James Cameron Slams Meryl Streep

Hollywood is full of jealous bitches these days! And it seems everyone is hating on our beloved Meryl Streep.

golden globes pressroom 3 180110

First, Sharon Stone brought out her claws to sink into the ‘Julie & Julia’ star (read about that here), and now ‘Avatar’ creator James Cameron is throwing a few punches at Streep as well.

Via The Vancouver Sun:

“Streep may have compared her work on Wes Anderson’s Fantastic Mr. Fox to the Avatar cast’s motion capture performances – which the the self-appointed King of the World deemed tantamount to treason.”

“She did a voice performance for a day or two,” Cameron scoffed to reporters, saying her work on Mr. Fox didn’t require the same complexity or physical nuance that was displayed by Avatar’s cast.

Right, James. Like the 10 years it took you to steal the story of Pochahontas and turn it into ‘Avatar?’ Or Ferngully?

Jennifer Aniston & Gerard Butler Dating Rumors

jennifer-aniston-and-gerard-butler-golden-globes-2010-pic-1.jpg

Another Monday and another spin on the “Who’s Jennifer Aniston Hooking Up With” wheel-o’-fun! This weeks lucky winner – “Bounty Hunter” co-star Gerard Butler. Aniston and Butler have again set the rumors into overdrive that they are an item following their appearance at the Golden Globes last night. The pair appeared together on stage where they presented the award for Best Screenplay which went to “Up in the Air;” and their awkward body language onstage is raising questions about whether or not there’s something going on between these two.

Per PopEater:

“It’s an honor for us to present this award together,” Butler began. “Yep, it is,” Aniston responded.

Both appeared to be flirting with eachother, and at one point, Aniston rested her head on his shoulder before he playfully hid the results from her. Later, when Sandra Bullock accepted her Best Actress in a Drama award, the camera panned to the two as Aniston was seen leaning on Butler. Holy crap – By looking at them it’s totally obvious they are married, she’s pregnant with quadruplets, and each is having an affair with someone else. And I’m sitting in the sand in Hawaii sipping on some pina coladas while the 12 guys from the Playgirl Calendar are at my every beck and call. (Thats sarcasm, kittens!) This isn’t the first time the two have been linked together; They were hit with relationship questions last summer while filming “Bounty Hunter,” and were said to be spotted hand-in-hand at one point. Both deny the reports.

Last September, under similar questioning, Butler himself debunked reports. “She’s the coolest and she’s become a great friend, but there’s nothing going on. And if there was, I’d be happy to say it!” he told E! News of Aniston.

See, it is possible for guys and gals to remain just friends. Remember, they’ve got a movie coming up to promote – a little bit of flirting goes a long way!

Demi Moore Skips Golden Globes Because of Bad Hair Day

ashton-kutcher-golden-globes-2010.jpg

Everyone who is anyone attended the Golden Globes last night. Even Mike Tyson was there. But noticeably absent – Demi Moore. She unglued herself from husband Ashton Kutcher long enough to let him walk the red carpet alone due to suffering from a bad hair day.

Per Us:

“Feeling sick and having a bad hair day!” the actress, 47, Twittered.

Moore followed that post with pictures of herself looking tired and washed out, more-so than normal. But her illness didn’t stop her from tweeting on her hubby’s tux-look, saying that she thought he looked “dapper.” A bun or a ponytail would have fixed the bad hair situation. Or hell, she could have just shaved her head again! This is completely OT, but did anyone else notice that Kutcher wasn’t wearing his wedding ring?
