Heather Locklear Hospitalized for Mixing Drugs and Alcohol

Heather Locklear

Last night while I was playing Find a Way to Make Chanel Slingbacks Tax Deductible, Heather Locklear was indulging in a liquid appetizer and feasting on some prescription drugs. Apparently she mixed a bad combo and went down. Her sister called 911 and the team who showed up to her house determined that she needed to be taken to the hospital.

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz & Colin Egglesfield Leaving ‘Melrose Place’

These poor Simpson sisters just can’t catch a break – everytime you turn around, one of them in getting dumped one way or the other! It’s been reported that Ashlee Simpson has been given the boot from “Melrose Place” after filming only 12 episodes. Simpsons’ exit comes after the “Who Killed Sydney?” storyline wraps up in December. The report claims “in addition to Heather Locklear’s Amanda, several new characters will be introduced and the show will take on a lighter, more fun vibe.” Series producers say the exit of Simpsons’ character was always the plan. When asked how did she “take” the news, the producers claim that she always knew it was a possibility.

Per Us:

“Having the chance to play Violet on Melrose Place has been a thrill. Although I always knew her story would come to a final, insanely unpredictable end, playing a creepy, unstable character was something I always wanted to do, so I jumped at the chance. Thanks to the CW and the entire cast and crew of Melrose Place for allowing me this opportunity!” says Simpson.

But if its any conciliation to Ashlee she wasn’t the only one as her co-star Colin Egglesfield was also given the axe. Following the news of a cast shake-up on the show, Egglesfield says he was let go because his character was too dark.

Per E!:

“[Executive producers Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer] said it was a network decision, and they said the network thought Auggie was a little too dark with his alcoholism,” Egglesfield told E! “They felt like in the landscape of Melrose they wanted to change the tone of the show.”

Egglesfield also reveales that his character won’t be killed, but is just leaving, keeping the door open for his character to potentially come back if needed. Are the two really being let go for the sake of the show, or has their rumored on-set romance the cause of their firings? Rumor has it that Simpson has been crushing hard on the actor, and in between filming has been flirting with Egglesfield while husband Pete Wentz was on tour. Simpson was dressed only in a robe while filming a scene, and one that scene was over she reportedly kept grabbing Egglesfield hand and hugging him.

Per Star:

“One of the first things Ash said was, ‘The guy who plays Auggie is really hot.’ They hung out together for hours. She giggled nonstop and did the whole hair-flip thing.”

While Ashlee had her fun on set, her husband hasn’t taken the situation too lightly. The cople have been reportedly fighting like crazy and it’s even being said to be affecting her work. Sources on the set say she has even broken down and cried after angry phone calls from Wentz. If I was Ashlee, I’d be flirting too! Have you seen Egglesfield with his shirt off? ‘Nuff said!

Ashlee Simpson To Join the New “Melrose Place”

Well it seems like Ashlee wants to try her hand at acting again. Multiple sources confirm that singer and wanna-be Ashlee Simpson-Wentz has become the latest person to check into “CW’s” newly resurfaced show “Melrose Place.” Simpson-Wentz will play a small-town girl named Violet, a character whose is said to resemble the Southern-belle-turned-actress portrayed on the original “Melrose Place” by Amy Locane. The character also appears sweet and innocent on the surface, but uses that to mask her inner sex kitten. Hmm – wonder if Ashlee can pull that off! Besides her upcoming gig March 18th on “CSI”, this will be her first time behind the acting lens in 7 years since her unimpressive “7th Heaven” days.

Others already cast include Katie Cassidy and Michael Rady, and rumors are circulating that Heather Locklear is in talks to reprise her role as Amanda Woodward. “OC” actress Mischa Barton is also in talks to join the show. Ashlee and Mischa on the same show… Is it me or is this show seemingly lacking in the talent department?

The show is considered a lock to land a spot on The “CW’s” fall schedule, presumably to follow “90210” on Tuesday nights. How long do you think it’ll take husband Pete Wentz to convince producers to cast him as a guest star? Guess my Tuesday nights will still remain free despite the “Melrose Place Has-Beens Variety Hour.”

Heather Locklear ‘Flirting with 40’

At 9 pm tonight you can watch Heather Locklear riding Robert Buckley on Lifetime. The “Melrose Place” star is taking the role of a woman who falls in love with a much younger man.

Jackie (Heather Locklear) is a divorced mother of two on the brink of her 40th birthday. When her kids go to stay with her ex for the holidays, Jackie takes a chance on a magical vacation and finds herself in the middle of an unexpected romance with a much younger (and hunkier) man (Robert Buckley). It’s not long before she realizes that life only begins at 40. Based on the book by Jane Porter.

Beats watching “Friends” reruns. Who am I kidding? No it doesn’t.
