Ryan Reynolds as the Green Lantern – PHOTOS

Entertainment Weekly has the first look at Ryan Reynolds as the Green Lantern. Despite reports made by US Weekly that the actor suffered an injury that would halt production, the filming goes on.

He was shooting a scene and reportedly separated his shoulder. An insider-type claimed he was keeping it on ice and “in lots of pain.” Currently Ryan is on set today in New Orleans and the film is still set for a June 2011 release.

Should this injury require massive amounts rubbing an running cubes of ice across his chest I will throw myself on the sword and volunteer upon two conditions of constant shirtlessness and he isn’t allowed to talk.

NFL Star Chris Henry Tragically Dies at 26

Tragedy fell upon the NFL early this morning. Cincinnati Bengals Wide Receiver Chris Henry passed away this morning after sustaining injuries suffered after he fell from a moving pickup truck driven by his fiancee Loleini Tonga yesterday in Charlotte, N.C. Henry died at 6:36 a.m. at Carolinas Medical Center, where he had been taken early yesterday afternoon. Police haven’t released a cause of death.

Chris Henry was severely injured and was listed in a critical condition after falling out of the back of a moving pick-up truck following a heated argument with Tonga. She got in a pick-up truck and drove off, with Henry running after her and hopping into the bed of the truck. The two continued fighting until his accident when Henry “came out” of the back of the vehicle about a half-mile away from his fiancees’ parents house. When police and paramedics responded to the scene, police said Henry had suffered life-threatening injuries, including severe head trauma. He was then transported to a local hospital. No charges have been immediately filed, although authorities are at the scene conducting a criminal investigation to assess if he fell or was thrown off the truck.

Per Fox Sports:

“The domestic situation continued between the operator and Mr. Henry,” the police said in a statement. “At some point while she was driving, Mr. Henry came out of the back of the vehicle.”

According to a statement released by the Bengals, Henry and Tonga were to be married in March. Tonga’s MySpace page also made several references to the expected nuptials, including the purchase of her dress and wedding rings. Police haven’t released details on their dispute. However, homicide detectives were called to the scene of the accident to investigate. According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, such a move is typical procedure when the department responds to an accident involving life-threatening injuries.

Drafted in 2005, Henry is no stranger to problems off the field. He was arrested several times during his professional career, including arrests for DUI, marijuana possession, and assault, before being released by the Bengals in 2007 and then re-signed to a two-year contract with the team before the 2008 season. After the Bengals’ owner gave Henry a second chance, Henry seemed to have straightened his life out, staying out of trouble and focusing his off time on his family. He had been on injured reserve with the Bengals since Nov. 9 due to a dislocated forearm and had been spending his time away from the team with Tonga and their children.

Per ESPN:

“He was good at what he did as a player, he was a teammate to our players and a friend to almost all of us in the building,” Bengals president Mike Brown said at a news conference Thursday at the team’s headquarters. “We knew him in a way that [was not consistent] with his public persona. We liked him. He had worked through troubles in his life … to a point where he was going to have the future we all wanted for him and that he wanted for himself. At the time of his tragedy he was running to daylight.”

Henry leaves behind his fiancee and three children: 3-year old Seini, 2-year old Chris Jr., and 10-month old DeMarcus. He was 26 years old. An unfortunate end to a troubled life that seemed to be on the mend over the past year. Our sympathies are with the family of Chris Henry and his fiancee. Family, friends, and fans will miss him.

Miley Cyrus Deadly Tour Bus Crash – Photos and Video

One of Miley Cyrus’ tour buses was part of a deadly crash that took place this morning in Virginia on I-85 just outside of Richmond, leaving the driver dead and nine others with minor injuries. Cyrus and her tour were in a 4-vehicle caravan when one of the buses overturned. Police are not yet sure if the driver died prior to the crash, prompting the bus to flip, or died as a result of the crash. Miley was reportedly not on board the bus during the crash.

Per TMZ:

Miley’s manager tell us, “It was one of our tour buses, but not Miley’s. It was one of our buses that transported our lighting crew.”

The bus carrying Miley’s 14 member concert production crew is the bus believed to be the one she usually travels in. Officials say the road was still wet from overnight rain, and a man at the scene claims the bus appears to have drifted off the road for a long distance before finally flipping over, sliding into a ditch. According to Cyrus’s website, she is scheduled to perform in Greensboro, NC on Sunday. No word if that will still be happening. More details on the crash are still pending.

This sounds just awful. Our condolences to the family of the deceased as well as everyone else affected.

Tila Tequila Post Shawne Merriman Fight Photos

So the drama surrounding the Tila Tequila and Shawne Merriman fight has furthered. After Shawne claimed he was merely trying to stop her from driving while drunk, Tila has fired back. (Via Twitter of course. )

Her claim is that she refused to participate in sexy time with him after they went clubbing. Tila then tried to leave and he grabbed her, choked her and threw her to the ground. Shawne was then arrested and then called her a boozehound and said he didn’t hurt her. Judging by the bruises he left on her we have another he did more than taking her keys to prevent her from driving drunk.

Tila has been cooperating with the DA’s office and building a case against Merriman.

Dirty Boy, Robert Pattinson Injured On Set Of New Moon Rumors

Attention all Twi-hards, we have a vampire down! It is being reported by several sources that my beloved Robert Pattinson was injured today while filming scenes New Moon in Vancouver!! Before you throw yourself in front of on-coming traffic, he is fine. He will go on with the movie. He can still give good face.

According to reports, Sparklepants was knocked in the noggin when a piece of a metal billboard blew-off in a gust of wind.

Via The National Ledger:

“During filming of his upcoming flick, ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ in Vancouver, Pattinson had just started shooting a scene when a rogue gust of violent wind tore a heavy metal sign from a post. It shot across the location so fast no one even managed to shout a warning at Pattinson, who was just opening his mouth to emote when…WHAM!…the unguided missile smashed into the back of his head.”

Luckily, Pattinson is currently sporting his “Edward Cullen” hair which is full of hairspray and his natural eight layers of grease. His inability to frequently wash may have saved his life.

According to Mike Walker of The Inquirer:

“Rob dropped and then lay deadly still as cast and crew ran to help, sending out a radio call for an ambulance. Finally, Pattinson – looking like he’d had the blood sucked from him – began moving feebly, disoriented, but able to speak. The crew put ice packs on a knot sized lump, and by the time medics arrived, the star was coherent and insisting he was fine.”

Not only is Sparklepants suffering from a knot on his head, he is also offending several of his “New Moon” cast mates and crew members due to his poor hygiene.

“He stinks. I mean, it’s awful. He never showers, and it drives people on the set crazy. He completely reeks.”

Pattinson was given the rest of the day off and was sent back to his hotel to rest. He continues to wait there for his private nurse who will arrive in a little over a week (wink!). Don’t worry, she will give him a nice spongebath.

UPDATE Via The Dame: Pattinson got wind of the injury story and quickly denied the accident and being smelly.

Moviefone: You know the same thing went around about Zac Efron a while ago; that he doesn’t shower.

Robert: Really? He looks like he smells really good [laughs]. I also do shower.

How often he showers is another question entirely. He went on Jay Leno shortly after “Twilight” released and talked about how he woud go for weeks without a shower.

America’s Next Top Model Stampede – Video

Casting for the next season of Tyra Banks schools some models nearly killed a couple of model hopefuls. While a huge herd of wannabes waited to get their turn to try out for “America’s Next Top Model,” a car overheated and backfired. This caused model mayhem.

As you can see in the video, screaming erupted after some idiot yelled to the crowd that there was bomb. Obviously there was no bomb. Fencing was knocked down as thousands of women scrambled to get out of the area. A total of 6 women were injured.

Via NY Daily News:

“The girls were running like it was 9/11 part two,” said Jennifer Brown, 27, of Kensington, Brooklyn. “I feared for my life.” Another stated: “The metal barricade fell down,” said Kiara McCarthy, 19, of Levittown, L.I. “All of a sudden we heard this roar from behind us and we looked behind us and there’s a wave of people falling on top of us.”

Then after the scare, the remaining models were forced to stay in line no matter what.

“I had to pee in a cup and change my clothes in the street,” said Mona Knight, 18, of the Bronx, who arrived at 11:30 p.m. Friday night. “There was no organization whatsoever.”

“Everyone was so compressed, I don’t think they could breathe,” said Alex Saavedra, 23, who escorted his girlfriend to the audition. “Then they started passing out.”

Soon the auditions were shut down after the riot caused the stampede. The 6 injured women are currently in the hospital and in stable condition.

This is a great idea. A bunch of short models who are already living on 3 cheese cubes, Diet Coke and cigarettes were herded into a confined area. Yup. I can tell Tyra was the brains behind this.

Rihanna’s Herpes Cause for Chris Brown Fight ???

The internet blew up with questions at to whether or not Rihanna’s alleged herpes caused the fight between her and boyfriend Chris Brown. The rumor is that she failed to mention that she has the STD and Brown got it. He became furious and the fight ensued.

From what I am hearing there is little support behind the this theory. According to sources she was upset with him for looking at other women at the Pre-Grammy party and he received text messages from an alleged mistress. They began to argue about it in the car and things became physical. Another source told NY Daily News that Chris saw Rihanna dancing with another man and he became enraged with jealousy. Either way, the injuries she has sustained are being called “horrific” by police leaks.

A case is being built against Brown and Rihanna is cooperating with the investigation that could land her (hopefully former) boyfriend in jail for up to 9 years. Lets hope that justice is served because it is NEVER ok to resort to violence.
