NFL Fans Want Nickelback Out Of Halftime Show

It’s no secret Nickelback is one of the most divisive bands on the face of the planet. Despite most of us thinking they are one of the worst bands ever to grace a stage they were also the highest selling foreign act in the United States just this past decade. Scary right?
An online petition is being filed by NFL fans to stop Nickelback from performing at this year’s halftime show in the Thanksgiving game between the Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers. The statement was spearheaded by Detroit fan Dennis Guttman who has noted:

The bomb dropped last night that Detroit rockers ‘The White Stripes’ have decided to break-up!
The duo, which features Jack White and his ex-wife, Meg White, released several popular albums in the late ninties and two-thousands but has been largely inactive since the 2007 release of “Icky Thump.”
Via Variety:
“The band denied any personal or health reasons were behind the split, instead stating both members wished to ‘preserve what is beautiful and special about the band and have it stay that way.’”
How very ‘Sex and the City’ of them.
Though Meg White has been MIA recently, Jack White is involved in several other projects including playing with the band, ‘The Dead Weather.’

Conan O’Brien Back On TBS Tonight!

It’s been 10 long months but finally Conan O’Brien is back!! He will debut is his new show ‘Conan‘ on TBS tonight at 11pm. What can we expect? (To catch you up — Conan has been off the air since January, when NBC canceled Jay Leno’s prime-time hour after the ratings went south. NBC bought out O’Brien and his team for around $40 million to clear the way for Leno to reclaim the position as ‘The Tonight Show‘ host. It was the same position handed off to O’Brien last year.)
Tonight, Conan will debut with sidekick Andy Richter making a comeback along with a new band leader Jimmy Vivino. Guest on Conan will include Seth Rogen, ‘Glee’ star Lea Michele as well as a performance by Jack White. Week 1 guests include Tom Hanks and Jack McBrayer on Tuesday, Jon Hamm on Wednesday and Michael Cera on Thursday.
Per Showbiz Spy:
“I want to talk to people who are good at a craft, people who work with their hands. We’re going to talk to a lot of upholsterers. And we may have financial penalties. If Jim Carrey or Tom Hanks accidentally mentions his project, I think the viewer should be compensated in some way. That would be a way to turn this economy around.”

Jack White & Jay-Z Record Song Together

Jay-Z has a new collaboration coming… with Jack White, the White Stripes/Raconteurs/Dead Weather/Coke commercial guy! White recently recorded a song with Jay-Z, saying the rapper “came out with words” for a song he had been working on for some time, resulting in a quick and “unbelievable-sounding” record.
Per Contact Music:
He explained: “I just did a record with Jay-Z. We did a song together a few weeks ago. It was incredible. I played him something that I’ve been kicking around for a while and he immediately came out with words for it. It’s unbelievable-sounding.”
The collaboration isn’t altogether a surprise. A few months ago, Jay-Z sang White’s praises in an interview with “Clash” magazine calling him a “renaissance man.” White didn’t reveal any details about the recording when he let it slip, other than to say he recorded a single track with the hip-hop mogul in recent weeks. No one is saying whether the collaboration is destined for Jay-Z’s new experimental LP, Jack White’s rumored solo album or something else… or if the track will be released for the public to hear.
Renee Zellweger Refusing To Pack On Weight For Bridget Jones 3

Renee Zellweger doesn’t seem too keen on the idea of packing on the pounds again for the third installment of a “Bridget Jones” film after producers have told her she needs to gain 30 pounds on her small frame. She is reportedly trying to persuade producers to downsize her character to look more like her. Rumors are reporting Zellweger fears that plumping up might put a strain on her relationship with boyfriend Bradley Cooper. She is said to blame the demise of her previous relationship with Jack White due to having to gain weight in the first two Bridget Jones movies. But, in true Hollywood fashion, her rep claims there is no truth to the speculation.
Per Hollywood:
Her rep tells GossipCop.com, “(The story is) so not true. Renee more than anyone would be true to the character.”
Other reports circulating says that Zellweger has even suggested wearing a fat suit while filming the third film, which are also being denied. Renee recently showed up at the Berlin Film Festival looking a little fuller in her mid-section, kicking baby rumors into high gear. No statements from Cooper or Zellweger have been released about the Mini-Cooper as of yet, but could that be what is really behind the negotiation holdup for Bridget Jones?
