Adam Lambert Trying To Get Song On ‘Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ Soundtrack

adam-lambert

Adam Lambert thinks one of his tunes is perfect for the “Twilight Saga: Eclipse” soundtrack with his song “Suburban Decay.” Lambert already had success in with his track “Time for Miracles” that was featured in the film “2012” but now hopes to sink his teeth into the popular vampire franchise.

Per MTV:

“It’s a great song and I hope to perform it someday, and I think it will find a home, on a soundtrack or something … maybe ‘Twilight,’ ” he told MTV News. “It just didn’t quite fit [in my album]. It’s very theatrical. … It’s very campy, and it was just a bit too campy for the album as a big picture. Hey, ‘Eclipse’ … Want my song? It’s kind of about vampires,” he offered, noting a verse about “bloodlust.”

He originally wrote the song for his debut album, but the song was dropped from the final track listing. Although the vibe of the song didn’t go with the rest of his album, Lambert thinks the track would be the perfect accompaniment to the heightening love triangle between Bella, Jacob, and Edward.

Ok, I’m going to have to veto this. Every attention-seeking, glory-grabbing, fame-hungry sensationalist (and their sister) is going to try to do something to become part of this franchise or to monopolize on it. Lambert falls into the above-mentioned category and is not right for the Twilight Saga. No thanks Adam Lambert – I love the “Twilight” and “New Moon” soundtracks, and I want to be able to love “Eclipse’s” too!

‘New Moon’ 10 New Spoilers With Pictures!

Oh my I think I’ve just gone to heaven!! With 44 days & some-odd hours and counting til the “Twilight Series: New Moon” movie hits theaters, we’re now starting to find out a few more juicy tidbits about the upcoming film, along with a ton of up-until-now unreleased photographs hitting the net. These amazing pictures come from the recently released “New Moon Illustrated Companion,” and with around 95 or so photographs, they are hot enough to keep you occupied until November 20th. (You can see all the photographs released here.)

Some spoilers are making the rounds too, and they are sure to make Twi-hards even more excited about the upcoming movie. While none of them are considered ‘major’ spoilers, I do suggest you stop reading now and just gaze at the photographs for hours on end if you don’t want to be spoiled at all. If you’re curious like me and you cannot wait until November, then continue reading below!

Spoiler #1: When screenplay writer Melissa Rosenberg was writing the scripts, she tried to keep the fan base out of her head, but she couldn’t avoid it by the time of New Moon. She gave the men in Port Angeles motorcycles to make it a more “significant moment” and because motorcycles will become “an important part of her relationship with Jacob”.

Spoiler #2: While filming the breakup scene in the forest Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were being swarmed by mosquitos. In all the “vision” sequences Edward is wearing the same outfit he does when he said goodbye to Bella because that is the last memory she holds of him. As a sign that Bella is committed to Edward, her clothes are linked to his color wise. After he leaves she doesn’t pay much attention to her appearance.

Spoiler #3: The Cullen house used for “Twilight” was “a very specific house, and the only way out of that puzzle for us was to put portions of the story of New Moon in other parts of the house”. They scouted many locations for the Cullen house, but found one that was comparable enough with the house in Portland.

Spoiler #4: Robert quote: “The birthday scene at the Cullen house is like the ideal birthday party. The house is beautifully decorated and everyone is happy. Edward is looking at Bella and thinking that she can become part of his family and his life–that maybe this can work out the way he wants it to.” The sequence for the birthday party – Edward relates the history of the Volturi to Bella, she becomes wounded in the hand, and Edward faces off against Jasper.

Spoiler #5: They used the Blue Ray DVD of Twilight to help them with the age, color, texture and features of Bella’s house and room. They used the “Twilight Illustrated Companion” for help finding Bella’s truck.

Spoiler #6: Even the cameras used and their movements are done to show the relationship between the characters. One special challenge for the production team was how to convey Bella’s depression once Edward departs. In the books, the month pages do it (October, November, December, January.) In the film the passage of time is represented with visual effects. Bella sits in her chair in the bedroom and a camera circles around here while the seasons change outside her window.

Spoiler #7: Another shot manipulation, instead of Bella running to her truck and driving home after seeing the wolves in the meadow, she runs out of the woods and tells Charlie immediately that she saw them. The changes were made to make the scene more efficient.

Spoiler #8: When they are rebuilding the bikes there is a montage of scenes.

Spoiler #9: They wanted Jacob’s house to be “like a stepping stone into the forest world”. So it’s further from the heart of the reservation. Emily and Sam’s house is deeper in the forest, more separate from regular life.

Spoiler #10: Added to the movie, Jacob gives Bella a dreamcatcher. It stirs up emotions in all the major characters: Jacob says it will catch bad dreams. Edward is irritated that his rival gave Bella an intimate gift, and Charlie regrets that it stops working.

Ok, so there you have it Twi-hards! 10 Spoilers to keep you in limbo until the movie comes out. The passage of time in the book was very simple yet powerful. I like their approach to it for the movie. I got chills!

Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart Told To Keep Quiet

robert-pattinson-and-kristen-stewart-new-moon-bedroom-small

Robert Pattinson reportedly loves Kristen Stewart and wants to shout it from the rooftop but the head honchos of the “Twilight” saga have poo-poo’d the idea, telling him they want the lovebirds to keep his love underwraps, at least for a few more months.

Per OK!:

“They’re crazy about each other, and they want to shout it from the rooftops,” says an “Eclipse” set insider. “But they’re also part of this massive machine called ‘Twilight’ and producers have this thing timed with scientific precision. They don’t want Rob and Kristen to tell the world about their relationship until the time is right.”

In the upcoming movie “New Moon,” Bella falls for hunky werewolf friend Jacob Black, played by Taylor Lautner, and the studio wants the Bella-Jacob semi-romance to appear equally as plausible as the Bella-Edward relationship. Producers are worried that if Stewart and Pattinson were to go public with their love, it could divert attention from the movie’s storyline. But that might not be enough to sway Robert into keeping his trap shut.

Per OK!:

“Trust me; he generally does what he’s told by producers,” one source tells OK!, “but this kid has a strong will of his own, and if he wants to walk around Vancouver with Kristen in front of the world, he’s going to.”

Come on already, let these two make their relationship public! Its the worse kept secret in Hollywood right now. Maybe then we can see a smile on Stewart’s face for once!

‘New Moon’ Nearly Kills Kristen Stewart

robert-pattinson-kristen-stewart-new-moon-ew-outtakes-1

It wasn’t easy shooting “Twilight” sequel “New Moon” for Kristen Stewart. Filming the movie nearly kills her, but its not the fault of the motorcycle stunts; Its when her character Bella has to tell Jacob that she still is in love with her vampire lover Edward.

Per MTV:

“My favorite line in the book is when I have to say to [Jacob], ‘It’s him; it’s always been him!’ Like, I have to say that. Yeah, it killed me, it killed me. Just like everything in our movie, it’s such a heightened version of reality. It’s like, people don’t just break up [in the 'Twilight' films] — they break up and it literally kills you,” Kristen says. “It’s not like you just say, ‘Oh, I’m really depressed and crying.’ Everything is supposed to be a fantasy version of that. So I always had a really hard time figuring out, ‘Am I doing enough? Do I look like I’m going to die?’”

Taylor Lautner, who plays Jacob, agrees with Stewart that this book turned movie is probably the most intimidating and very complicated, stating that there is a lot of heartbreak. And Jacob’s heartbreak isn’t much easier than Bella’s.

Per MTV:

“Edward leaves at the beginning and she goes into this depression, I come to try and bring her out of it. Then I go through my own issues, and then she leaves me. It’s all over the place, and there’s a lot going on and there’s many of those scenes that you described. Well, we call it the break-up scene — but it’s the scene right after she sees me shirtless and I’ve cut off my hair, all different for the first time,” he says. “I have to tell her that we can’t be friends anymore.”

Fans will gain a better understanding of the heartache when the film opens on November 20. Hey Kristen, if its that hard I’m available to step in!

‘New Moon’ Nudity War

New MoonNudity… did anyone else’s heart just skip a beat? Actor Jamie Campbell Bower told MTV that New Moon will feature a scene unlike any other Twilight moment – three cast members will get completely naked. Nope, you didn’t read that wrong. I said completely naked!

Per MTV:

“We just all sit there, completely naked, for one scene,” revealed “New Moon” actor Jamie Campbell Bower, talking about a racy moment that was added into the upcoming film. “Yeah, it’s me, Michael Sheen and Christopher [Heyerdahl]; we just sit there, naked.”

Are you kidding me? Are you serious?? In the film, Bower plays Caius, an evil member of the Volturi vampire clan while Sheen plays their leader Aro and Heyerdahl plays Marcus. In the scene a fully clothed Dr. Carlisle, played by Peter Facinelli, visits the Volturi and stumbles upon the three in a bathhouse.

jamie-campbell-bower-nudity

Per MTV:

“It’s a full-body shot, and then Peter comes in, and it all gets a bit awkward,” Bower said. “[Carlisle] is clothed completely. They’re bathing in sort of a Roman bath kind of thing.”

Wait… what? I don’t remember this from the book. It sounds hot… but a little hard to believe! And apparently, with good reason! It just simply does not happen – in the book, or the movie! At least, according to director Chris Weitz, who seems a tad bit infuriated by Bowers’ statements and has released a statement debunking Bower’s claim of any such scene.

Per Twilight Source:

Dear all,

I would like to put everyone’s mind at rest and let them know that the Volturi are not naked! Jamie (Campbell-Bower) has what you might call a dry sense of humor and almost managed to convince me — which is why he’s such a good actor. Anyway, be assured that, even though we do want the look of the Volturi to be a bit of a surprise, they are always — as in the book! — fully clothed.

best,
Chris Weitz

Shame on you Jamie!! You broke one of the ten Twi-Commandments – Thou shall not give us false information/hope! Darn that dry British humor… But fear not, Twi-hards – There will still be plenty of male flesh on the screen in the form of Taylor Lautners’ Jacob taking off his shirt, and Robert Pattinsons’ Edward with his porcelain-white chiseled abs! Now that right there is better than naked Volturi anyday!

Completely ‘Lost’ Recap: ‘The Incident’ (Season Finale)

Seriously. I don’t even know where to begin. “The Incident” delivered some answers, and, in true “Lost” style, created about 100 new questions that at this point in time I believe will never be answered. Right? Who is with me? They will never answer all the questions they have created. But, I will get to that later.

What “Lost” also did this week was give me a major headache. Last week, I talked about vintage “Lost”; the kinds of episodes that have everyone at work talking the next day and not doing a damn thing work related. This week went beyond that. At approximately 5:30 AM this morning, my husband woke me up shouting theories about ghosts and Jesus. This is not what I want to do at 5:30 AM. Or is it?

Perhaps this is the real purpose of “Lost”. It’s bringing co-workers together (though unproductively) and it’s creating lines of communication in marriages that did not exist prior.
It is sad though. Sad that I will have NOTHING to watch until the year 2010 which sounds very, very far away at this point. And it’s sad to know that when I do see “Lost” again, that’s it: the final season. What am I going to do on Wednesdays? We are going to be reduced to watching the type of shows people who aren’t smart enough to watch “Lost” watch…I won’t list any names, but Tyra Banks is likely associated with it in some way.

With that said, let’s try to dissect this, shall we?

Alex Meraz ‘New Moon’ Interview – Video

Dear “Twilight” Fans: You know that it would take a lot for me to switch to the darkside and become Team Wolf as opposed to Team Vampire. However, Alex Meraz may just be the werewolf that gets me to switch it up.

We told you about this piece of man meat joining the “New Moon” cast over a week ago. If you have forgotten, read about him by clicking here.

It seems my favorite wolfman isn’t camera shy either. While attending that other guy’s movie premiere for “17 Again”, Meraz gave Access Hollywood a brief interview. In it, he talks about the rest of the cast, fans, “New Moon” director Chris Weitz, oh yea, and his nearly nude scenes.

Anyone know where I can get a “Team Paul” shirt?

Five Reasons “New Moon” Will Be Better Than “Twilight”

The benefit that most sequels have is that the main characters and their relationships have already been established. This leaves the door open for deeper exploration of the story and characters as the each actor has grown into the roles. For an actor, it is all about the interpretation of a character on paper and the transfer of emotion to the screen. A novel can describe emotion, feelings, and settings but a film has to show it. In the case of “New Moon,” fans should feel more of what they felt from the books now that Twilight is out of the way and the story can unfold. And anyone who has read “New Moon” knows just how gut-wrenching this story is! In the “Twilight” sequel, Bella and Edward’s relationship has already been established. But, like any relationship, the introduction of another conflict plays an important role on the pairs love. Without giving too much away beyond Edward and Bella, the impact Jacob Black has on the story creates a huge conflict. Loyalties will be put to the test while the choices of right and wrong are pitted against those of want and need. Much like a second book in a trilogy, “New Moon” will cut to the chase in a way fans can already identify with via new character dynamics while delving deeper into the complexities of love.

With casting for “New Moon” in full swing and the start of filming only weeks away, there’s been much buzz surrounding the possible addition of a highly recognizable name in Hollywood for the role of Jane. Dakota Fanning, former child star turned young movie star, is only 15 and yet would be perfect for the role she’s been almost-confirmed for! Fanning has worked alongside such stars as Tom Cruise, Denzel Washington and Sean Penn and knows the acting world inside and out. If she is indeed cast in the vampire saga Fanning would be one of the biggest name attached to the film, even more than some of her recently popular “Twilight” co-stars. Although many fans have questioned whether Fanning for role of Jane is the right choice, Dakota brings to the table some A-list acting experience. What we do know is that she can act and the addition of Dakota Fanning could only raise the acting game of the entire cast to make them better. How well fans receive Fanning as Jane may be a different story.

Stephenie Meyer herself wrote about how much the character of Edward had cemented his own personality and character in such a way that changing his essence would be like changing his physicality. It just could not be done. Edward’s role in “New Moon” is as much about his character as it is a necessity in the relationship he has with Bella. No great love story would be complete without a special, magical bond that’s sometimes painful on many levels and it doesn’t get any better than with a love-struck teenage girl and a broody vampire.

The success of “New Moon” over “Twilight” lies in the ability of actors to inhabit their characters on a deeper level. What Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson bring to Bella and Edward for “New Moon” will require more than just reading lines from a page. “Twilight” showed us the magic of an inevitable love story and “New Moon” will continue the saga in a deeper way. It’s the love story that will force Pattinson and Stewart to go deeper inside themselves as actors than they did in “Twilight.” Usually when people reach deep and go beyond their comfort zones, good things happen. In this case, it will all be in the name of love. Although “Twilight” was filmed in the Pacific Northwest of the United States, mainly in Washington St. and Oregon, heading north to Vancouver, British Columbia can only benefit in a couple of ways. First, Vancouver is perfect for the tone and atmosphere of “New Moon” since it rains so much. Although Washington, Oregon, and Vancouver all fit the franchise well, the dreary scenery in ‘Twilight” was able to set the tone of the novel. Vancouver will bring that in broody spades. Second, with the slumping economy director Chris Weitz and crew will get more mileage out of the American dollar in exchange, which should afford the production a few more tricks and effects that “Twilight” wasn’t able to incorporate purely for financial reasons. Who knows what cost savings will add to “New Moon”, but it’s better than not having enough to work with. Lets hope they do right by the scene in Italy when Edward steps out into the sun! Half of the mystery of Edward and his family lies in their ability to live in shadow and Vancouver provides the perfect backdrop with darker forests and overcast skies. Let’s just hope the crew can keep the rabid fans off the set… Myself included!
