The rumor mill is taking a moment to throw Jennifer Love Hewitt a pity party. The “Ghost Whisperer” reportedly dumped “Scream” weirdo Jamie Kennedy. The story behind the split states that Hewitt caught Jamie cheating with his ex, Shannon Funk.

Famecaster: “Word on the street that Jennifer Love Hewitt saw me walking around the streets of Hollywood with mythical powers in my man guns (she ran up to me) to show her that Jamie Kennedy has been cheating on her with his ex-girlfriend, Shannon Funk.”

Perez Hilton: “Impeccable sources (no, not her) reveal exclusively to PerezHilton.com that Jamie Kennedy has been cheating on Jennifer Love Hewitt with his ex-girlfriend, Shannon Funk.”

You never know…these “impeccable sources” may be that hobo outside of In and Out Burger who tries to guess your age by feeling your boobs. The only reason this is really relevant is because Funk was briefly a Britney Spears minion. She was an assistant for Spears and therefore twice as scandalous.

Jennifer Love Hewitt Engaged to Jamie Kennedy- No, Really!

That was fast!! Congratulations are in order for Jennifer Love Hewitt & Jamie Kennedy – I guess? The couple spontaneously became engaged Saturday night at at the Laugh Factory in Long Beach, California, while on stage in front of the entire crowd. This comes after only a mere 8 months since she ended her last engagement. So just how many engagements does this make for Jennifer now?

About two hours into his set, Jamie called Jennifer up on stage to tell some jokes and to do a little singing. Somewhere in the audience a person shouted “Marry her!” up to Kennedy, who took the opportunity to get down on one knee and ask for her hand in marriage. And what did she say? Why, yes of course! This is Jennifer Love Hewitt – Engagements are her thing!

Per NY Post:

“It was a standing ovation,” said our source.

Gee, I guess Jamie out to be glad this happened within her timeline! (Read about that here.) So is it true, or was it just a quick added part to his routine? No word yet from their people or the show if the engagement actually stuck, but I wouldn’t be waiting for pictures of a flashy ring just yet. It could very well just be part of a joke – and if so I hope he’s had enough common sense to come clean about it already cause she’s probably already called the wedding planner and told him to pick up from where she ended her last one!

Jennifer Love Hewitt Gives Engagement Ultimatum

Well they’ve been together for a whole whopping 3 months now, so it must be time to start talking marriage! Jennifer Love Hewitt says she wants to be engaged by this time next year to boyfriend Jamie Kennedy… Or else! Both Jennifer and Jamie were on the “JohnJay and Rich” radio show in Los Angeles yesterday when the rumors of an engagement between the pair was brought up.

Per Us:

“A rumor has come out that Jamie and I supposedly got engaged,” Jennifer said after the two were spotted at a Las Vegas jewelry shop buying a small ring. When her boyfriend heard the engagement reports, “the poor guy was on fire,” she went on. “He was like, ‘No, no, no. That’s not true!’” I was like, ‘God, would that be the worst thing in the world?! Excuse me, but just for a second, there’s a line of people who would probably be OK with that [rumor].’”

Kennedy said he didn’t mean to upset his girlfriend. “The thing is, people asked me, ‘Are you engaged?’ And I just said, ‘No, not at the moment, I’d be a very lucky man,’” he said. “And she got mad at me!”

Jamie then asked Jennifer, who split from fiance Ross McCall late last year, if she could provide him with some kind of timeline for their relationship, and Jennifer told him she expected him to propose by this time next year, or there will be “a situation”… And Jamie didn’t go screaming for the hills… Hmmm – maybe this ones a keeper!

Jamie Kennedy and Jennifer Love Hewitt Confirm Dating Rumors!

Jennifer Love Hewitt is madly in love with Jamie Kennedy. According to Kennedy, he and Jen are a couple and are in a relationship. While on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show, the comedian confirmed that he and Hewitt are “deeply in love” and compares their relationship to Edward Cullen and Bella Swan.

Kennedy: I’m just gonna say it, yes. Yes, we are dating. We just broke it here right now. Wow.
Seacrest: Ok, so say: “I Jamie Kennedy am dating Jennifer Love Hewitt.”
Kennedy: I Jamie Kennedy am dating…well we are more than dating.”
Seacrest: Are you engaged?
Kennedy: We’re not engaged. But we’re more than in love. We are….Holy God. I feel like Edward. I watch her sleep at night! No, really, ahhh….You know…I don’t know. We have an intense connection
Seacrest: She’s your Bella.
Kennedy: She is my Bella.

They met on the set of her show, “Ghost Whisperer” and had connection according to rumors. He joined the cast last fall and have spent their days working together and their nights “hanging out.” He makes her laugh according to sources. She recently broke off her engagement to Ross McCall and Jamie is helping her heal.

“She’s trying to keep her relationship with Jamie a secret, telling people they’re just friends, but she can’t hide her true feelings. They work together all day and hang out most nights. And when they aren’t together, they’re constantly on the phone… Jamie makes (her) laugh, which she really appreciates after crying over Ross the last few months.”

Hello rebound! Poor guy. I bet he thinks strippers love him too.
