Don’t be fooled by the rocks she’s got…she’s in need of a new record label.
Actress/singer/annoying pain Jennifer Lopez has been dropped by Sony Entertainment, her record label.
Lopez tried her darndest to make a musical comeback last year when she released the song ‘Louboutins’ and then promptly fell on her royal rump while perfoming the number at November’s ‘American Music Awards.’
According to her rep, Benny Medina, the split was good for both parties.
“Jennifer had a wonderful relationship with the Sony Music group, and they have shared many successes together, but the time was right to make a change that best serves the direction her career as an actress and recording artist. She is grateful and appreciative to everyone Sony for all that they accomplished together.”
However, insiders are claiming that the drop by Sony was due to her contract fulfillment.
Lopez’s newest album, ‘Love?,’ was originally set to be released in April. However, insiders are claiming the album was never finished and we’ll likely not see it until Lopez signs with a new label. She is slated to host ‘Saturday Night Live’ this weekend.
