When Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger announced they were splitting up there wasn’t a mention of if they’d be heading to divorce court. But as you can imagine after all that’s come out in the last few days regarding Arnold’s affair with the housekeeper and the love child, the table seems to have turned. Maria hasn’t filed for divorce just yet, but she’s hired the big guns when it comes to divorce lawyers.
Does Jordan Bratman have a voodoo doll? In the latest instance of bad news for Christina Aguilera – which follows not long after her infamous Super Bowl flub, her Grammy spill, and getting arrested for public intoxication – new lawsuit claims Sony Music hasn’t paid the rightful owner for the sample of the 1968 song ‘Hippy Skippy Moon Strut‘ (also known as ‘I’ll Be A Lucky Man‘) by Dave Cortez and the Moon People used in her 2006 single ‘Ain’t No Other Man‘.

According to a federal lawsuit filed in New York, the classic song’s exclusive rights have been owned by TufAmerica since 2004. However, Sony Music went through Codigo Music and the Clyde Otis Music Group in order for Aguilera to sample the song on her album.
Christina’s label Sony reportedly cleared the rights to the song with the wrong owner! TufAmerica has now filed a lawsuit against Sony demanding they be declared the rightful owners of the song and be paid restitution as well. Fairly easy mistake to make considering the rights to song tracks are constantly being bought and sold.

Since she announced she gave Jordan Bratman his I QUIT YOU papers, Christina has become the LA version of Snooki. She has been drinking like Lindsay Lohan the minute after the monitoring bracelet comes off and even passed out drunk in Jeremy Renner’s bed. (Click HERE for the full story on that…)
Aguilera was arrested at 2:45 morning for public intoxication and her boyfriend was also thrown in jail for driving under the influence. TMZ says that cops pulled over Matthew Rutler and he was arrested for the DUI. Christina was so drunk that she couldn’t take care of herself and they arrested her.
“According to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department, Rutler’s bail was set at $30,000. On the booking report, Aguilera was listed at 5’2″ and 100 pounds. However, a source adds, “If the driver had NOT been arrested for DUI, [Christina] would have never been in trouble.”
100 pounds? That was just her foundation/lipstick weight right? Anyway, Christina is developing a rap sheet with alcohol and it was even rumored that drinking led her to screw up the lyrics to the National Anthem during the Super Bowl. (Click HERE for more on that…) Friends reportedly want to have an intervention and send her off to rehab, but Xtina threw her hand up, bobbed her head and said ‘Hell NAW!’ to that and threatened to have any staff member who takes part in that mess fired.

UPDATE: Christina was released around 7:30 this morning after spending the early morning hours in the drunk tank. She will not be prosecuted. The police took her into custody for “her own safety.”

The celebrity baby rumor mills are a turnin’ and turnin’. The latest rumor to kick into high gear again involves Christina Aguilera – Her and her husband, Jordan Bratman, announced last month that they were getting divorced. Christina said they grew apart and just weren’t happy anymore, but other sources said she cheated on him. Well now Christina’s got a new man in her life, Matt Rutler, who met on the set of Christina’s recent movie ‘Burlesque.’ They seem to be moving very fast for a couple that supposedly just got together, but maybe there’s a reason…

She’s been swearing up and down that the two didn’t make a connection until after her split from Bratman—but new pics prove the two were really close on the set of Burlesque. The pics—taken back in February—show Rutler was never far from Christina’s side on the set. Sources are saying the two were intimate prior to her split announcement, and that there may be even be a bun in the oven!
If her American Music Awards appearance didn’t make you wonder if there’s a bun in the oven, perhaps the latest pics of her in Tokyo promoting her movie may do the trick. She’s battled weight issues in the past, so maybe she’s just going through a bit of a thick spell. But she seems to have gained her weight in all the spots a woman whose pregnant typically would – face, boobs, and the belly.
Check out the pictures and be the judge. Is Christina expecting? It could explain why her and her new man are in such a rush to meet the parents. But the big question is – how preggers is she and is it Matt’s baby? If it is well that would just prove that the cheating rumors are true.

It was one of several big divorces this year, Christina Aguilera and husband Jordan Bratman decided to call it quits. Both parties have been quiet about the situation even with speculation of cheating on her part. It was actually shocking that they would split because they seemed very much in love and just had a child within the last couple years. In the latest issue of ‘People,’ the ‘Burlesque’ star opens up about the reasons why she decided to leave Bratman and how she believes it will benefit her family in the end.
“Things were so unhealthy and unhappy for both Jordan and me, I knew I had to end it,” the Burlesque star, 29, tells PEOPLE in an exclusive interview. “I really didn’t want to hurt Jordan, and I felt torn about splitting our family up.”
Aguilera witnessed abuse by her parents while she was growing up and felt like her relationship was leading to unhealthy thing for her son, Max, to see.
“When you’re unhappy in your marriage, your children are the ones who suffer,” says the Grammy-winning pop singer, whose own parents’ tumultuous relationship led to divorce when she was 7. “That’s the last thing I wanted for my son.”
Since the split she has a hit movie out and is currently dating set assistant Matt Rutler that she met while filming ‘Burlesque’. Which may actually fuel the cheating rumors because the movie was filmed last year… and the divorce is only a couple months old. Hmmmmmm!

The plot thickens in the Christina Aguilera divorce saga.
Rumors state that she cheated on Jordan Bratman, but she was the one to file for the split. It sounded odd and even made TMZ dub it an “interesting twist” when the announcement came on October 14th, 2010 that Aguilera filed for divorce.
There might be a reason behind an ER trip for a busted lip. Just days before made the announcement that she was divorcing Bratman, she was at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre having her lip stitched up.
Per Radar Via The Sun:
“A witness said: ‘Christina was bleeding from her mouth and had a bit of a busted lip. Jordan told the nurses she had fallen down.”
According to the witness, Christina was sporting “bumps and red bruises” along with her bloodied lip. “Shortly after they arrived to Cedars, Christina’s ‘private surgeon’ arrived to put a few stitches in her lip,” the unnamed witness added.
It gives the impression that some sort of physically violent fight took place although there is no concrete proof. This allegation also follows the rumors that Aguilera is playing part-time lesbian and prefers the company of Samantha Ronson to her husband. (Click HERE for that rumor.) So let your powers of deduction decide.
I find it hard to believe that he would hit her, but it’s not as though I have them over for themed dinner parties or we call each other to discuss Project Runway every Thursday. Aguilera also had an extremely abusive father which may or may not be some sort of factor. (I don’t have Dr. Phil over for dim sum either.) Xtina hasn’t commented on the details, but one reoccurring rumor is that she cheated. So all that is being suggested doesn’t have much merit. In the photo I cannot see any other bruises or signs of altercations aside from a small red mark below her bottom lip. Also, photos from WENN taking the same day show no red marks under her lip as she shops for pumpkins with her son Max.
Photoshop? Covergirl? Seems fishy to me…

So much for trying to work it out, huh? Just days after confirming that she had separated from her husband Jordan Bratman, Christina Aguilera has filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the break-up.
Per TMZ:
According to the divorce docs, there is a prenup. The divorce petition asks that “Earnings and accumulations of [Aguilera] before marriage, during marriage and from and after the date of separation” be considered separate property.
Although Christina is willing to share custody of her 2-year-old son Max with Bratman, her petition asks for her soon-to-be-ex to be unable to request child support. In a statement post her separation, Aguilera said that Max was still the first priority in their lives.
Let’s see if these two will play nice.
