I don’t really read magazines anymore. Why would you when you have dirty hobos willing to exchange celebrity gossip for fried chicken? However, they still exist and when you put Joseph Gordon Levitt on the cover, I will make me hand over $3.95 with a smile on my face. (Mostly due to the impure thoughts that generate upon seeing him all polished and buttoned up just begging to be mussed.)
GQ did a spread on Joe just in time to pimp ‘The Dark Knight Rises.’ In the interview he talks about his youth, trying to avoid becoming a “hopeless ivory-tower douchebag” and his brother. According to the mag, he mentions Burning Dan briefly and skips his cause of death. Obviously Levitt likes to keep his private life well guarded and the loss of a sibling isn’t something you want to tread on. The writer, Amy Wallace, mentioned the loss and gave it a “drug overdose” label. It’s true that whatever took his life was never really made public, but it’s none of our business. After the interview was published, Joe hopped on Tumblr to set things straight…
