Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Team Up For Music Video

…And it wasn’t for a Kanye West song either – it was for Kim Kardashians’! Kardashian is ready to expand her brand and make an album full of music for you and yours. She wants to make sure it sells so she’s bringing in the big guns to make it happen. Kardashian shot the video for the upcoming single off her new album with West and secured The-Dream as one of her production crew. They filmed on December 28th in Los Angeles with music director Hype Williams.

Per TMZ:

Sources connected to the video tell us … Hype — the most famous music video director on the planet — spent hours working with Kim and Kanye during a secret closed set shoot.

As we previously reported, Kim is working on an entire studio album with super-producer The Dream — but it’s unclear when the world will finally get a chance to hear KK’s voice.

Kardashian mentioned in the past that she would be honored to work with West on her musical ventures. A working title and release date have not been revealed at this point. Sources say “Kim actually has a great singing voice” and that “We might be surprised.”

I’m dying to hear Kim’s hot new single just for the LOL’Z! Prepare yourself for some serious auto-tuning – her music will be just as fake as the rest of her!

Kanye West Booed At Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade – Video

Kanye West, who we all know isn’t low on ‘haters’ and upset fans, received a somewhat ‘icy cold’ welcome and was booed by some un-happy New Yorkers at the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City on Thursday.

Per RollingStone:

As the float approaches, the crowd can be heard yelling things like “You’re an a**hole, buddy” and “Jump!” They also repeatedly shout Taylor Swift’s first name.

Making the situation even more intense, “Today” show host Matt Lauer introduced Kanye before he performed a brief version of his song “Lost in the World” at the end of the parade route. Though there was no mention of the tension between the two, in which Kanye blasted Matt Lauer on Twitter, it was still a little ironic that after Kanye refused to perform on the “Today” show, he couldn’t avoid being introduced by Matt Lauer at the Macy’s parade anyway.

Sweet justice? Karma? I don’t know what it is, but it’s pretty darn funny!

Kanye West’s Speech In New York

At a concert in New York, Kanye West addressed the crowd for close to ten minutes and talked about Matt Lauer & The Today Show, George Bush, Taylor Swift & the success of his new album.

If you care to and have the spare time you can watch the full video below:

Per PopEater:

A larger chunk of West’s monologue:

Everybody needs a villain, don’t we? We need to blame someone at all times. For me to be considered a racist for stating a blatant truth, an obvious truth, but the nuances of my words, because I am very particular with my words, and the emotion I felt at that time wasn’t worded exactly right — but everybody came and said ‘Oh my God!”…

I was emotional, that was not exactly the way I wanted to word it, but I wrote it, I rode it, just as Taylor never came to my defense in any interview, and rode the waves and rode it and rode it, that’s the way I rode the waves of the Bush comment. I rode it. It’s not about popular opinion. It’s about when you look in your heart, and know what’s right and what’s wrong. When you look in your heart, look at what the media did, look at how they exploited him, they said that he said it was his lowest moment and as a mass, as America, we took that as a fact.

Kanye… LET. IT. GO. Move on! He says he looks into his heart before he opens his mouth. I guess that tells us a lot about what his heart is made up of. Can someone tell this guy to only open his mouth to sing?

Jay-Z Is Defending Kanye West

With George W. Bush out promoting a book and Kanye West promoting an album, Kanye’s now-infamous Hurricane Katrina line, “George Bush doesn’t care about black people” is back in the news. In a series of ‘Today’ show interviews, Bush called Kanye’s statement disgusting. Kanye said he understood how Bush felt and Bush said he appreciated Kanye’s apology – and then Kanye got really angry at Matt Lauer. Anyways, in a radio interview yesterday Jay-Z defended Kanye’s initial comment, which was made during a telethon for Hurricane Katrina relief back in 2005.

Per MTV:

“It was bad timing, but it was absolutely an honest emotion,” he said. “We all felt like that. We didn’t feel like Katrina was a natural disaster. We felt like it as an attack on black people. All you saw was black people on the roof with HELP signs. … White people felt like that.”

Interestingly enough, Jay-Z also blamed “bad timing” for the backlash against Kanye’s interruption of Taylor Swift at last year’s “MTV Video Music Awards”. Oh, and he seems to agree that Beyonce‘s video was better than Taylor’s.

“If we look back, everyone would agree that he was right. It was bad timing. It was not her fault. It’s not Taylor Swift’s fault. She didn’t nominate … she didn’t elect herself. She just sat there and she had a dream and she’s seeing that dream being realized, and he had the same dream, so he realizes that now. He was fighting for the integrity of the award, and he knows how hard he works on his videos. It was bad timing, but we agreed.”

Of course he agreed. He’s MARRIED to Beyonce. We should ask Taylor’s mom who had the better video. I wonder what she’d say?

Lady Gaga Fragrance On The Way

There’s a whole slew of celebrity fragrances hitting the market in the new year. Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Kanye West, and Taylor Swift have all announced their new ventures into the beauty worlds in the last month. But if you were hoping to one day smell like Lady Gaga you’re going to have to wait a while. Gaga has signed a deal with Coty to launch a fragrance line in the spring of 2012. The perfume is yet to be named but according to Red Pages, the singer and her Haus of Gaga team will be working closely on the project.

Per AHN:

“The marketing behind Lady Gaga’s fragrance will be unprecedented and groundbreaking,” said Steve Mormoris, Sr. VP of Global Marketing for Coty Beauty. “We are working toward distilling the brilliance of Lady Gaga into a fragrance that delivers a breathtaking olfactory experience and a timeless, enduring packaging design that is part of Lady Gaga’s overall artistic sensibility.”

I love me some Lady Gaga, but I don’t think I want to smell like her. Hopefully the design team from Haus of Gaga won’t incorporate the smell that was coming off of her infamous meat dress from the VMA’s.

Kanye West Gets Emotional On ‘Today Show’ – Video

Kanye West is musically talented, but often times his bog mouth gets him in trouble. The 2009 MTV VMA incident, the Hurricane Katrina Telethon, and things he’s said on his twitter account have left a bad taste in many people’s mouths. Well Kanye sat down and talked to Matt Lauer on the ‘Today Show‘ this morning to discuss some of the controversy. At one point in the interview it looked like he was getting a bit choked up.

The interview was pre-taped and apparently Kanye was very upset by the teaser the Today Show played a few days ago that he took to twitter and posted a big rant!

Per MTV:

“While I was trying to give the interview they started playing the ‘MTV’ under me with audio!!!!!!!,” he wrote, before firing off a string of emotionally charged tweets about his hurt feelings. “I don’t mess with Matt Lauer or the Today Show … and that’s a very nice way for me to put it! … HE TRIED TO FORCE MY ANSWERS. IT WAS VERY BRUTAL AND I CAME THERE WITH ONLY POSITIVE INTENT … I feel very alone very used very tortured very forced very misunderstood very hollow very very misused … I don’t trust anyone but myself! Everyone has an agenda. I don’t do press anymore. I can’t be everything to everybody anymore … I can’t be everybody’s hero and villain savior and sinner Christian and anti Christ! … I can’t take anymore advice!!! I create, I’m creative, I have a good heart, everyone will see and understand one day.”

He’s in showbiz, he’s a celebrity, and he choose to go in front of cameras and be interviewed. What did he think would happen? If he can’t take the heat he shouldn’t be cooking in that kitchen! In all seriousness, Kanye seems to need MAJOR anger management. He’s obviously either dealing with some underlying issues or is just really that much of an arrogant jerk.

Kanye West’s In Flight Performance – Video

Imagine you’re flying off to your vacation or going to see some family members and you notice you’re on the same flight as… Kanye West? Ok, you may be surprised he’s flying with the rest of us normal folks instead of flying in a 5 star 56, but that’s how he rolls. Friday, Kanye was flying from Minneapolis to New York City. He picked up the intercom in first class about 30 minutes into the flight and performed some of his songs “The Good Life” and “Gold Digger.”

Per USA Today:

“I had to pass through first class to get to my seat in economy, and I saw Kanye sitting there with a little drink in his hand,” a passenger told the website. “He couldn’t decide if he wanted to do ‘The Good Life’ or ‘Gold Digger,’ so he was like, ‘I’ll just do a little bit of both.’”

How strange – a train wreck on an airplane… Good thing he didn’t go completely all “Taylor Swift at the MTV Awards” and try to grab the controls and fly the plane.

Taylor Swift Vs. Kanye West Part Two

It looks like the competition between Taylor Swift and Kanye West will continue into the new year. But this time they won’t be duking it out on stage or trying to outsell each other with their music. This competition will be coming to a department store near you. Yesterday the news came out that Taylor would be releasing her own fragrance in 2011. She’s partnered with Elizabeth Arden to create something unique.

Per MTV:

“I have always loved how fragrance can shape a memory, the way certain scents remind you of events and people that are imprinted in your thoughts,” Swift said in the press release announcing the fragrance deal. “Lately I’ve been having fun experimenting with combining some of my favorite scents, so I’m really excited about working with Elizabeth Arden to develop my own unique fragrance.”

Well today Kanye has announced that he too will be releasing his own fragrance in 2011. There aren’t too many details, but we know it will be in conjunction with Jay-Z’s fragrance line.

Per Contact Music:

The rapper is releasing his scent with the US firm ‘Parlux‘ in association with JAY-Z’s ‘Iconic Fragrances‘ company.

Just what will Kanye’s scent smell like? Super sized ego and douche is my guess.

George Bush: Kanye West’s Comments Were ‘Worst Moment of Presidency’

There are three things I hate to talk about…politics, religion and Kanye West. So I will let George Bush handle this one…

Bush was having a chat with Matt Lauer for a prime time interview for A Very Special Matt Lauer Reports on NBC Nov. 8. George is pimping his new book “Decision Points” and discussed “the worst moment of his Presidency” and it wasn’t one of the many catastrophes that claimed thousands of lives….it was Kanye West calling him racist.

Via EW:

“He called me a racist,” Bush tells Lauer. “And I didn’t appreciate it then. I don’t appreciate it now. It’s one thing to say, ‘I don’t appreciate the way he’s handled his business.’ It’s another thing to say, ‘This man’s a racist.’ I resent it, it’s not true.”

Lauer quotes from Bush’s new book: “Five years later I can barely write those words without feeling disgust.” Lauer adds, “You go on: ‘I faced a lot of criticism as President. I didn’t like hearing people claim that I lied about Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction or cut taxes to benefit the rich. But the suggestion that I was racist because of the response to Katrina represented an all-time low.’

President Bush responds: “Yeah. I still feel that way as you read those words. I felt ‘em when I heard ‘em, felt ‘em when I wrote ‘em and I felt ‘em when I’m listening to ‘em.

Lauer: “You say you told Laura at the time it was the worst moment of your Presidency?”

Bush: “Yes. My record was strong I felt when it came to race relations and giving people a chance. And it was a disgusting moment.”

Matt isn’t an idiot and outsmarted by a Waldo and pointed out the death, destruction and suffering in Louisiana should be what he focused on…not what one groundlessly arrogant, and ignorant celeb has to say…

Lauer: “I wonder if some people are going to read that, now that you’ve written it, and they might give you some heat for that. And the reason is this — “
Bush [interrupting]: “Don’t care.”

Lauer: “Well, here’s the reason. You’re not saying that the worst moment in you’re Presidency was watching the misery in Louisiana. You’re saying it was when someone insulted you because of that.”

Bush: “No, and I also make it clear that the misery in Louisiana affected me deeply as well. There’s a lot of tough moments in the book. And it was a disgusting moment, pure and simple.”

Like I said, I hate to talk politics, religion and Kanye, BUT if I were President I would say the worst moment of my time as leader would be seeing my nation fail at preventing terrorist from using planes we taught them to fly to attack us and the devastating loss of life that resulted…NOT what some rapper with daddy issues had to say about another equally horrible time of suffering.

Jay-Z and Kanye West To Release Joint Album

It could be one of the most epic rap albums in history! Jay-Z and Kanye West are teaming up to release a joint album. It originally started as a single song collaboration but quickly turned into a melding of genius minds – Their ‘Watch the Throne‘ project has grown into a full-length album. West originally announced this summer that he and his mentor were recording a five-song EP together. But in a new video interview with MTV, West revealed they have enough music for a longer release.

Per MTV:

“We putting out a whole album now,” Kanye told MTV News’ Sway Calloway. “We had done five [songs] so far, but then a few of them kind of were out there, and I put them on my album. Sorry, Jay. But we got some more, and we’re going to the South of France at the end of the month to just record new ideas. But we’ll probably be done with the album in a day.”

No other details have been released about the project but I can’t wait to hear it put together. This could be one of the greatest rap albums ever, or a giant flop which happens a lot when to heavyweights come together.
