Amy Adams Scores Lois Lane Role

The adorable Amy Adams has been cast as Lois Lane in the ‘Superman’ reboot. The 36 year red head was given the role after a slew of auditions from formidable fellow actresses. Rumors even saw Twilight saga’s starlet, Kristen Stewart, as the front-runner for the role. (Sorry, Twihards. I am breathing a sigh of relief that she won’t be Lois. I get enough one dimensional angst filled lip biting in the Twilight movies.)
The casting has been a long process that has been taken in cautious steps. The failure of the last Man of Steel film, ‘Superman Returns,’ took a $70 million loss and has fans wary of yet another remake. Kate Bosworth was the last to play Lois Lane as Brandon Routh donned the tights and cape.
Amy has been dubbed “perfect” for filling the shoes of Lois. Henry Cavill was announced as the new Superman a few Zack Snyder, the director of the revamp, broke the news to Amy while he was in Paris promoting his latest film, “Sucker Punch.”
Per Hero Complex:
“There was a big, giant search for Lois,” Snyder said. “For us it was a big thing and obviously a really important role. We did a lot of auditioning but we had this meeting with Amy Adams and after that I just felt she was perfect for it.”
No plot details have been ironed out, but the director did share some of the details of his vision…
“It goes back to what I’ve said about Superman and making him really understandable for today. What’s important to us is making him relevant and real and making him empathetic to today’s audience so that we understand the decisions he makes. That applies to Lois as well. She has to be in the same universe as him [in tone and substance].”

I was never a Kate Bosworth fan. She always looks hungry and probably nibbles on napkins at dinner parties….and she got to ride Orlando Bloom around like a pony at the fair when he was hot. (I admit, I had a huge thang for him. Then I saw “Troy” and that was the end to my lust.)
Kate has been tapping the assets of Alexander Skarsgard (he is rumored to like his tricks frail). Us Weekly (print edition) is reporting that Bosworth cheated on Skarsgard last month while visiting her family in Massachusetts. The rag claims she heard the news of Orlando’s engagement to Miranda Kerr and sought comfort in some familiar peen. Instead of being grateful she dodged that baby bullet, Kate jumped on an old high school boyfriend.
Reps are saying “they are just good friends” and no sexy times took place between Kate and her old boyfriend. I believe the reps. I’m sure it was unsexy times that ended with her crying in the bathroom and calling Orly and hanging up as soon as he answered as the ex boyfriend knocked on the door and told her he had to get back to work the late shift at Taco Bell.

Kate Bosworth Sinks Her Man-Claws Into Alexander Skarsgard

Before the rumors can be stomped out that she was playing hide-my-tongue with Mr. Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin, Kate Bosworth has already sunk her teeth into ‘True Blood’s’ Alexander Skarsgard.
Apparently the two have been hot and heavy since filming the movie ‘Straw Dogs’ together a few months ago and Skarsgard decided to use the Golden Globes after-party scene to make his romance official.
Via Hollywood Life:
“Like the best make-out moment in any movie, the Swedish star strode up to his diminutive gal pal, put her face in his hands and gave her a longgggggggggg, slow kiss. So Hollywood! It was almost like no one else was in the room: they stood in the crowded bar area of the Beverly Hilton’s pool area kissing like the world was going to end. Hot!”
Then a breeze came up and threw all 75 lbs. of Bosworth into the pool where she proceeded to float like she was hollow.
OK. I kid, but it isn’t that far-fetched.

Chris Martin Allegedly Cheats on Gwyneth Paltrow With Kate Bosworth

Snore.
According to Star Magazine, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin was caught playing ‘Hide My Tongue’ with actress Kate Bosworth…despite the fact that he is married to Gwyneth Paltrow.
Reports that Martin has not been able to keep it in his pants have been floating around for awhile, however, back in the day, Lady G had some Hollywood pull and managed to keep their business out of the press.
Unfortunately, and if you believe Star Magazine, Martin decided to frolic about with Bosworth at a U2 concert in Las Vegas.
Via Lainey Gossip:
“Ordinarily, considering it’s Star, the immediate reaction is to dismiss. But here’s why this report might be different. Because several magazines were investigating it a few days ago. I received calls about it on Saturday from other magazines. Chris and Kate were supposedly kissing in the open at a U2 show in Vegas two weeks ago in plain view. Which means that there was more than one witness. And each witness went to a tabloid. And each tabloid was scrambling to source it. And Star Magazine beat everyone else to the punch.Because their fact checkers are faster? Heh. Needless to say, reps for all three have issued denials. Because reps NEVER EVER lie.”
As Lainey continues to point out, this lands Lady G on the cover of supermarket tabloids next to covers featuring Jon and Kate Plus 8 updates. This either means her career is officially over (sans for her small appearances in the Iron Man movies) or that she’s back.
I, however, am wondering when she ever was to begin with.

Superman “Unleashed”!!

Maybe it’s because I am an 80′s child, but I get giddy over any mention of a “Superman” movie. And heart be still, there has been mention and movement on the next “Superman” movie!! It is tentively named “Superman Unleashed” and has a killer description:
Ramping up the action of its esteemed predecessor, the sequel to ‘Superman Returns’ promises to raise the stakes and take the audience to heights of action that no other superhero movie can achieve.
There is no word on Brandon Routh returning, except for a rumor in late 2008–but I hope he does!! He’s like the most delicious eye candy!! Especially in those tights! And does anyone remember the hard time “Superman Returns” had in finding a Clark Kent? Auditioning all those potentials across the world? So Routh had better return. He’s hot, he resembles Christopher Reeve, and I enjoyed him in the role!
