Ashlee Simpson’s Hot New Look

Ashlee Simpson is almost like Kate Gosselin with her hair dos and colors. She’s done everything from short-long, black-Fire Red, but her newest look may be the hottest yet. At least her hubby Pete Wentz thinks it is. Check out Ashlee’s new Pixie blonde hair-cut and what her hubby tweeted about it.

Per X17online:

“Ashlee Simpson-Wentz (@ashsimpsonwentz) new blonde pixie haircut is cute. Ill try and sneak a pic to post.”

He followed the tweet with the photo of his wife above and their equally blond son Bronx, adding, “Yah fam headed out tonight stoked! Cute hair mama!” She looks super sexy and her baby is super cute too! Guess she was hoping her hair would reflect her career… you know, short and useless.

Kate Gosselin and Sarah Palin Fascinate Barbara Walters

Barbara Walters is about to unleash her “Most Fascinating People of 2009″ list. Snore. It was a real down year by the looks of things.

In a year filled with sparkling vampires, balloon boys, and many celebrity deaths, Walters has chosen to profile Kate Gosselin and Sarah Palin as “fascinating.” Really.

Via US Weekly:

“American Idol veteran Adam Lambert – who most recently stirred controversy after a sexually charged performance at the American Music Awards last month — is also among the top 10. Lady Gaga, NFL star Brett Favre, Tyler Perry, Fox News host Glenn Beck and Jenny Sanford — the wife of philandering South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford – will also be interviewed by Walters.”

So, apparently if you are labeled a hermaphrodite, come out of retirement twice, or have a philandering husband, you can make the list. Duly noted Walters.

Jon Gosselin Getting Owned By Nancy Grace – Video

Oh man, this was probably one of the best LOLtastic moments I have seen lately! Prosecutor-turned-TV host Nancy Grace grilled Jon Gosselin on “The Insider” Monday night about his bitter divorce from his estranged wife Kate, leaving poor Jon looking as if he was about to soil himself. Grace questions Jon’s motive to pull the plug on the family’s reality show now and bashed him for the parade of women coming in and out of his door.

Per PopEater:

“For years Jon, you had your children on TV on a reality show, but suddenly when it’s no longer ‘Jon & Kate Plus 8,’ it’s ‘Kate Plus 8,’ you suddenly have a problem with it and you want it all to come to an end? I don’t believe that,” Grace said.

Oh just wait kittens, it gets better! Jon responded by claiming that ‘regardless of timing, I’m their father and I will do whats best for my children.’ Oh, like waiting for the children to be asleep before boinking the nanny. How considerate of you! Grace was quick with a response!

“What’s important is the children and not these two self-absorbed husband and wife who are argue constantly in front of their children?” she continued. “Why don’t you just quit arguing and work on your marriage, wouldn’t that be a better idea?”

Grace also took shots at Jon’s reliance on his lawyer to help answer questions and slammed him for changing the topic of conversation to himself when discussing the kids., challenging him to answer why is this always about him. Grace goes on to question Jon’s motive to pull the plug on the family’s reality show now and told him that he talks the talk but doesn’t walk the walk.

“You can’t go out with one 22-year-old after the next while she’s at home with the children and say you want to work it out. That’s not working it out, Jon Gosselin,” she added.

Grace fired back one more time at Jon, claiming that he and Kate need some sort of counseling together. All in all, it was pretty good TV. Grace really came out swinging against Jon, and we finally got to see him do a bit of squirming. I wonder if Kate has as much fun watching it as the rest of us!

Celebrity Halloween Costumes

Halloween is only a month away, time to start shopping for a costume! This year, the “in” costumes are celebrity costumes that are surly to be in the likes of Marilyn Monroe, Elvis, Michael Jackson, and even Kate Gosselin. While stores are stocking up for the season, it might be a good idea to shop early as costumes such as Jackson’s are expected to be in high demand the last two weeks of October when the store business hits its peak selling period. Joe Pinzone, owner of New York’s Abracadabra Super Store, says that shoppers are looking for the “real deal” Jackson costumes.

Per PopEater:

“The sequined jacket, the pants, the whole suit, glitter socks. We got the whole outfit,” Pinzone says of his inventory.

He goes on to say that shoppers are looking more for the authentic looking costumes, willing to pay for the higher quality items rather than purchasing the more inexpensive items. Denise Dougherty Vinal, owner of the Dougherty’s Masquerade store in Syracuse, N.Y., also expects Michael Jackson costumes will the big hit this Halloween, with her store featuring the complete red leather ‘Beat It‘ costume with the curly dark wig.

No word on just how much these costumes in high demand are expected to set you back, but I’m sure the Jackson costumes will be selling like hotcakes this season! I’m sure the kiddos are even wanting to go as their favorite celebrity – I know mine are! So tell me HWDamers – what are you dressing up for as Halloween?

It Is Now ‘Jon & Kate Plus 8′ Minus Jon

Now that Kate has Jon out of her life, its about time to get him off her tv show! It a surprising yet hilarious announcement, Jon Gosselin has been dropped from “Jon and Kate Plus 8.” In other words, the womanizer has been fired from the show that made him a household name. The show will simply be renamed “Kate Plus 8.”

Per People:

“Given Jon’s recent antics, there was no way the show could continue to portray him as a doting Dad, not while all this other crap was going on,” a source close to Jon Gosselin tells PEOPLE.

I guess TLC had enough of Jons’ bed hopping and media whoring! After an initial ratings spike last spring when rumors of marital problems came about, the ratings have since dropped steadily after the show started up again in August. Jon won’t be out completely – it is being said he will still continue to to appear on the show, just on a less than regular basis. The show will now focus on their children and Kates’ role as a single mother. Jon has been rumored to be shopping around a reality show about him being a divorced Dad, while Kate recently taped a pilot for a talk show co-starring Food Network star Paula Deen in addition to filling in for Elizabeth Hasselbeck on “The View” during her maternity leave. Jons made it clear in the media lately that he’s less than interested in continuing with the show. But could he be having a change of heart? Jon is currently trying to ‘slow down’ his life a little bit, going as far as to trying to halt the divorce proceedings for 90 days to ‘regain control over the future of our family.’

Per PopEater:

“I regret my conduct since Kate and I separated … I used poor judgment in publicly socializing with other women so soon. Even though we were heading for a divorce, it appeared that Kate had been suffering from this divorce as much as I had. That’s why I asked my attorney to put the brakes on this divorce so I could try to regain control over the future of our family. So Kate and I could join on a cooperative course that would benefit our family — not destroy it,” Jon tells In Touch Weekly. “…it will enable Kate and me to restore our relationship as cooperative parents and to open up our lines of communication. I hope that she will be as receptive and enthusiastic as I am to do what is best for our family.”

Yeah, right Jon. Since when do you care about being a father, as your actions as of late show otherwise? His divorce halting announcement just so happens to coincide with being dropped from the show. Don’t fall for it Kate. A lesser role on the show means less money for Jon. He is just trying to make nice to get his cut of the deal back. He’s worried about being separated from the money not the family.

Lindsay Lohan Contemplating Playboy; Kate Gosselin Turns It Down

Well, at least there is one so called celebrity out there with a little bit of self respect. Lindsay Lohan has reportedly been offered $900kto pose for “Playboy” and is considering it. This isn’t the first time that “Playboy” would have approached Lohan, as they approached her back in 2008, with an offer of $700,000 that she turned down. Maybe if the up the ante a little bit by throwing in some booze and coke they just might have themselves a deal. We’ve already had the unfortunate opportunity to see Lohan nude once before in 2008, when she bared it all in “New York” magazine, so this really is bad timing on Hugh Hefners’ part, and waaaay too much money for something we already seen… Many, many times!

In other “Playboy” related news, at least one semi-celebrity has enough decency to turn down the offer. Kate Gosselin has been said to have received a letter from Hefner, offering her $400k for a spread in an upcoming interview. She reportedly turned down the offer, being mortified at the thought and claiming she would never do such a thing for the sake of her 8 children. “Playboy” is jumping on the reality-star bandwagon, with having the press-seeking Heidi Montag and Aubrey O’Day recently posing for their magazine. I’m proud of Kate for turning it down, staying true to her word that she is doing things for the kid’s sake.

Jon Gosselin Now A Fashion Designer – UPDATE

The Jon & Kate Gosselin saga can be compared to a trainwreck; so bad you try not to watch, yet so horrible you can’t help but to! The latest development in all this Gosselin-hoopla – a deal for Jon to design his own line of children’s clothing with Ed Hardy designer Christian Audigier. Jon’s new girlfriend Hailey Glassman, the daughter of the doctor who performed a tummy tuck procedure on Kate, will also be taking part in this new endeavor. Jon arranged for Hailey, a burgeoning shoe designer, to get a meeting with the Ed Hardy staff to pitch her ideas.

Per People:

“She’ll have a lot of input with Christian,” Gosselin told PEOPLE of Hailey’s involvement. “And I will, too.”

I really doubt this woman studied any kind of fashion in college… Or even stepped foot on a college campus for that matter! Before Jon and soon-to-be-ex-wife Kate had their eight children, he worked as an IT analyst. But since TLC’s “Jon & Kate Plus 8” his job has been managing the family and meeting the demands of the show. So just how does this make him ready to be a clothing designer? I guess his popularity has something to do with it.

Per People:

“He’s huge,” says the French designer, who may also collaborate with Gosselin on a specialty motorcycle collection. “Everyone knows this family. And everyone will know our clothes. They’ll be fun, easy clothes for kids.”

Apparently, owning an abundance of Ed Hardy shirts while being known as a cheating dad trying to relive your 20s is qualification enough for a seriously easy gig like this. Audigier first approached Gosselin with the idea after seeing him wear his tattoo-inspired shirts on the show and out in public all the time. The Gosselin’s 8 children will will model his designs in ads for the line… Way to go all Joe Jackson and pimp your children out at an early age, Jon!

Yeah, I know… I’m wearing the same “WTH” look on my face as you all are. I’m sure he’ll be another “flash-in-the-pan” reality star turned designer – think Lauren Conrad… Oh I bet Kate is gonna have a field day with this, especially since her own plans for a clothing line were a huge dud!

UPDATE – A rep for the fashion house has called Jon a liar, lair crotch on fire. The statement issued insists Gosselin is NOT creating a children’s line with Hardy.
