MTV Movie Awards 2011 WINNERS and PHOTOS

Last night Twilight, Justin Bieber and all things that make tweens squee these days gave themselves a big ol’ pat on the back. Yes, it’s the 2011 MTV Movie Awards.

Highlights from the show included Robert Pattinson kissing Taylor Lautner (click HERE for the video of that…) and Selena Gomez squirming as every mention of Justin Bieber embarrassed her. In her defense she was probably just remembering straddling his little boy chest while in Maui. Pattinson and girlfriend Kristen Stewart won the ‘Best Kiss’ category again and went for a different acceptance smooch.

Nikki Reed wasn’t shy in showing off her new fiancé at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards. The ‘Twilight’ star has been dating ‘American Idol’ alumni, Paul McDonald for a few short months and they are reportedly ready to wed. They met back March and have been smitten every since.

Last night during the 2011 MTV Movie Awards, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart won the ‘Best Kiss’ award for their lip lock in ‘Twilight Saga: Eclipse.’ Last year the couple teased the audience with a feigned attempt at a kiss and this year they changed tactics.

After taking the stage for their acceptance speech, Pattinson and Stewart once again teased the crowd. However, Rob insisted that someone else would enjoy his butterfly kisses before heading into the audience….

Amy Adams Scores Lois Lane Role

The adorable Amy Adams has been cast as Lois Lane in the ‘Superman’ reboot. The 36 year red head was given the role after a slew of auditions from formidable fellow actresses. Rumors even saw Twilight saga’s starlet, Kristen Stewart, as the front-runner for the role. (Sorry, Twihards. I am breathing a sigh of relief that she won’t be Lois. I get enough one dimensional angst filled lip biting in the Twilight movies.)

The casting has been a long process that has been taken in cautious steps. The failure of the last Man of Steel film, ‘Superman Returns,’ took a $70 million loss and has fans wary of yet another remake. Kate Bosworth was the last to play Lois Lane as Brandon Routh donned the tights and cape.

Amy has been dubbed “perfect” for filling the shoes of Lois. Henry Cavill was announced as the new Superman a few Zack Snyder, the director of the revamp, broke the news to Amy while he was in Paris promoting his latest film, “Sucker Punch.”

Per Hero Complex:

“There was a big, giant search for Lois,” Snyder said. “For us it was a big thing and obviously a really important role. We did a lot of auditioning but we had this meeting with Amy Adams and after that I just felt she was perfect for it.”

No plot details have been ironed out, but the director did share some of the details of his vision…

“It goes back to what I’ve said about Superman and making him really understandable for today. What’s important to us is making him relevant and real and making him empathetic to today’s audience so that we understand the decisions he makes. That applies to Lois as well. She has to be in the same universe as him [in tone and substance].”

Robert Pattinson Wiped His Runny Nose on Reese Witherspoon’s Wig

Robert Pattinson talked with MTV about his less than sensual sex scene with Reese Witherspoon in ‘Water for Elephants.’ The ‘Twilight’ star, he will always be Sparklepants to me, revealed that he had a nasty cold while filming the drama.

Per MTV Via Deadbolt:

“I’m not generally that awkward doing stuff apart from when I’ve got my belly coming out, but my nose [was] running all over the place! Reese had this wig on and I was literally wiping my nose on her wig. We’d be doing this really passionate love scene and I had to be [wiping my nose]. It was so stupid!”

If Reese were smart she would have bottled that snot and made a fortune on eBay from some Twihard wanting his DNA.

Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart, and Other Stars Evacuated in Tsunami Warning

“Twilight” stars Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, and the rest of the Wolfpack have been evacuated from the Vancouver Island beach area in British Columbia for safety reasons where they are filming the latest installment in the saga after tsunami advisories were placed early Friday after an 8.9-magnitude earthquake struck in Japan. Don’t panic Twi-hards – They are all okay!

Per People:

The actors are not believed to be in any danger, but for safety measures they apparently have been moved out of the region.

No significant impact appears to have been felt there, but the move was made as a precautionary measure. A mild tsunami has raised waters about a foot in the Queen Charlotte Islands, north of Vancouver Island, but no effects from the earthquake have been noticed on the island itself. They are shooting in a town called Tofino, which contains a long stretch of open coast. It is unknown at this time where the “Breaking Dawn” stars were moved to as a result. Tinsel Korey, who plays Makah Emily Young in the movies, tweeted “They’re evacuating us 4 a tsunami warning. If this this is my last my tweet. I love you. The end. Hugz. If this is the moment. Then I’ve lived a good life. And I’m thankful 4 everything I’ve been given. 1 love. I’m not trying 2 b dramatic!!! I’m just saying my peace. This is my truth right now. 1Love.”

Talk show host Jimmy Kimmel, who was vacationing in the tsunami zone in French Polynesia, was forced to evacuate the area early Friday. Meanwhile, the cast and crew shooting “Hawaii Five-O” are fine, as tsunami waves there have not caused any major damage thus far. Daniel Dae Kim tweeted Friday: “Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. My family and I have moved to high ground. Now we wait…” He later added, “Back at work, bleary eyed & heartsick, but very grateful. As far as I know, everyone is safe. Thx 2 all of you 4 your kind thoughts. Truly.”

The entire North American Pacific coast is on alert after the earthquake in Japan created a risk of tsunami for many different countries. The 8.9 magnitude earthquake – the biggest in modern Japanese history – slammed the island nation’s eastern coast Friday afternoon, unleashing a 23 foot tsunami that swept boats, cars, buildings, and tons of debris miles inland and prompting a “nuclear emergency.”

In the wake of the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan, our prayers and concern here at Hollywood Dame go out to the thousands of citizens whose lives were impacted by this disaster or lost.

Robert Pattinson Vanity Fair Alligator Cover – PHOTOS

While in the bayou Robert Pattinson draped an alligator over his shoulders while wearing a hat at a jaunty angle for the cover of Vanity Fair. Annie Leibovitz was the brains behind this cover shot in Baton Rouge Louisiana. He took time from filming Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn to pose for the spread and talk with the mag. His relationship with Kristen Stewart was an off limits topic, but he did confess his love of M&M’s. (Click HERE for the outtakes from the VF shoot and Robert Pattinson’s adoption news…)

This has about as much sex appeal as a box of baking soda, but most Pattinson fans are eager to get their hands on the mag. Perhaps if he was carrying Bear Grylls and wearing an “On All Fours for Gryffindors” t-shirt I would be more apt to feel a rumbling of lust, but this just makes me wonder if that gator was as high as Charlie Sheen in order for Sparklepants to keep all his appendages.
