James Franco’s NYU Professor Fired for Giving Him a ‘D’

GASP! A celebrity given preferential treatment because of their status? ESCANDALO! I know, I know…North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong II, has died leaving the country wondering what their future will entail, but I am calling this news. It’s escapism. Yeah, we will go with that.

James Franco allegedly skated his way through obtaining his Masters from NYU. He rarely showed up to classes and when he did, he was passed out and drooling as fellow classmates took pictures. (See above.) According to one of James’ professors, José Angel Santana, all those rumors are true.

How dumb do you have to be to make a Kardashian look intelligent? I didn’t think it could be done, but Bret Lockett and his Kim Kardashian affair claims are proving otherwise.

Lockett, Patriots player, claims he had an affair with Kim while she has been dating Kris Humphries. He insists that they have been boinking for about 5 months. Demi Lovato Facing Lawsuit from Punched Dancer, Alex Welch – PICS

Remember when Demi Lovato went Disney starlet crazy and punched her back up dancer while on tour with Jonas Brothers? (Click HERE for a refresher…)

The dancer, Alex Welch, who reportedly suffered the wrath of Demi Lovato’s breakdown is suing after her wallet face is still hurting. Welch has hired Donald Karpel to file a lawsuit that will, at the very least demand payment for all her medical bills. Demi’s victim has been hitting up emergency rooms and plastic surgeons following the altercation according her attorney.

Via Radar:

“We will be filing a lawsuit next week,” said Karpel. “We will be seeking punitive damages for assault, battery and for mental stress. After the attack, Alex had to get emergency treatment. She is now consulting a Beverly Hills ears, nose and throat plastic surgeon. “

Alex also went crying to People with the allegations that Demi still hasn’t apologized along with her side of the story…

“‘She had gotten in trouble’ for her behavior the previous night. Tour managers on the Jonas Brothers world tour had questioned Lovato about her conduct, and Lovato suspected one of the dancers had tattled on her. Not long after, Welch recalls, Lovato “pulled the dancers in a room and threatened: ‘If I find out who told on me …’ [Later] We were on the plane with the Jonases having this awesome time and I didn’t get a call or text from Demi or a ‘hey, you got a problem with me,’ nothing. And she walks up and punches me and literally walked away and got in her seat.’”

A rep for Demi stated that they are trying to work quickly to rectify the situation.

“We are in the process of engaging with Alex’s lawyer and hope to resolve this as quickly as possible.”

Captains Andy and Johnathan Hillstrand, Sig Hansen QUIT ‘Deadliest Catch’

My inner nerd is weeping! Captains Johnathan and Andy Hillstrand along with Sig Hansen have quit ‘Deadliest Catch’ after a lawsuit has turned very ugly. The crab fishing brothers were involved in a lawsuit launched by Discovery after they failed to finish a spinoff show. The ongoing issue has united the three Captains and their rep has issued this statement in regards to refusing to work with Discovery…

Via Hollywood Reporter:

“We have been through a lot over the past year and unfortunately given the current situation with Discovery we are unable to continue participating in ‘Deadliest Catch,’” the three crab fishermen said in a joint written statement. “It has been a fantastic ride, and we wish the best to all of the amazing and supportive ‘Catch’ fans we have met over the years.”

Sig runs the Northwestern along with his brothers. Edgar and Sig’s relationship has been a focal point on the show for several seasons. Last season it culminated with Edgar contemplating resigning from the boat to be with his family. Andy and Jonathan were last left trying to find a new captain for their vessel, the Time Bandit. These stories might go untold and the focus will be on the remaining vessels. Basically the only remaining DC crews will be Jake and Josh Harris on the Cornelia Marie, Keith and the Wizard crew, Wild Bill (who looks a bit like Michael McDonald) and Kodiak boys.

Which, I respect all those men out there fishing but with Keith being as oversensitive and this strong unlikeable vibe I get… I don’t know if the show can/should survive on Jake and Josh with the help of Wild Bill.

Britney Spears Sued by Sam Lutfi

Gee. Didn’t see this one coming. Sam Tons-O-Fun Lutfi is suing the Britney Spears Clan because he is either bored, running out of cash or combination of the two. (If you don’t recall this douche, he was part of the Axis of Evil that paved the path for Britney’s downfall.)

TMZ reports:

“Sam Lutfi has filed a lawsuit against Britney Spears and her parents for libel, defamation, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress and breach of contract.

According to the papers, Sam claims Jamie and Lynn “launched a campaign of lies and intimidation designed to destroy Lutfi and drive him out of Britney’s life.”

Basically Tons-O-Fun claims that late last year in January he was standing in Britney’s kitchen baking cookies and strudel (and not mixing mysterious purple gooey drinks chalked full of whatever he could find in his fanny pack/portable medicine cabinet), when Spears’ father stormed in. Jamie yelled at him and punched him in the chest.

His also made claims of libel and defamation that come from Lynne’s top notch parenting account, “Through the Storm.”

“[I] have been subjected to unfathomable amounts of ridicule and public scorn.”

Nope. I pretty much find him to be manipulating turd without having read Lynne’s book. Still haven’t read it. Probably won’t read it. I am guessing it could be summed up as such: “Dance baby! MONEY! More Money! Baldness? Grandbaby…Not So Bad = More Money, Damn Daddy Lookin’ Better Than Me, Less Money, Happy Family With Money Again…The End!”

Twilight Lawsuit

The French label Nina Ricci is suing mad over the blatant rip off of her fragrance, “Nina.” The perfume’s bottle for “Twilight: Forbidden Fruit ” comes from the book’s cover that features an apple being held by (who I am assuming is) the story’s leading lady, Bella Cullen.

The “Twilight” franchise cranked out what appears to be an exact rip off of the apple shaped bottle. It is identical to the perfume sold by Ricci. After the rumors that a lawsuit was brewing the designer confirmed her label is taking legal action.
