Lily Allen has gotten married! The outspoken singer married Sam Cooper on Saturday (June 11th, 2011) in the celebrity packed church in Gloucestershire, England. It was a lighthearted country wedding that Lily wanted to keep simple and fun.
Lily Allen Talks about Her Miscarriages and Eating Disorder

For the first time, Lily Allen is opening up about her heartache after the tragic loss of her baby last year in a documentary titled “Lily Allen: Riches To Rags.” Lily – who was six months pregnant with boyfriend Sam Cooper’s child – is said to have been rushed to hospital with severe stomach pain. Although every effort was made to save her unborn baby, it was confirmed ‘with great sadness’ that the couple sadly lost the child.’
Per Daily Mail:
The singer, who lost her child six months into her pregnancy, says: ‘It was a really long battle – and I think that kind of thing changes a person.’
Their couple’s first baby died, her second in three years, after Allen contracted a viral infection six months into her pregnancy. (Doctors say technically, because it occurred after the 20th week, Allen’s second loss was a pre-term delivery. Her first miscarriage was at four months in 2008.) The couple was expecting a boy. At the time, friends said the couple was ‘grief-stricken’ by their loss.
During the film, Lily also speaks of her battle with bulimia, and is painfully honest about how she struggled to over come the condition.
‘I used to vomit after meals. It’s not something I’m proud of,’ the singer admits. ‘But, I tell you what, a lot of people came up to me telling me how great I looked and I’d be on the cover of every magazine. I thought I looked good and it was great to be able to try on clothes and feel a million dollars. But I wasn’t happy, I really wasn’t.’
Despite the praise, Allen said she wasn’t happy on the inside and finally realized she was “a pop star, not a model.” The documentary was filmed before Lily suffered the loss of her baby, but the film crew went back to continue filming her story after. The film also follows the opening of her clothing boutique for her fashion line ‘Lucy in Disguise,’ which she created alongside her sister Sarah Owen.
She has really matured into a thoughtful woman. Good for her in speaking out about the pressures to be skinny and eating disorders.

Lily Allen Suffers Another Miscarriage

I will put the snark on the backburner for this one. Incredibly sad news… Lily Allen has lost her baby.
The British singer was 6 months along in her second pregnancy. Allen’s rep confirmed the horrible news by announcing that they are (obviously) deeply hurt and trying to cope.
“It is with great sadness that we have to confirm that Lily Allen and Sam Cooper have lost their baby. The couple ask that their privacy be respected and that they be left alone at this deeply distressing time. No further comment will be made.”
Lily is currently dating Sam Cooper who is a successful builder. She had been expecting a baby in 2008 while she was dating Chemical Brothers band member Ed Simons. This second pregnancy had seemed to be going smoothly and she was given an ‘all clear’ during a 3 month check up and also discovered she was going to be welcoming a baby boy.
Our deepest condolence go out to Lily and her family.

New Music Friday – Pixie Lott

Already a massive star in her native U.K., with one million singles sold, two No. 1 hits, and three No. 1 Airplay records to her credit, soulful pop singer and actress Pixie Lott is ready to unleash her talent Stateside this summer. Her debut U.S. single, “Boys and Girls,” is available at all digital service providers this week via Interscope Records.
The high-energy dance-pop jam “Boys and Girls” is 19-year-old Lott’s second consecutive No. 1 single in the U.K., and it’s just a taste of what’s to come when Lott releases her debut album, Turn It Up, in the U.S. in early 2011. Already certified double-platinum in the U.K., Turn It Up features Lott’s songwriting collaborations with RedOne (Lady Gaga), Greg Kurstin (Lily Allen, Sia), Toby Gad (Beyonce, Fergie, Cutfather and Jonas Jeburg (Kylie Minogue, Pussycat Dolls), and Kara DioGuardi.
In addition to releasing five singles in the U.K., Lott has scored three No. 1 Airplay tracks. She is the only U.K. or international recording artist of the last 10 years to have three debut singles hit No. 1 on the U.K. Airplay chart. I recently ventured to Coney Island to indulge in some freak filled frivolity. So when a list of celebs with a few imperfections surfaces, I had to jump on the chance to feel slightly superior.
Third Nipple Boasting Celebs:
Lily Allen showed off her third nipple on television…
Mark Wahlberg proudly displays his third nipple and it sometimes causes filming issues.

Carrie Underwood admitted to having a third nipple during her American Idol audition. She had it removed thanks to be embarrassed by it.
Tilda Swinton also has an extra nip and like Mark, opts to be proud of it and even stated she used it to freak out her siblings.
“I’ve always been very proud of it. I’ve used it to threaten my brothers my entire life.”
Web Toed Celebs:
Ashton Kutcher has webbed toes and even showed them off while on TRL and during another interview with Rove…

Dan Aykroyd was also born with webbed toes. This was revealed in the movie Mr. Mike’s Mondo Video and in a short film on “Saturday Night Live.”
Danielle Panabaker is a younger star with movies like “Sky High” and “Herbie Fully Loaded” on her resume. The starlet has the condition although it is not as pronounced as others.
Tricia Helfer, known for her sexy role on “Battlestar Galatica,” is also fearlessly rocking the web.
“I do have webbed toes! I’d mentioned it before and then had all these doctors hounding my agents offering to fix them. But I don’t want them fixed. I like my toes! It’s just the second and third toe, not the whole foot.”
Rachel Stevens (big in the UK) is another of the proud web toed wonder. She showed off her foot during an interview.
Extra Fingers:
Prince of Persia star Gemma Arterton was born with two extra fingers. She had a second pinky on each hand. They were removed as they didn’t contain any bone. It was a family condition that both her father and her grandfather were also born with.
Speaking of wonky…Denzel Washington has a pinky deformity. He broke his pinky while playing basketball as a child. He never had it taken care of and it set incorrectly and now juts out from the knuckle.
Joss Stone and Lilly Allen Cat Fight!

Joss Stone is obviously not a Lily Allen fan! In a recent interview, Stone may have started up a bit of a feud when she shared her thoughts on the fellow Brit’s stance on file sharing, believing music should be shared for free whenever possible while Lily has campaigned to make internet file sharing a criminal offense.
Per DigitalSpy:
“She needs to sell records because she’s not a singer, and that’s not an offence to her because I think that she knows that too,” she told The Mirror. “I think she’s a performer and she’s more of a personality than she is a singer. But I think when musicians are really making real music people come to the show and that’s what we make our money from, from playing live. I think it’s probably harder for an artist like Lily and any other pop acts. It’s really about the track and about their personality and their celebrity and that’s how they make their money is selling those records. So the downloads – she’s not going to win that fight. None of us will win that fight. So let’s just accept it and let’s see it as something that can be beautiful and it might change music for the better. It might sort the weeds from the flowers.”
Meow! I just love it when someone so irrelevant takes a stab at someone more successful then they are, trying to gain a little bit of the limelight. You may have bitten off a little more than you can chew, Joss! Oooo I can’t WAIT to see Lily’s rebuttal on this one!

Lily Allen is the New Face of Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld Confirms

Our Lady of Drunken Ruckus, Lily Allen, has been dubbed the new face of Chanel’s handbag campaign. Rumors that Allen has gone to work for Karl have been circulating for a few years. In November of 2006 she was said to be meeting with Lagerfeld for a 2007 campaign.
Lily has become a walking advertisement of the label, decked from head to toe in Chanel on several public appearances lately. She also sat in the front row at the Fall 2009 Runway Presentation. Karl Lagerfeld himself has finally confirmed that she is the new face of the handbag campaign code named Chanel Coco Cocoon and is due to start shooting next week.
Per WWD:
“Karl Lagerfeld has cast another surprising personality for his next Chanel handbag campaign: Lily Allen. “She’s fun,” enthused Lagerfeld, who plans to turn his lens on the British pop star next week.”
Meh…why not.

Lily Allen: Screw God, I Love Coke!

Here is a true English Rose that understands the importance of neon green boots paired with 1985 gray cut off shorts. (Please note sarcasm and mild appreciation for said neon green boots.) Lily Allen is a general walking disaster. She is looking like a Cruella DeVil stunt double on the streets of London. All she is missing is a fancy cigarette holder. I always knew Cruella was coke head.
Allen has been throwing her hat into the ring on the war on drugs. Of course she is Team Blow and defends snorting. Lily told Word Magazine (Via The Sun):
“The only story is that drugs are bad and they will kill you – you will become a prostitute, a rapist or a dealer. But that’s not true. I know lots of people who take cocaine three nights a week and get up and go to work. But we never hear that side of the story. I wish people wouldn’t sensationalize it. Some people are just bad at taking drugs.”
She furthered the oratorical fireworks by slamming her record label for not treating her like the VIP she seems to think she is.
“I got £50,000 for my first album and I sold a lot of records. Twenty years ago, I’d have been booked in at the Ritz with five grams of cocaine on my table and 10 bunches of flowers. Some new clothes. A chauffeur on 24-hour call. Now I’m lucky to get an Oyster card. I ask for a hotel in Paris and I get a two-star place in the eighth arrondissement on my own. I’m like: ‘Do you want me to get raped and killed?’”
I bet EMI is thrilled with her outburst that is angering thousands of the paper’s readers. Some of The Sun’s viewers left hundreds of comments that voiced their disgust. Most had lost a friend or family member thanks to drug use.
If EMI didn’t want her bumped off before…they do now!

Lily Allen is after Katy Perry’s blood. The two look remarkably similar and this doesn’t sit well with Lily.
“I happen to know for a fact that she was an American version of me. She was signed by my label in America as, ‘We need to find something controversial and kooky like Lily Allen.’ And then they found her. I think the lyrics and stuff are a bit crass.”
Katy, known for her “I Kissed a Girl” hit, was also said to have also made disgusting comments about Allen’s weight.
“When I met her I was bit frosty with her because someone asked her to describe herself. She’s like, ‘Aha, I’m like a fatter version of Amy Winehouse and a skinner version of Lily Allen!’ It’s like, you’re not English and you don’t write your own songs, shut up!”
I really would dig at either one of these girls. They both strike me as the type chuck poo at your front door.
