Lindsay Lohan to Play Mob Daughter Victoria Gotti

John Travolta has been nabbed to play ‘Teflon Don’ John Gotti, the former head of the Gambino crime family, in the upcoming film “Gotti: Three Generations.” (The nickname came from the fact that the feds had a hard time making any charges stick.) Now, yet another member of the notorious crime family may be cast – and you won’t believe how ALIKE they look!

Now we’re getting word that Lindsay Lohan is up for the role of Victoria Gotti, John’s daughter. Producer Marc Fiore actually confirmed that he is “in talks” with her. Even the real Victoria seems to like Lindsay for the role, as she is rumored to have hand-picked her.

Per E! Online:

“I think she’d be great and I think she’s got what it takes…I think Lindsay can play anyone, but I’ve always thought that…before we even met,” Victoria told E!. “I’d be content if she was chosen. Absolutely.”

Travolta adds:

“I’ve always thought she was gorgeous and talented and filled with a lot of depth. So I think that whatever she would like to do would be great with me.”

So as long as Lindsay can stay out of jail, it seems like she has this one in the bag. Joe Pesci will play Angelo Ruggiero, Gott’s right-hand man (good thing Joe hasn’t been type-cast, right?), and Travolta’s real-life daughter Ella Bleu has an unspecified role in the film as well. On Tuesday, there was a press conference for the movie, where Lindsay and the real Victoria met up. Don’t they look alike?

Do you think Lindsay would be able to get herself together enough to actually finish the filming? Her last movie attempts ended in failure because of her legal and personal issues. Currently, she is awaiting a trial over the theft of a $2,500 necklace. The charges are felony theft, which could carry rather serious consequences if she is convicted. Despite that, Lindsay declined to take a plea deal in the case. She was recently fired from ‘Inferno,’ the Linda Lovelace biopic, and there’s no way her ongoing legal problems and train wreck status weren’t to blame. Perhaps the Gotti shot-callers are waiting to see how her real life grueling legal saga plays out in court before officially inking her to a deal. Smart move.

Lindsay Lohan Could Be Released From Rehab Today

Despite receiving a 90-day rehab sentence handed down to her by Judge Marsha Revel, it seems quite possible that Lindsay Lohan could be leaving the UCLA Medical Center as early as today. Lohan’s lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, appeared in court yesterday to report that Lohan was misdiagnosed and wasn’t in the dire state that she was originally thought to be in. The new judge over case, Judge Elden Fox, is expected to issue an order sometime after 1:30pm PST, and it could be her ticket out, confirming recent rumors that she’ll be let out of rehab early.

Per TMZ:

Sources have told us they expect Lindsay’s release will probably come this week, to be followed by outpatient care. All signs point to Judge Fox executing this plan.

A big reason for that? They think treatment will be easier than expected as she’s hooked on Adderall to treat ADHD, which they say she really does not have, and that perhaps being improperly prescribed was her major problem, behavior-wise. If medical professionals’ opinions are that she should be released, the judge would have to really want to stick it to Lohan to override their recommendations.

What’s the point of judges sentencing people to a specific time behind bars or in rehab if another judge will just come along behind them and shake the etch a sketch and let the offender off? Only time will tell, but I predict that not very long after Lindsay is released, Dina will yet again be making excuses for her because I highly doubt she’s learned a lesson. She needs serious help. Instead she gets the powderpuff treatment.

Update:

Per TMZ:

As TMZ first reported, all signs are pointing to Lindsay Lohan being released from UCLA this week — and we’re hearing it will happen tomorrow. Judge Elden Fox has decided not to issue an order today, but rather he will make a decision tomorrow at 8:30 AM PT.

As we’ve told you, the doctors at UCLA think Judge Marsha Revel’s mandate that Lindsay spend 90 days in rehab is excessive, and they are recommending an early release.

Sources tell us going into last weekend, the plan was for a Wednesday release, and all signs now point to Judge Fox releasing Lindsay tomorrow morning and ordering outpatient care.

Judge Revel Removes Herself From Lindsay Lohans’ Case

Lindsay Lohan will probably be happy about this. The judge that Lindsay and her family were certain had it in for her has just removed herself from the case after allegations she improperly contacted “participants and experts” involved. Lawyers complained that Judge Marsha Revel was taking it upon herself to make contact with people from the Morningside Recovery rehab facility, without notifying the the lawyers in advance. Ultimately, Lindsay’s lawyer convinced Judge Revel to send Lindsay to UCLA.

Per TMZ:

Sources in the D.A.’s Office tell TMZ … prosecutor Danette Meyers was the one who raised the objection with Judge Revel on Friday. We’re told Judge Revel voluntarily recused herself before Meyers filed legal papers to have her removed.

Judge Revel has been overseeing Lindsay’s legal battle, and sentenced her to almost three months in prison and three months in rehab for violating her probation relating to a 2007 DUI arrest earlier this year. Judge Elden Fox has now taken over the case.

What a mess. And here is where the Lohan-fanatics come out yelling “See, Lindsay was framed!”
