Lindsay Lohan’s Jewelry Theft Surveillance Video Details

Remember how Lindsay Lohan wasn’t ready to accept a plea deal in court yesterday, instead preferring to wait for her lawyer to check if the surveillance video vindicated her? Yeah, well she might want to rethink that! Lindsay claimed that her stylist was the one who “forgot” to return that necklace, but sources say the jewelry store surveillance video clearly shows her stealing it. According to RadarOnline.com, a male friend of LiLo’s allegedly “distracted the clerk on purpose” while she put the necklace on and later walked out of the store with it.

“Lindsay had removed a necklace of hers that she was wearing when she tried on the necklace in question,” the source close to the case told RadarOnline.com, exclusively. “As Lindsay was putting her necklace back on, it’s apparent the store clerk was distracted by the male companion that was with Lindsay.”

The sales associate provided a statement to investigators claiming she didn’t realize that Lohan hadn’t taken the necklace off, RadarOnline.com has learned.

“The video then shows Lindsay and her male friend walking out of the store, all while Lindsay was wearing the necklace,” said the source. “It’s all clearly visible on the video.”

Yesterday, Lindsay entered a plea of not guilty to one count of felony grand theft. Should the video prove to be as damning as some who have seen it are claiming (one even called it a ‘smoking gun’) she could be facing three years in jail.

“The District Attorney believes that Lindsay’s friend distracted the clerk on purpose and that could bolster the case if it goes to trial against Lindsay,” said the source. “This simply wasn’t a case of miscommunication of a necklace being loaned and not returned, as Lindsay has claimed.”

Lindsay’s next court date is March 10th. If she still refuses a deal the case will go before another Judge for a preliminary hearing, and then go to trial. Whether she wants to or not it would be in Lindsay’s best interest to just suck it up and take the plea because chances are she’s gonna wind up behind bars either way. Even if Lindsay is somehow exonerated at trial, she’ll still be in jail for the probation violation. Not looking too good for Ms. Lohan either way you look at it.

Lindsay Lohan Enters Rehab

If we could roll our eyes any harder … In what appears to be nothing more than making a desperate bid to stay out of jail, Lindsay Lohan has taken it upon herself to check into a rehab facility ahead of her upcoming jail sentence, in hopes that the judge will change her ruling and allow her to complete her sentence in a rehab facility rather than the court ordered jail. The facility Lohan has checked into was founded by famed attorney Robert Shapiro, Lohan’s new lawyer, after his son died of an overdose in 2005.

Per X17:

X17online.com can report EXCLUSIVELY that Lindsay Lohan spent her first night in rehab last night — at attorney Robert Shapiro’s rehabilitation facility Pickford Lofts.

Lohan arrived at the home at 3:45 Wednesday, but already has had a variety of visitors including mom Dina, sister Ali, her ex Samantha Ronson, her assistant Eleanor, and her rumored-to-be new girlfriend Eilat Anschel. Eleanor reportedly visited with Lindsay before she went in and even brought her food and pillows. Ronson showed up a little after 10pm and visited for around 45 minutes.

Lohan and Shapiro reportedly plan to ask Judge Marsha Revel to allow her to stay in rehab instead of going to jail. Prosecutor Danette Meyers isn’t buying into Lohans’s rehab act, and has declared that LiLo will definitely be going to the slammer regardless of who she hires or what they say.

Per Radar:

“It’s a really a moot point to ask Judge Revel to send Ms. Lohan to rehab only as Judge Revel has already sentenced her,” Meyers told RadarOnline.com exclusively. “Ms. Lohan is going to jail… Judge Revel could have sentenced her to more time behind bars, but she didn’t. The only issue to be decided is what rehabilitation facility Ms. Lohan will be sent to after she serves her jail time.”

Meyers also said she plans to personally be in the court room when Lohan is expected to turn herself in next Tuesday to begin serving her sentence. Once again, Lohan is trying to avoid responsibility for her actions. Not like we expected anything less.

Lindsay Lohan’s Plan To Avoid Jail Time

There are several conflicting reports this morning surrounding Lindsay Lohan and her attempt to avoid jail time. As you probably know, Lindsay was sentenced last week to 90 days in jail (get the details of her sentence by CLICKING HERE).

However, shortly after receiving her sentence, Lindsay’s lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley quit. Lohan and her mother, Dina, quickly hired Chicago attorney Stuart V. Goldberg who, according to Popeater, arrive in Los Angeles claiming “We’re going after them.”

Yet TMZ is reporting this morning that Lohan was unable to hire Goldberg because SHE IS TOO POOR!

“Stuart V. Goldberg met with Lindsay, Dina and Ali on Friday night and it was a done deal, until he got a call over the weekend from Lindsay’s business manager, Lou Taylor, who said they just couldn’t afford him … this is all according to Goldberg’s camp.”

Lohan’s mother-of-the-year is claiming this simply isn’t true but rather, Goldberg was too eccentric for Lindsay to deal with. Seriously?
