Pink ‘F**kin Perfect’ – VIDEO, LYRICS

Pink’s video for ‘F**king Perfect’ premiered before last night’s episode of “Jersey Shore.” The response on her site has been largely filled with gratitude and declarations of emotional reactions.

[Pink F**kin Perfect - VIDEO]

In the video, the focus is a girl growing up and experience what we all struggle with. Being different. The video moves through the girl’s life as she struggles. A moving and controversial moment shows her sitting in a tub and cutting herself, etching the word perfect into her arm. Pink addressed the issue in a statement on her site…

“Cutting, and suicide, two very different symptoms of the same problem, are gaining on us. (the problem being; alienation and depression. the symptoms; cutting and suicide). I personally don’t know a single person who doesn’t know at least two of these victims personally. A lot of us have seen certain starlets showing off their latest scars on a red carpet somewhere, usually right before they head back to their favorite rehab.
Its a problem, and its something we should talk about.

We can choose to ignore the problem, and therefore ignore this video, but that won’t make it go away. I don’t support or encourage suicide or cutting.
I support the kids out there that feel so desperate/numb/powerless, that feel unseen and unheard, and can’t see another way.. I want them to know I’m aware. I have been there. I see them.
Sometimes that’s all it takes.”

Pink ‘F**kin Perfect’ – Lyrics

Made a wrong turn, once or twice
Dug my way out, blood and fire
Bad decisions, that’s alright
Welcome to my silly life
Mistreated, misplaced, misunderstood
Miss ‘No way, it’s all good’, it didn’t slow me down
Mistaken, always second guessing, underestimated
Look, I’m still around

Pretty pretty please, don’t you ever ever feel
Like you’re less than f*ckin’ perfect
Pretty pretty please, if you ever ever feel like you’re nothing
You’re f*ckin’ perfect to me!

You’re so mean, when you talk about yourself, you were wrong
Change the voices in your head, make them like you instead
So complicated, look happy, you’ll make it!
Filled with so much hatred…such a tired game
It’s enough! I’ve done all I can think of
Chased down all my demons, I’ve seen you do the same

Oh, pretty pretty please, don’t you ever ever feel
Like you’re less than f*ckin’ perfect
Pretty pretty please, if you ever ever feel like you’re nothing

You’re f*ckin’ perfect to me

The whole world’s scared so I swallow the fear
The only thing I should be drinking is an ice cold beer
So cool in line, and we try try try, but we try too hard and it’s a waste of my time
Done looking for the critics, cause they’re everywhere
They dont like my jeans, they don’t get my hair
Exchange ourselves, and we do it all the time
Why do we do that? Why do I do that?

Why do I do that..?

Yeah, oh, oh baby, pretty baby..!
Pretty pretty please, don’t you ever ever feel
Like you’re less than f*ckin’ perfect
Pretty pretty please, if you ever ever feel
Like you’re nothing, you’re f**king perfect to me
You’re perfect, you’re perfect!
Pretty pretty please, if you ever ever feel like you’re nothing
You’re f**kin’ perfect to me…

New Music Friday – This Providence

Get ready HWDamers — You are now being thrusted into a new weekly feature called “New Music Friday” where we here at HWD bring you kittens some new music by your favorite artists and hopefully broaden your horizon on some musicians you may not have had the pleasure of being introduced to yet. The first weeks edition focuses on a band called “This Providence.” This Seattle rock band has proved how versatile they’ve become from spending the past two years on the road and refining their craft – their band’s inventive brand of indie rock – by following up their 2006 self-titled “Fueled By Ramen” with their new album “Who Are You Now?” released in March. Originally formed in Seattle back in 2003 by Australian-born vocalist Daniel Young and guitarist Gavin Phillips, the band’s current lineup also features bassist David Blaise and drummer Andy Horst. Their new album is a collection of extremely varied rock songs with influence from bands such as The Cure and The Beatles. It showcases This Providence’s rock edge as much as it does their stripped-down sensibilities.

Per This Providence:

“We took a long time off the road before going into the studio because we wanted to write songs that were dripping with creativity and you can’t rush that,” Young explains, “I think the end result is much stronger because of that… I’m really proud of the way my lyrics turned out this time around. It’s definitely the best work I’ve ever done.”

Formerly known as “Sunday Best,” the have toured with other bands such as Cute Is What We Aim For, Paramore, All Time Low, The Hush Sound, Daphne Loves Derby, Relient K, House of Heroes, Ludo and Brighten. They have just finished The Warped Tour 2009, and are now currently on tour with headliner Cartel, alongside The Summer Set, The Dares and Runner Runner. They have spent most of 2009 on the road making sure they’re heard by as many people as possible. While the album seems to take on an intensely personal vibe, it’s very apparent that anyone who’s ever experienced love or loss can relate to songs like “Selfish” or “Somebody To Talk To” on an emotional level. The first single “Letdown” off their new ablum is in stores and online now! You can watch the video for the song above. HWDamers – don’t be shy! Let us know what you think!

Amy Winehouse Booed at Comeback Gig

When asked to perform the concert in the first place, maybe Amy Winehouse should have said “no no no.” After being holed up for several months in the Caribbean to try to get her act together, Amy was performing at a jazz festival in St Lucia, a concert meant to be a thank-you for the Islanders’ hospitality. But according to News of the World, she boozed it up for six hours beforehand, drank throughout the entire show, forgetting the majority of her lyrics, and exposed her bra and panties as she stumbled around the stage.

Per Hot Momma Gossip:

“One concert goer reported: “well if you can call it singing, she never sang a song all the way through, or kept up with the music, forgot her lyrics, and at one point just stopped and said she was bored! but in the end she just sat down at the front of the stage and seemed to nod off, at which point she was led off, and the band followed pretty quickly.”

News of The World also reported that Amy, in a state of confusion, began shouting at her backing singers for playing songs she’d never heard of, until they reminded her she wrote the tracks herself. Continuing to pound back the booze while singing, Amy stumbled all over the stage and mumbled to herself like a bum, letting down her fans who paid around $50 a ticket to see her, even admitting to the crowd that she was bored. When a rainstorm caused a power-outage, Winehouse was so out of it that she didn’t even notice. She carried on attempting to sing before slumping over on stage. When the lights came back on, Amy tried unsuccessfully to roll a cigarette – then proceeded to chewed the paper and tobacco before spitting it at the crowd. She then she lunged at horrified backup singer with her tongue out. Eventually the trainwreck was booed off the stage in what is being hailed as her worst concert ever, causing Winehouse to burst into tears.

Per The News Of the World:

“It’s the first time Amy has sung those songs for a long time. They brought back all her memories of her Blake.” a spokesman for Winehouse said.

What a pathetic excuse. How about being honest and saying that Winehouse is still an alcoholic drug addict, and until she deals with these issues nothing is going to change. I can’t believe she is tossing her career out the window. I officially am throwing in my towel and giving up all hope for her.

Britney Spears ‘If You Seek Amy’ Meaning Upsets Fox – Video

Alert the church elders to perform an exorcism of evil!

The elders over at Fox News are just catching on to Britney Spears’ phonetically dirty song “If You Seek Amy.” In case you have been living in a bunker underground for 6 months or simply didn’t care enough to listen to Spears’ latest album, Circus, the popstar has angered the parents of kids with her new song. The single “If You Seek Amy” has been banned from radio all over and some stations simply censor it.

Why? The clever dirty girl snuck in “the F word” by spelling it out with her lyrics. Say the title quickly and you’ll hear yourself saying F-U-C-K me. So the lyrics of: “All of the boy and all of the girls are begging to If You Seek Amy” make a statement of everyone wanting to hump her. This has been known for some time and the moral compass of Fox News can’t handle this revelation.

Seriously! My 73 year old Memaw heard my ‘If You Seek Amy’ ring tone a month ago and scolded me for being whorey. But later she patted me on the head and gave me oatmeal cookie. Fox on the other flipped their shiz and followed their rant with a prayer vigil. Here’s a thought…turn the radio off. (BTW…. When did Fox News become the pinnacle of America’s moral compass?)

Miley Cyrus Fly on the Wall Video and Lyrics

(Miley Cyrus Fly on the Wall Video)

Miley Cyrus channels her inner Michael Jackson and based her new “Fly on the Video” loosely on Jackson’s “Thriller.” The zombies are replaced by paparazzi eager to get a Miley money shot.

You don’t understand what it is
That makes me tick
But you wish you did
You always second guess, wonder if
I say yes but you just lose out every time
If you only knew what I talked about
When I’m with my friends just hangin’ out
Then you’d have the inside scoop
On what to say, what to do
That way when you play the game
Baby you can never lose

(Chorus:)
Don’t you wish that you could be a fly on the wall
A creepy little, sneaky little fly on the wall
All my precious secrets, yeah
You’d know them all
Don’t you wish that you could be a fly on the wall
You’d love to know, the things I do
When I’m with my friends, and not with you
You always second guess, wonder if
There’s other guys I’m flirting with
You should know by now
If you were my boyfriend, I’d be true to you
If I make a promise, I’m comin’ through
Don’t you wish that you could
See me every second of the day
That way you would have no doubt
That baby I would never stray

(Chorus:)
Don’t you wish that you could be a fly on the wall
A creepy little sneaky little fly on the wall
All my precious secrets, yeah
You’d know them all
Don’t you wish that you could be a fly on the wall
A little communication
That’ll go a long way
You’re getting misinformation
Too much hearsay, hearsay
And what I say is
Come a little closer
And what I’m gonna say is
Don’t You
Don’t You
Don’t You
Don’t you wish you were a…
Hey!

(Chorus:)
Don’t you wish that you could be a fly on the wall
A creepy little sneaky little fly on the wall
All my precious secrets, yeah
You’d know them all
Don’t you wish that you could be a fly on the wall
