Hollywood's Grand Dame of Gossip and Style
Wow. Seems like that was the quickest pregnancy ever! January Jones welcomed to the world son yesterday. His name: Xander Dane Jones. So now they can get going on ‘Mad Men,’ right?
January Jones is the non-lovable, non-big boobed, non-ginger on ‘Mad Men.’ She has managed to get Zach Galifianakis’ stamp of Grade A Betch and now her former tv son is throwing some hate her way.
The 2011 Emmy nominations were announced this morning. I was sleeping off a hangover resting after rescuing a kitten a pack of wolves, but Hollywood rolls on.
Glee, Modern Family, Mad Men dominated the list and the great Peter Dinklage was present! Big Bang Theory, The Office and Saturday Night Live were also peppered throughout the nominations. Property Brothers (mah new obsession largely for impure reasons) was snubbed along with RuPaul’s Drag Race. Life is unfair.
Christina Hendricks is addressing her ample bosom after growing tired of answering the age old question, “Are they real?”
The bearded wonder from ‘Hangover’ isn’t making friends with Mad Men starlet, January Jones. The two met and got along as well as my spell check and the name Galifianakis.
Jones and Zach Galifianakis had a less than cordial time together. January sang his praises in a saccharine coated gushing about his natural talent for humor. Zach feels that she is an icy wench whose career shelf life is equal to that of Heidi Montag’s.
“I got practically no responsibilities, my job’s a breeze, and I got a killer rack! Good morning!”
That old adage is hand painted on 6 foot portrait of myself hanging in the lobby of my office building. (Ok, it’s more like… on a Post-It note that is stuck to a picture of me drunk on St. Patrick’s Day 3 years ago that sits on my office desk.) Regardless, that quote comes to mind whenever I think of Christina Hendricks. She is launching herself into stardom and boobs only get you so far in Hollywood, so she has to have the goods.
Currently she is bedding Doogie Hower in the New York Philharmonic’s production of Stephen Sondheim’s ‘Company,’ guest starring on ‘Body of Proof,’ working the ‘Mad Men’ set and filming ‘I Don’t Know How She Does It.’ Her resume includes 31 titles and at least 15 magazine covers (and counting) since her rise in popularity. Christina may be known for her natural busty figure, but she will be remembered for her talent.
Here are some fun facts:
*She is actually blonde, but has dyed her hair red since she was 10.
*Hendricks started as a teen model.
*Her measurements are rumored to be 39D-30-39.
*Voted Best Looking American Woman by Esquire magazine in 2010.
*Has been nominated for SyFy Awards (won), Screen Actors Guild Awards (won), Emmy Award.
*UK Equalities Minister Lynne Featherstone dubbed her positive influence for women and stated: “Christina Hendricks is absolutely fabulous… We need more of these role models. There is such a sensation when there is a curvy role model. It shouldn’t be so unusual.”
As a fellow curvy dame, I appreciate her attitude and talent. When I was in high school the Itty Bitty Titty Committee would tease me by asking, “When God was handing out brains were you off asking for a double helping of boobs?” Those C.U.Next Tuesdays have since developed a coke habit (not the carbonated beverage), would suck the alcohol out of a stick of deodorant and turned into such a disaster that Red Cross wouldn’t give her coffee.
Enjoy some pics of Christina’s lusciousness with Neil Patrick Harris and her guest appearance on ABC. You can see her spot on ‘Body of Proof’ April 19th at 10 pm ET.

“The Walking Dead” is based on Robert Kirkman’s popular comic series. It is an AMC series following a small group of survivors trekking across the United States in search of a safe haven following a zombie apocalypse. “The Walking Dead” finished up its first season over the weekend, setting basic cable ratings records for the explosive finale. With success – “The Walking Dead” was renewed for a second season very early in its run, and has been by far the most popular series ever on AMC, drawing twice as many viewers as the channel’s most critically lauded show, “Mad Men.” The season finale lurched all the way to the ratings record book, drawing six million viewers – more than any other AMC series.
I had the chance to speak with Anthony Guajardo today, who plays ‘Miguel‘ on the hit show, about things such as getting his start in acting, the realistic look of the walkers, and what’s next for him. You can read about that – and more! – below.
How did you get started in acting?
I was 5 and most little kids want to be things like a fireman or an astronaut but the first thing that I wanted to be was an actor. My mom thought it was just a phase I was going through but I bugged her for 2 years. When I was 7, she looked up agencies and found the one I’m with now, Calliope Talent. I wrote a letter and had a meeting and ever since then I’ve been doing auditions.
How did you get involved with ‘The Walking Dead?’
I was at home and I got a call from my agent that I had been requested to do the audition for Miguel. I got really excited! I went in for the audition and read the script, and it was for a gangster character and I thought ‘What? I’m not gangster at all.’ I hated the audition because I figured I wouldn’t get booked. I got a call the next day and was told they wanted me to come in and audition again but this time be more gangster. So I went by the mall and they had these 50 cent tattoo machines and I bought some and put them on and auditioned again, this time feeling more confident. I went home and got a phone call saying I booked it. I freaked out and was jumping up and down all around my house. They asked me if the tattoos were real and I told them they were fake so they asked me if I could get more of the tattoos. I went down and spent about $50 on them, and they had told me they’d have the tickets ready to fly me out the next day.
Up close, how realistic do the walkers look? Do they look creepy?
They look crazy! My mom and I were on set laughing because they looked so cool, walking around smoking cigarettes on their breaks.
How has this cast ensemble been to work with?
Everyone has been great. I was really nervous and my first scene was with Norman Reedus. I introduced myself and he was pretty cool. Working with Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and T-Dog (IronE Singleton) was also a lot of fun. Everyone on set was really great and they gave me a lot to work with.
What was the biggest challenge for you in doing the show?
Trying to act like a badass but scared at the same time. The director was telling me that my character was tough but scared, and mad at getting beat up.
What have you enjoyed most about being a part of this show?
The people I’ve met on Twitter, Facebook, or in Texas that say they like the roll. It makes me happy and makes me feel like I’m doing what I’m supposed to be doing.
Did you or anyone else think or expect the show to become such a hit?
I didn’t expect it to be what it is, but I expected that it would be a good show. I had never heard of the comic book before but a friend of mine had. On set, I was just like “Wow, this is awesome.” I was used to doing extra roles, but this just sort of blew up. It’s awesome.
What do you think it is about this gruesome zombie apocalypse show that has really struck a chord with viewers?
I think that it’s not just about zombies but it’s also about the people, too. Each character is different and it does a good job of drawing people in. I love the show and love seeing people freak out on eachother. It’s real life.
Do you think your character, Miguel, will be back for season 2?
I surely hope so! I’m praying for it. People are also telling me that they hope so, and I hope the people on ‘The Walking Dead’ see that. They did a vote on facebook and our episode, Vatos, had the most votes up until the finale, I think. Our episode did really good.
What’s next for you?
I’m not sure. I’ve been doing auditions and did a short film with Ron Guajardo, no relation, called ‘Wild Sunday.’ I did an AAA commercial and have been doing what I can.

“Mad Men” hottie Jon Hamm graces the cover of the latest issue of Rolling Stone Magazine, along with his co-stars January Jones, Elizabeth Moss, and the voluptuous Christina Hendricks.
Five years ago, no one had even heard of these four actors and now, an hour doesn’t go by when someone isn’t trying to find out Hendricks’s cup size or download a video of Jon Hamm shakin’ his money maker with Betty White (no worries, we have that video for you HERE).
I have to admit, my dear friend Lou has been trying to get me on board with “Mad Men” for sometime and I have put it off. However, I started watching this season preparing myself to fall in love with Don Draper. Instead, I am totally TEAM JOAN!!! I love her! I want her! I want to be her!
You can pick up the current issue of Rolling Stone on newsstands tomorrow.

Last night tv actors pat each other on the back and handed out statues for who did the best job not saying F-word and making people either laugh or cry.
The Emmy’s were hosted by Jimmy Fallon and it made me reminisce the days he was funny despite the fact he constantly looked at the camera and giggled during SNL skits. Most of my tv favs took home accolades. Jim Parsons was wearing enough makeup to make Christina Aguilera bite her lip in a “honey-no” moment, but took home for Best Actor in a Comedy Series and being the ultimate sexy nerd. (Let me have my dreams.)
“Modern Family” won for Best Comedy Series and while I feel they deserved it, I fear that Al Bundy will be streaking in place of Sofia Vergara’s nudity promise should they win.

“Mad Men” won for Best Drama Series while “Top Chef” won best reality program because food porn is awesome. Supporting Actress for Drama Series went to Archie Panjabi from “The Good Wife.” Claire Danes, who looked gorgeous, took home a win for her role in the made for tv movie “Temple Grandin.” (The film is a tale of Temple Grandin and his battle to cope with autism in a modern world.)

‘Mad Men’ has filled my free time and fast become one of the freshest shows available. The style is enviable and from a time that is classic and constantly emulated…for good reason.
AMC has made the wise choice to further embrace the 60’s by partnering with Unilever brands to create six ads that parody the time and convey the product with modern footage. Smith Winter Mitchell Agency is a fictional ad agency that will campaign the products. The ads will run during “Mad Men” which airs Sunday Nights on AMC at 10 pm EST.
To keep with the theme, all six products being shown were actually around in period in which “Mad Men” is set. Each commercial will begin at the agency and then show the modern footage for the ad created.
You can check a sneak peek of the commercials below! We will also be featuring sneak peeks later this week. Keep your eyes peeled.
