Mariah Carey Expecting Twins?

Last month we broke the news that Mariah Carey was pregnant and now we have discovered that the pop diva may be getting more than she expected! Mariah was out promoting her new Christmas CD recently and naturally the subject of her pregnancy came up and when it did, she let this slip out…

Per Hollyscoop:

“I just hope that they don’t turn out hating Christmas,” she said during a radio interview with Radio Disney’s Ernie D.

Twins? Could it be? When asked by Extra if she’s having twins, the mom-to-be remained tight-lipped.

“I’m not telling anyone,” she said. But she did admit that she’s blowing up. Literally. “My fingers obviously swelled a little bit. I can’t even get this ring off if I tried,” she joked.

Saying “they” sounds quite telling though. Who refers to their baby as multiple people? Don’t forget as well, she’s already admitted that she used fertility drugs to have the child with Nick Cannon which also leads to multiples a lot. I’m sure we’ll all find out soon enough!

SURPRISE!!! Mariah Carey is Pregnant

In perhaps the worst kept secret next to Charlie Sheen’s love of hookers and booze, Mariah Carey has finally confirmed that she and husband, Nick Cannon are expecting their first child.

The songstress confirmed to ‘The Today Show’ this morning that she is pregnant and not just hiding a slab of beef under her designer mu-mu.

Via People:

“Yes, we are pregnant. This is true. It’s been a long journey. It’s been tough because I’ve been trying to hold on to a shred of privacy.”

Carey, who was joined onstage by husband Cannon, also revealed that she suffered a miscarriage two years ago.

The two would not reveal the due-date stating that “…it is still early.”

Mariah Carey Set To Make A ‘Big Announcement’ Tomorrow

There have been lots of rumors going around about Mariah Carey the last few months. The majority of the rumors deal with her allegedly being pregnant. Well it looks like Mimi is planning on setting the record straight finally. She’s going to be on TV tomorrow with a big announcement. Mariah’s hubby Nick Cannon has his own radio show in NYC and he called his wife to talk about the baby rumors. Mariah didn’t confirm or deny, but she hinted that she’ll be making a big announcement tomorrow.

Per Perez Hilton:

She says it will “enlighten people” a little bit more and that it’s “too much” at this point with all the baby rumors and speculation.

Set those DVRs or tune into ‘The Today‘ show to hear her big announcement. It’s either that she’s expecting or perhaps she’s going to talk about her fertility treatments that she’s been doing for months. These treatments are allegedly the reason for her weight gain. Mariah Carey Expecting Baby Boy

Mariah Carey is still going with the look of keeping Nick Cannon’s career and manhood in stuffed under her shirt and still hasn’t confirmed she is pregnant. She has been in the game far too long to blow a People cover. Mimi will be announcing her womb is no longer vacant on Oprah as a white light shines behind her and glitter cannons explode behind in a dazzling spectacle as her minions pass out copies of ‘Merry Christmas II You’ before exiting on a gleaming white pony.

Obviously she is preggers and Hollybaby says that an insider-witness-source type has blabbed to them that Mariah is pregnant with a baby boy.

“She’s having a boy, but the reason that Mariah didn’t want to say anything is because she is 40, and she’s superstitious,” the insider says. “But she’s going to appear on Oprah and The View, so she’s planning on making the announcement soon.”

I am willing to bet my entire life savings ($23.82) that she will still have bedazzled onesies and pink leopard print tights for this little sparklebeast. It will also be delivered via c-section because The Mimi doesn’t do labor.

Robert Pattinson to Guest Star on ‘Entourage’

Robert Pattinson is going to take a break from his brooding and tortured soul face to give us some comedy. The ‘Twilight’ star will be guest starring as a male Mariah Carey on “Entourage.”

“ Mrs. Ari is still fuming over Ari’s angry meltdown the night before, Ari tries desperately to keep her surprise party on track. The guys attempt to stage an intervention for Vince, who has gone off the deep end. Turtle scrambles to find investors to save the tequila business. Eric receives an unexpected request from Terrance McQuewick, which leads him to consider Scott’s business proposal. Robert Pattinson guest stars as Ari’s most difficult client ever.”

I have $7 and a box of Kashi that says Mimi will out diva-beast him on her most compassionate day.

Mariah Carey Speaks About Pregnancy

Mariah Carey is finally addressing all those pregnancy rumors, dropping her biggest hint yet that she is pregnant with her first child. However, she won’t exactly confirm or deny whether she is expecting a bundle of joy, despite the obvious baby bump she was seen with (see the photo here.)

Per Us:

“I appreciate everyone’s well wishes. But I am very superstitious,” she wrote on her website Wednesday. “When the time is right, everyone will know–even Cindi Berger [her publicist].”

Rumors about a possible Mariah Carey pregnancy began swirling earlier this summer and kicked back up last week when she stepped out wearing a $140 spaghetti strap halter neck frock from maternity clothing store Pea In The Pod while visiting a steak house in Brazil. Much like his wife, Nick Cannon has remained tight-lipped on the subject himself, playing coy when addressing the rumors on his radio show earlier this week.

“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it time and time again — when my wife feels like talking about whatever she wants to talk about, you will hear it directly from her,” he said. “We all know it’s extremely personal, and it is for a woman to deal with things with her body, and especially when dealing with the idea of childbirth and all that stuff.

In other words, yes – she’s pregnant, but they are just not ready to talk about it. Reports are that Carey is four months along, but you just know she’ll pull a J-Lo and never actually officially announce she’s knocked up – she’ll wait until she’s actually popped.

Jennifer Lopez Out As ‘American Idol’ Judge

The game of musical chairs continues at the “American Idol” judges’ table after Jennifer Lopez, who was in the running – really a front-runner, is out of the picture. According to People, J-Lo’s diva demands became too much for The Fox Television Network to deal with.

“Her demands got out of hand,” says the source. “Fox had just had enough.”

Fox and production company Fremantle Media both replied to request for comment with a big, fat…wait for it…”No comment.” What those “demands” were is not known, but it’s too bad. J-Lo would have been fun to watch. With Lopez out of the picture, does that mean there’s room for Jessica Simpson at the table? Not so fast – as rumors are rumbling that another diva, Mariah Carey, would “love” to be a judge on ‘American Idol’. Husband Nick Cannon admits his wife regularly talks about working on it, but he is unsure if she would be able to be a judge due to her other commitments.

Per Us:

“She talks about it. She says, ‘I would love to do that,’” her husband Nick Cannon, 29, says. “She is one of the greatest singers of our time; she would be great. I don’t know if she has enough time, though, but if they could work with her schedule, I know she would love to do Idol. Let’s start the campaign!”

I’m still holding out a glimmer of hope for a Simpson/Randy Jackson/Bret Michaels judging panel!

Hollywood Dame Exclusive Interview: Lolene

Before she had recorded a note of her debut album, Lolene had already chosen its inspired title: The Electrick Hotel. “I call it The Electrick Hotel because when you put the album on, you’re my guest. I’m going to take care of you,” says the British singer, songwriter, and performer. “You’re invited to come and stay a while in my world, which I see as like a hotel where each song is a room that captures a different part of my personality and expresses different emotions. So if you’re feeling happy, you can go to the penthouse and dance to ‘Sexy People.’ If you’re heartbroken, you can visit the first-floor and have a cry to ‘Beautiful Disaster.’”

Lolene began writing songs and singing backing vocals for trip-hop artist Martina Topley-Bird (known for her work with Tricky) and local drum-and-bass pioneer Roni Size. After completing school, she moved to London and fronted an all-girl pop vocal group signed to a development deal at BMG Records. She wrote all the group’s material and realized she had a knack for writing melodies and lyrics.

It was during this time in London that Lolene acquired her nickname “Miss Foo Foo,” bestowed on her by a friend who watched Lolene drool over expensive items she couldn’t afford as the two window-shopped on London’s swanky Kings Road. “’Miss Foo Foo’ is the name of my company as well as my naughty alter ego,” Lolene says. “She’s the heightened, fabulous, eccentric part of my personality — the girl who wants it all right now. She lives in a world of heartbreak and handbags. She’s a chaser of dreams.” Miss Foo Foo is boujis (a British expression meaning to be fancy or posh) — the type who hangs out in London’s chic, ultra-private nightclubs.

Glam as it may have been, the London scene wasn’t enough to contain someone as driven as Lolene. Armed with nothing but a suitcase and a demo CD, she moved to Hollywood in search of her big break. Based on Lolene’s songwriting talent, multi-platinum producer Jonathan “J.R.” Rotem signed her to his publishing label Beluga Heights/Sony ATV. She went to work collaborating with such heavy-hitters as Andreas Carlsson (Backstreet Boys, ’N Sync, Celine Dion), Christopher Rojas (Pink, Backstreet Boys, Joss Stone), Makeba Riddick (Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Beyonce), Evan Bogart (The Writing Camp), Danja (Britney Spears, Nelly Furtado, Timbaland), Harvey Mason Jr. (Underdogs), and Christina Milian, for whom Lolene penned the single “Diamonds” featuring Kanye West.

Recently, I had the chance to ask Lolene about things such as her music, goals, and musical inspirations. You can read about it below.

When did you first realize you had an interest in music and what sparked that interest?

I went to my first dance class at age 2 and since then I have been dancing, singing and performing in some way or another. I specifically remember listening to Mariah Carey and Kylie Minogue in my bedroom and realizing that this is what I wanted to do.

How did you break into the music industry?

I broke in through the back window, turned the nob and ran up the stairs! But seriously, I got my break through song-writing.

How would you describe the sound of your music, and what makes you feel like your album is different from the other artists in your genre?

I would describe my music as awkward universal pop. I make music to uplift and inspire people in some way. So there is definitely positive elements to my music. It’s also very electrosexual! But I don’t feel I’m in a position to describe how my music differs. I leave that to the good ears of my listeners.

What are some of your plans for promoting your album – do you plan on doing some touring?

Absolutely, I love to perform live, so you will definitely be catching me at a venue near you. I plan on being everywhere, including under your bed.

Musically speaking, what are some of your short term and long term goals you have lined out for yourself? What are your hopes for the upcoming year?

Universal pop domination and to continue making great music for the most amazing fans in the world.

Lyrically speaking, where do your song inspirations come from? Is it easy for you to sit down and write lyrics, or is it a bit of a challenge sometimes?

Writing lyrics comes naturally to me. i started as a poet and this is a gift I’ve been blessed with. I am truly inspired by tragedy and triumph and everything in between, I could literally write a song about anything, and I am really thankful for this gift.

Who are some of your musical interests and influences?

I am hugely influenced by Madonna, Kate Bush and Rick James. They are true showmen and entertainers. I also love Joan Collins and Cher. I really like music from the 90′s.

Who are some artists you’d like to work with?

Without a doubt Kate Bush. I would also really like to collaborate with Blondie, Ace of Base, Empire of the Sun and Prince.

What is the experience like to be out somewhere and be recognized by a fan?

It’s all still very new to me and I have to admit the first time did trip me out for a good minute. This is because you are in your own private world of creation for so long, like the studio or rehearsal room and so you forget there is a world out there sometimes. It can catch you off guard for sure. But I appreciate it and understand this is something I signed up for.

Besides music, what are some of your other interests and hobbies?

Food, I love to cook and eat. I am a total spa enthusiast also. And of course, cocktail mixologist!
