Chris Brown Hires Mark Geragos

Drake is being pegged as the “suspect” and Chris Brown the “victim” in their nightclub brawl. While an eyewitness says that Drake and Chris never actually laid hands on each other, Chris has hired Mark Geragos and evidence is popping up. Click HERE for the photos of the aftermath…

According to TMZ, Brown has spoken with the NYPD and “physical evidence” has come into play. Whatever they have is still a mystery but it allegedly proves that Drake and Meek Mill were the attackers. The site notes that their sources say Brown’s entourage incited the fight and the bottle of champagne was sent to antagonize Drake and his crew and was not a peace offering. They had exchanged “trash talk” and were flipping each other off throughout the night.

Chris Browns’ Larry King Live Interview – Video

Chris Brown has appeared on “Larry King Live” to plead his case in the court of public opinion claiming he was ashamed of himself for assaulting his girlfriend at the time Rihanna, but says he wouldn’t go into the details of the evening out of respect for Rihanna’s privacy. Brown appeared with his mother Joyce Hawkins and lawyer Mark Geragos and tried his best to explain why he lost his temper with her.

Per Examiner:

“I feel like that just there — there’s — we’re young. We’re both young. So nobody taught us how to love one another. Nobody taught us a book on how to control our emotions or our anger.”

Thats the biggest bs excuse I’ve heard as of yet. Chris also blamed his mother’s abusive husband, claiming he doesn’t remember the incident happening. He also stated that he may have become violent because of his age. Sounds to me like a typical abuser, always placing the blame elsewhere except on your own shoulders. Brown, who also told King that he’s still in love with Rihanna and even said he could see a situation where the two could potentially be married in the future, pleaded guilty in June to felony assault and was sentenced to five years’ probation, 180 days of community service, and a year-long domestic violence program, but no jail time. There is also a protective stay away order in effect for Rihanna against Brown.

Per Examiner:

“As far as the actual, what I have to do, I felt personally that, as far as, not saying as a celebrity, because I don’t exclude myself and try to become like, oh, well I’m a celebrity so I shouldn’t be punished. But I feel like, with what I’m capable of doing, as far as influencing people, influencing kids, the youth, I can do a lot more to help the community, other then picking up trash. But, I don’t, I’m not saying picking up trash is something wrong, I’m willing to do it, I’m just saying I know I can do a lot more, which I intend to do, aside from my community service.”

Sorry Chris, but I believe you’re now one of the last people we want influencing today’s children. In spite of the pleas agreement, Brown seems determined to downplay the incident going so far as to questioning whether the photo of Rhianna’s bruised and battered was altered because “That’s not who I am as a person”. When King brought up the prior incidents that were unearthed in Brown’s probation report, an argument overseas and an incident in Barbados where Brown allegedly broke a car window after a fight, the singer refuted any suggestion that the occurrences were evidence of previous abuse and claimed those events never happened.

Per Examiner:

“I’m not aware of those instances,” he explained. “Especially of that nature … as a couple we have had arguments, but nothing to this point.”

Selective memory at its finest. I’m sure I’m not alone in wondering what his ultimate goal for doing the interview in the first place, but I’ve got some theories. None of them being sincere.

Rihanna Expected to Take Stand Against Chris Brown Today

Today is a big day in the whole Rihanna vs. Chris Brown case. Rihanna is due to take the stand in court against the singer, more than four months after the horrific night where Brown was accused of assaulting her. The preliminary hearing will determine if there is enough evidence against him to stand trial. While both parties are required to appear in court today, Rhianna could very well refuse to take the stand due to the nature of the case. If she does take the stand, Rihanna is expected to describe what was written in the detective’s report from the night of the alleged attack. She could be on the stand for more than two hours. It will be her first time publicly talking about what happened the night her boyfriend allegedly attacked her. Her lawyer, Donald Etra, said Rihanna cleared her schedule so she could be in court if prosecutors call her as a witness. Her testimony could very well make or break the case.

One big question looms over Rihannas head: Will Browns attorney Mark Geragos cross examine her if she does indeed testify? If the case goes to trial, Geragos has said that he will make a big point that Rihanna was the initial aggressor in the situation, repeatedly hitting Brown before he began hitting on her. Rihanna said Brown had beaten her before and the violence was escalating. Also important to the case is the pictures taken of Rhianna after the attack. Those photos will almost certainly be introduced into evidence during todays hearing. Geragos has said he hoped to avoid the spectacle of public testimony, but plea-deal talks failed and California’s Supreme Court last week rejected his request to delay the hearing to decide if the case should go to trial.

Los Angeles Criminal Court Judge Patricia Schnegg decided against allowing cameras into the courtroom during Rihanna’s testimony, so there will be no tv or livestream coverage of todays events. Brown had better hope that Rihanna is having a good day, because his freedom ultimately lies in her hands.

Rihanna to Testify Against Chris Brown

Rihanna will be called upon by the D.A. to appear in court. The singer will be subpoenaed to the hearing on June 22nd. Her attorney confirmed her call to the stand in the case against Chris Brown. Donald Etra stated that RiRi is doing everything that has been asked of her after the former couple’s argument gone violent.

“Etra says his client will cooperate and take the stand. It’s not at all unexpected that the alleged victim would be called to the stand in a prelim.”

Lets hope justice prevails.
