Mark Wahlberg opened his mouth and something other than ‘Say hello to ya motha for meh.’ came out. During an interview with Men’s Journal a question regarding the terrorist attacks on 9/11 came up. Instead of nodding gravely and giving a PC answer, he attempted to engage in witty banter. (One should probably note: Wahlberg has publicly acknowledged that he was supposed to be on one of the planes that crashed.)

My Guess: This one might have several answers out there. Robert Pattinson was being courted for a role on Tom Cruise‘s new film,’Rock of Ages.’ The director, Adam Shankman, was told MTV back in November: “Rob is a good singer. There were times during the ‘Rock of Ages’ casting process [we thought of him], and he was never available.” However, I don’t classify Sparklepants as “teeny-bopper” so I’d have to guess Taylor Lautner is the younger star and the older star is still Tom Cruise for the new Mission Impossible movie.

This is an actual possibility. Mark Wahlberg is a Justin Bieber fan and equated him to a “white Tupac.” (I think all the Funky Bunch tokin’ in the 90’s has confused him. I blame Hector the Booty Inspector. He must have meant Vanilla Ice because The Biebs is about as hardcore as a box of Hot Wheels.)
Wahlberg talked with NY Mag about his upcoming film project that Paramount is entertaining. He has pitched the idea and the movie giant is “in talks” with “The Fighter” star.
Where else would celebrities such as Blake Lively and Justin Bieber rub shoulders with controversial figures as Iraqi strongman Muqtada al-Sadr and French fascist Marine Le Pen? “TIME Magazine” has released their list of 100 important people for this year – The annual count of the people who, for better or worse, make our world fascinating and includes an essay by their mentors. Bieber got big nods, as well as Bruno Mars in the music world. Amy Poehler and “Glee!” star Chris Colfer were also the big TV stars to get honored on the TIME 100 list.
Is this a late April-Fools day joke? Bradley Cooper is in talks to star in Relativity Media’s upcoming remake of ‘The Crow.’ The 1994 original, based on the comic book about a musician who comes back from the dead to avenge the murder of his fiance, shot to cult fame as soon as it was released, but it’s always been tainted with sadness: actor Brandon Lee was killed during the filming of one of the movie’s more iconic scenes as the result of a props mistake on set – a live round was accidentally mixed into the blanks which were meant to be fired.
The new film is moving ahead quickly, with director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (“28 Days Later”) attached to the movie only a week ago. He and Cooper reportedly hit it off during a recent meeting in Spain, eagerly sharing their vision for the character and the film. What that means, we’re not sure… but it sounds like they might have been smoking a little too much wacky-tobacky if they think this is a good idea.
Per MTV:
“Relativity would not confirm the talks but sources say Cooper, currently in theaters in Relativity’s hit thriller ‘Limitless‘, is keen to board the project.”
The Crow reboot has been in the works since 2007, with British filmmaker Stephen Norrington previously attached to direct. Nick Cave wrote the most recent draft of the script, though sources say a new writer will be brought on to work with Fresnadillo. The project seemed to be fading fast when Mark Wahlberg declined the role sometime back, but Cooper’s involvement certainly changes all of that. Now, I actually happen to think Cooper can actually act, but The Crow is the definition of a dark and brooding character. That isn’t exactly the type of role the man is known for.
Really? I mean, I love Bradley Cooper, but I just don’t see this one. Hollywood has been recycling a lot of scripts lately (even a few that have barely had time to collect dust), but this remake is a little hard to swallow – I see no reason to remake it. Isn’t The Crow on the list of “untouchable” movies with ‘Rocky Horror Picture Show‘ and ‘The Evil Dead?’

“The Lovely Bones” was a haunting book turned into film. Originally Ryan Gosling was cast to play Susie Salmon’ s father, Jack. The final product starred Mark Wahlberg and most rumors were an age difference being the key factor in Gosling’s replacement.
Ryan admits that age had nothing to do with it. He answered the question posed to him at the annual actors roundtable discussion with a surprise.
“We had a different idea of how the character should look,” Gosling said. “I really believed he should be 210 pounds. We didn’t talk very much during the preproduction process, which was the problem,” he said. “It was a huge movie, and there’s so many things to deal with, and he couldn’t deal with the actors individually. I just showed up on set, and I had gotten it wrong. Then I was fat and unemployed.”

You have to love Mark Wahlberg. From his pant dropping days with the Funky Bunch to his career packed with street thug slayer/cop/football player. The fact that he is deliciously built is just gravy on his Beef Manhattan.
What is really fantastic about Marky Mark is that he says whatever is on his mind. For instance, during a press conference for “The Fighter” he spoke of finally getting to work with Amy Adams. They were due to co-star in a previous film, but he voiced his jealousy in the fact she didn’t take part in the bomb.
“I was such a huge fan of [Amy Adams]. We’d actually had the luxury of having lunch before to talk about another movie, and it was a bad movie that I did. She dodged the bullet. I don’t want to tell you what movie… All right, The Happening with M. Night Shyamalan. It is was it is. F*cking trees, man, the plants. F*ck it. You can’t blame me for wanting to try to play a science teacher. You know? I wasn’t playing a cop or a crook.”
Honesty is the best policy. So is shirtlessness.

I recently ventured to Coney Island to indulge in some freak filled frivolity. So when a list of celebs with a few imperfections surfaces, I had to jump on the chance to feel slightly superior.
Third Nipple Boasting Celebs:

Carrie Underwood admitted to having a third nipple during her American Idol audition. She had it removed thanks to be embarrassed by it.
Tilda Swinton also has an extra nip and like Mark, opts to be proud of it and even stated she used it to freak out her siblings.

Web Toed Celebs:

Dan Aykroyd was also born with webbed toes. This was revealed in the movie Mr. Mike’s Mondo Video and in a short film on “Saturday Night Live.”
Danielle Panabaker is a younger star with movies like “Sky High” and “Herbie Fully Loaded” on her resume. The starlet has the condition although it is not as pronounced as others.
Tricia Helfer, known for her sexy role on “Battlestar Galatica,” is also fearlessly rocking the web.
“I do have webbed toes! I’d mentioned it before and then had all these doctors hounding my agents offering to fix them. But I don’t want them fixed. I like my toes! It’s just the second and third toe, not the whole foot.”
Rachel Stevens (big in the UK) is another of the proud web toed wonder. She showed off her foot during an interview.
Extra Fingers:
Prince of Persia star Gemma Arterton was born with two extra fingers. She had a second pinky on each hand. They were removed as they didn’t contain any bone. It was a family condition that both her father and her grandfather were also born with.
Speaking of wonky…Denzel Washington has a pinky deformity. He broke his pinky while playing basketball as a child. He never had it taken care of and it set incorrectly and now juts out from the knuckle.
Now this is the type of news to start my day off right! “Twilight” star Kellan Lutz has reportedly signed a new deal to model for designer Calvin Klein and will be featured in a very familiar ad campaign.

“He’s going to be their new Mark Wahlberg,” says a fashion insider. “Kellan has been signed for a huge campaign that will feature him in his skivvies all over billboards and in magazines. The executives have a plan to mode the ads very similar to the famous Mark Wahlberg campaign in the 90s. They want to recreate the look of the hugely successful ads, and who is better than Kellan Lutz to fill out little underwear?” “
For you kittens not old enough to remember, in 1992 Wahlberg created quite the moment when his advertising campaign shot by Herb Ritts became one of the most talked-about series of photos in years. Lutz started out as a model for Abercrombie & Fitch before pursuing a career in acting and becoming a part of the “Twilight” series. He has revealed he works out and diets daily to look the part of vampire Emmett Cullen in the franchise. In addition to lifting weights, Lutz does lots of isometric exercises, such as push-ups and crunches, and swims as often as possible. Looks like Marky Mark finally has a worthy stomach-muscled successor. I definitely think they have the right man for the job!

Christian Bale is notorious for his method acting and even used it as an excuse for his infamous rant. (Fun fact- Daniel Day Lewis is also a huge proponent of method acting.) So questions of just how far he taking his dedication to his latest role as a crack addict are rumbling. According to the National Enquirer (via Celebitchy) his costar and new friend, Mark Wahlberg, is extremely concerned with Bale’s health.
“You gotta eat man. You’re messing with your health!” Mark Wahlberg made that desperate plea to co-star Christian Bale when Bale continued to starve himself after dropping more than 40 pounds for their film “The Fighter” sources say.
“The Dark Knight” star is said to have resorted to living off of fruit and water to drop the pounds to appear as a gaunt coke addict for his role. To further the worry he has been working out on top of the starvation.
“Wahlberg – a health fanatic who worked himself into great shape to play a champion boxer in “The Fighter” – has begged Bale to stop dieting, said the source. Mark feels Christian is taking the whole ‘in character’ thing too far. He’s afraid Christian is getting Karen Carpenter-thin, and he’s worried about his heart,” the source divulged. He wants Christian to realize that acting is a job, and it’s not worth risking your health.”
Remind yourself that this story comes from the National Enquirer. In all honesty I know very little about dietary needs beyond my own of cookies, booze and some Kashi Go Lean Crunch. (It’s a delicious cereal.) However, if one were living on an orange and a couple of bananas a day and then pumping iron at a gym I doubt he or she would be able to walk let alone spend 12 hour days on a set working.
If you look at some of the photos below Bale is indeed gaunt, but notice there is still muscle and definition in his arms. The baggy clothes further the effect of his frail appearance. This also isn’t the first time he has dropped weight for a role. Anyone seen “The Machinist” before? He followed that with a Batman film and was able to bulk back up.
My point? Mark Wahlberg is insanely hot.
